ruined my entire weekend trip to Michigan i can't even lie it's my last day here tomorrow and i cant stop thinking about how yesterday i went to this subway hoping for a familiar taste. i was wrong. the ladies at the front were so rude and kept giggling. and worst of all, they didnt have lettuce! should have closed early or said something before my friend started her order. So been in the UP for about a week now. Just kind of enjoying retirement and seeing the sites, Lots of things here remind me of California, like how bad the local subway is. This place is a joke, did my order online. Went to pick it up when they said it was ready and they hadn't even started making it yet. So after they knew I arrived and it was suppose to be ready they still proceeded to make the 5 people standing in line order before mine, after the third guy I went back in the car for 10 minutes and came back in to check and they had just started them, whats the point of having a convience of an online order platform if your employees dont know how to use it. They need way more training here, half the staff looked half asleep or disheveled, shirts wrinkled and stained. How hard is it to make a sandwich. The owner of this franchise needs to step up and pay people more to get some quality workers here. Even after waiting for 25 minutes after the said pickup time they still screwed up my order when it was done both me and my wife subs, I mean it is an online order how can you not read what it says. Toasted a sub that should not of been toasted and forgot to add items to my wife's sub. Terrible, tried to go back again later in the week. Almost as bad. And the place was filthy, even the outside of the parking lot was wrecked, full of potholes and water in them. Garbage on the ground. Bathroom was gross and smelled like pee as well. Food is good, but the wait is unbearable. The slowest subway I have ever been to. When you go and the kids ask to go across the street to a circle K instead for a hotdog, you might know there is a problem. I timed it is averaging 16 minutes per person for a sub. There was only 8 people in the restaurant and it took over an hour and a half to get food and eat. Dreadfully disappointing. read more

Ranks as one of the nicer subways I've been to. Walked in, tables were clean. Workers were friendly. We knew we were going to spend the day on Grand Island so we wanted to take some sandwiches with us for lunch. This was perfect. I got myself a 6 inch and it was speedily made. They happily accommodated my request for extra bell peppers. Maybe I just haven't had subway in a while but my sandwich was delicious. Definitely a good option if you're looking for something quick and cheap to take away and eat for later. I saw a few people eating subway sandwiches while waiting in line for Pictured Rocks Cruises which is also not a bad idea. Hours are 7AM-10PM daily read more

Food and service was great for how busy it was during our visit over a busy weekend. Only issue was ice machine had black mold fall out with ice. I dumped out ice a few times and refilled and had same issue. Ended up drinking a half warm lemonade Please clean ice machine to protect yourself :). read more

Pulled into parking and two employees are out back of building talking. I went inside, there were 4 customers and 1 employee waiting on them. Outside employees came in and helped out, but the male employee didn't have his mask covering his nose during the entire time making sandwiches. This may seem trivial to some people but I think of all service people that have to wear a mask properly and it bothered me. I left without ordering. read more

This place is racist! The old lady at the counter refused to serve me a sandwich while she was ok serving all the rest of the white folks that were in the subway. She was rude and said she did not have bread while there was clearly lots of loaves of bread right behind her. I am not sure if subway has a corporate ethics department. But this is clearly unacceptable and the first time I felt clearly discriminated in my 25 years in the USA. I hope the owner takes some action. read more

Let me be candid, we eat at Subway here in Chicago, and while we are traveling, regularly. It is better than all the burger joints. Still, it isn't a gourmet meal, and we were rather jaded with Subway service after two really bad experiences while on the road in June and again in July. But we needed food for the kids, and fast, ahead of our 6pm Pictured Rocks Boat Cruise, and this place was right on the way. We were running late. We hoped for the best. We did not leave disappointed. Sandwiches were standard fare, and Subway tasty, but where these folks NAILED it was with speed and friendly service. You can't pay employees enough to work like this, and I am sure our sandwich maker wasn't getting rich making Subway sandwiches, but there was pride in getting the job done right and having us leave with a smile, and I really, really appreciated that. Made the sandwiches taste even better as we left port on the top deck of the Grand Island for our three hour tour. read more

I was asked if I wanted my sub toasted I did Took it to my hotel and by the time I got to it, the bread was rock hard, bacon was grey and soft. I realized they microwaved it not toasted it. Great sandwiches, Awesome Pizza, Nice location, good service. Wow - this came in as a nice surprise to us. Being in an unknown location, while on travel with 3 kids, we want to make sure that we eat clean known food rather than experiment. this subway is Open till 11:00 PM - so we could have our Dinner just after we come back from the sunset cruise of Pictured rocks and have a nice healthy dinner. How many of you know that some of the subways carry pizza ? this is one of them and the pizzas were certainly awesome, I mean they are equal/better than Pizza hut, very filling and healthier since you can have a lot more veggies on them. read more

Sheisty pricing. Most subways have a set amout you add to your sub to make it a combo meal. This one charges you for everything individually (without making it known) and calls it a "combo meal". It cost $10 for "combo meal" of a 6" sub, apple slices and a drink! Way to much to pay at a Subway! read more

Although my sandwich may have been 12 inches long, my review certainly won't be. I have a usual go-to selection when eating at Subway, which they prepared according to specifications that come down from corporate. However, the wrap-job was certainly not standard. When I went to get my sandwich out of its plastic bag, the first thing I touched was bare bread! While they have a large piece of coated paper to wrap a sandwich up in, none of my party's sandwiches were fully covered both the wrapping paper. I also thought at first that these sandwiches didn't even come with napkins, but I was mistaken. They did come with napkins, but these napkins were of no use, seeing as they had been wrapped in with the sandwiches and thus had all been coated in the sauces that we had put on our sandwiches. One of us even had his napkins embedded in his sandwich. Since the napkins wouldn't do anyone a lick of good, we just had to lick our fingers clean. On Saturday, we had only 45 minutes before our scheduled boat tour and were hungry. Saw the sign for Subway and figured we'd get a quick and cheap meal. We weren't going to stop because the place was so crowded. There must have been 30 people standing in line. Decided to join the queue. We got our sandwiches and were out the door in less than 15 minutes! The gals working behind the counter have sandwich making down to an artful science. There were 5 workers working in cheerful unison. Everyone made eye contact with us and offered a smile. As busy as they were, the two gals at the register area made friendly comments to us. The food was above normal Subway standards and the service was great! We will definitely be eating there again. read more

We live over 7 hours away and ordered a party sub for my son's birthday party in the Upper Peninsula. When we arrived, everything was ready and more! The sub was absolutely delicious, the veggies were on the side in a gorgeous set up as we had explained and the staff was pleaseant! The value was incredible and I just wished that more Subways were as great as this one. As a matter of fact, we had our party at Americ Inn, too bad Americ Inn didn't have the same graciousness and sincerity as Subway! read more

Great device and nice wait staff. Had the veggie sub with Avocado and it was great.

Staff was very friendly. The cucumbers were starting to go a little brown, so avoided those. Also, this subway does have the veggie patty, but its the same price as the Philly. (Almost $10 for a footlong). It was about $4 more than I'm used to paying for the same thing at other locations. read more
