I don't love this place, but my wife and kids like it when we're in Munising so I deal with it. Seems like just about every time I have to deal with somebody on the staff with a bad attitude. The first couple times I was there I waited around an hour for the food, which is insane. At least that part has improved. I really wanted to like this place more than I did. For the money I expected a higher end burger and better service. Family of 5 had 2 burgers, shared a large fry, had a whitefish basket, whitefish sandwich, and a chicken tender basket, plus a beer and four tap waters came to $72 (over $85 with tip). The tenders were good and looked hand breaded (I think with corn flakes?). My 3 year old loved them. Fries were hand cut and fresh. Whitefish basket was pretty good. I would say probably fried just 30s-1min too long- just a tad dry. Biggest complaint was the service - it wasn't so much it was understaffed ( maybe by 1 person?) it was just the staff were slow- no hustle . For the lunch hour it was a long line and staff was moving like they had only a handful of customers. Probably just signs of the times I guess, but staff needs more leadership and HUSTLE! read more

I have to say after reading all the raves & this burger joint being rated 14th I was very disappointed. I recently stopped on my way home from Marquette. The restaurant was nice, it was clean. You order at the counter, I opted for carry out since I wanted to get home. That was my first mistake. I ordered a classic burger with cheese & an order of fries. First I will say the fries were to die for, they are fresh cut, skins on & fried to perfection, my only regret was that I did not eat in so I could have splashed them with malt vinegar which was available. The burger on the other hand ...... it was good, defiantly fresh, but on the down side, they forgot to put the cheese on the burger which was an additional $1.50 & I was really disappointed that the bun was not grilled. The burger was tasty, & if not for the above mentioned I would have been very happy with it. I did think it was a little on the pricey side. So, you just stepped off that boat that took you on a tour of the Pictured rocks nearby and you realize that you are cold, this is the perfect place to sit down and thaw. Discovered this nice gem on a work trip in the UP. Delicious chicken sandwich and a great view! The Eh! chicken sandwich is great because it doesn't try to be too much...it's awesomeness comes from its simplicity. The great sauce and pickles are all you need and the bun was grilled perfectly. It's one heckuva sando. My tater tots were cooked perfectly too and it was a plentiful serving. I almost couldn't finish them. Almost. And it's a veteran owned company which I'm happy to support. This place is FAST. We waited maybe 10 minutes the first night when there were quite a few people in the restaurant. The next day (yes, it was so good we went twice in our two days there) I walked over, ordered, got my food, and returned to the bar before halftime ended. I've had the Impossible Burger at least 10 different places, and aside from my father grilling it, this is the best I've had. Absolute perfection on the grill here, and the sriracha offered makes it even better! The fries and tots had some of the best *crunch* I've ever experienced at a restaurant. We stopped here to grab some take out. My husband absolutely loved his burger. The chicken tenders were awesome. I got a Buffalo chicken sandwich. The chicken was cooked to perfection however there is a difference in eating a sandwich with Buffalo sauce and one swimming in it. There was so much, the bun got soggy and fell apart. That was very disappointing. Also, the fries are seasoned, which isn't a favorite. The fries are fantastic! The place is situated at a great spot and you have outdoor seating where you can look over the water. They also have a gluten free bread option free of cost which was perfect for my wife. You order right from the counter and have to put your own mustard ketchup on.
