Great pizza. All locations. Great menu and toppings. Why can't I post this unless it has 85 characters?!

Apparently when you run a special you only run it when the employees feel like cooking. Today's "special" was 2 slices of pizza for $3.25- from 11-4, apparently they decided not to make anymore pizza, she said they were all out for today, at 3:30. After sitting here for 10 minutes, I thought I'd write a review. I wonder what time they close- since the dining area closes and hour before the restaurant and the chairs are already on the table. When their sign says "help wanted" they're definitely not kidding, these folks are bottom of the barrel lazy. Don't waste your time folks!! read more

It's a very small dining area. The hvac system drips on your head where you stand to order pizza from. The pizza is a thicker crust that has a decent tangy sauce and is a bit chewy. read more

Cheese was definitely old and smelled horrible. Employees are rude in store and over the phone, but again do not eat their food its 100% old/rotten. It's unfortunate for them because you could have a "want to eat business" instead of "it's all we can get" business. Go to the grocery store and get an oven pizza over this at all cost!!! once you smell it, you will not feed it to anybody I promise you! read more

No dine. Just a few spots for parking in the front but there are some side lots for other businesses where you can park. The service was friendly and fast. There was a long line of people waiting for pizzas and the phone was ringing off the hook. It's on a side road off from the main road but easy to find. I got to meet pizza and they put tons and tons of meat on it. All flavorful. Plenty of cheese I could have used a little more sauce but the crust was crispy and not over thick. The meat really is what set the pizza apart. Fresh. Meaty. Just enough fat. Perfect salt. Tasy and if I'm not mistaken all local. Many of the restaurants in this area get there meet eggs and produce from local farms. Good stuff. Try it! Price was fair. Not a great deal but not the most of ever paid for a pizza. read more

Good pizza Average service Place needs some TLC. Ice fest season. I know they are busy. They totally ignore the phone rings. You had to come in to order and wait an hour to pick it up. The staff was slow and did not seemed too thrilled working there. But the pizza was very good mostly canned stuff ( toppings etc) but tasted fantastic. I end up going to this place almost everytime I am in the area. being vegetarian my options are very limited in Munising. This time there was no dinning in and the place was really dirty. read more

Good looking pizza with plenty toppings, but almost impossible to eat. Each slice was so bendy that all the toppings just ran off. Literally ate most of my pizza like a lasagna on my plate. Glad I had a fork! Too bad, might have been a Good pizza, but I'm Assuming it was way underdone..... not impressed. read more

They don't know how to answer their phone. you're better off going to Hunt Brothers or Happy's place for pizza.

Walked in yesterday around 6pm- Horrible customer service - very rude male employee with a mean look on his face came out of back and yelled "no more orders til we get caught up" and walked away. Everyone in the line looked at each other in disbelief. There were 2-3 other customers also waiting in line. He could have said -sorry we are really busy right now so if you place an order it might take over an hour for us to get you your pizza but nope he was very rude. 5 mins later while driving around deciding where to go next we saw him smoking a cigarette outside behind building. Wow! Owner needs to let that one go ASAP! The parties in front of us all left and we gave our service to someone else. I do not recommend this place. read more

My family and I are from the lower peninsula and were recommended this spot by the owner of the campground that we are staying at. One of the employees was immediately angry upon arriving and the entire time we've been waiting for our food he has been swearing, yelling, screaming, slamming things, complaining about other employees and customers and refused to take orders well before close!!! As tourists, who were really looking forward to this after a SUPER long drive all the way from Lansing, MI!!! We are very unhappy with the quality of professionalism here and will probably not be returning!!! Zero stars read more

Typical pizza at a Main Street. HOT, Flavorful, and awsome crust. Stopped in and they were so busy they didn't have time to answer the phone. Treated nicely at the order counter. The pizza was made correctly. Bread breadsticks were great too. We were starved and this hit the spot. read more

Went in to get 4 slices of Pizza and they had just sold out and they were putting one in the oven now and it would be about 15 minutes. We drove around exploring the town and came back in 15 minutes and they said we don't sell pizza by the slice after 4pm read more

I LOVE pizza, and this place doesn't disappoint! Super busy (45 minute wait) on a Wednesday night in July, and worth the wait. Tasty crust, excellent sauce & generous toppings + great counter service...the only that could make it better is if they offered a vegan cheese option. read more

We ordered inside and ate in. The street specialty pizza was delicious! The bottom was crispy with a chewy crust. The chef salad was large, shared with husband. Don't let the ambiance put you off. The service was efficient. We will definitely go back when in this area. read more

Damn. (Kendrick reference?). This entire place was just so uncomfortable to be in. First of all, the food was okay. After I ate two slices, my stomach felt like it was having an aneurysm. The pizza had so much grease that it could fill up the entire Picture Rocks lake. One of my dining companions had to use the restroom and when she tried to wash her hands, they had no soap! She had to go to the men's room to wash her hands. Some of the female workers went in there while there was no soap! I came up from Lansing with my family on vacation and was recommended this pizza spot by a local camp ground owner. Shortly after arriving one of the employees started swearing and badgering the company as well as the customers and angrily slamming things around stating that he did not want to be here past 10:30, etc. We're sitting here with our 4 year old child watching a grown man act like a child behind the counter. Service was absolute shit. Food was average and overcooked. The workers obviously have no customer service skills whatsoever. I called three times prior to just going in to order, as the result of the restaurant not taking phone calls, which apparently they're notorious for. The wait for the ONE medium pizza was thirty-five minutes, which was alright, but when picking it up, there were many people waiting to pick their orders up as well. None of the workers called names for orders, or even attempted to help these other customers. We ended up waiting an extra half an hour, and when finally approached, our order was sitting on the oven THE WHOLE TIME! The whole vibe of the place felt unsettling, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. I will definitely not be ordering from here ever again. :( read more

This place was pretty good for food in the Munising area. The pizza was better than most other places, not too badly priced, and was ready relatively quickly. We made a quick stop here, ordered, and then swung by a local grocer to grab some items before making a return to pick up our pizza. The restaurant inside isn't really much, just some tables. Overall a good stop, it also is often the only place to get takeout in the Munising area, and it's pretty good. read more

The kids loved the pizza and even ate the leftovers. I give them 4 stars based on the kids enjoying it (I tried it, no issues) and 3 stars for the wait and they overcooked some of it. We must have come at a peak time, as the wait was maybe 45min. The price was reasonable. read more

It is great. If you want undercooked pizza, rude staff and slow service. Literally a sign on the inside that says "If we don't answer the phone we are busy." Staff hangs out back smoking herb. Guy slicing up the pizza did so at a literal snails pace. Guy working register could not be bothered to answer the phone. Kids working the line had no sense of urgency. No lie my pizza was RAW in the center. The wood fired options in town are way better with a better staff and attitude. The joint looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. Can only imagine what's behind the prep station. I worked for PJs for several years. I know what a pizza restaurant should look like and this fails in every category. Amazed they have not been shut down. If it were not for the summer tourists who didn't know any better Main Street Pizza in Munising would be out of business. read more

We have tried to order from here several times during our week in town, but multiple attempts calling each time yields no phone response. I've verified the phone number with them too, when I arrived. Still no one picks up. When I did arrive to place my order (since no one picked up the phone), I waited in line outside the shop. 2 groups were in front of me. When I went inside, I attempted to place my order. I was interrupted and told they stopped taking orders 3 minutes ago. I asked if it mattered I called 5 times in the last half hour to attempt to order and then just waited awhile outside, and she said no. That will be my last attempt going to Main Street Pizza. That's ok though. Tonight we will eat at Pictured Rocks Pizza (amazing pizza, and infinitely better service). We also got to try out EJ's Dine or Dash across the street and fell in love with their burgers and pierogis and have eaten there twice as well. Definitely try Pictured Rocks Pizza and EJ's when in Munising! Skip Main Street Pizza! Not worth the big effort to not even get any food! read more

We called for delivery to our hotel. They advertise in the hotel book. We were told that it would Be an hr to deliver to hotel but 25 minutes if we picked up. Since it was already 8:30 pm we elected to pick it up ourselves. The place was packed and they weren't answering the phone anymore. There were 3 people working their butts off. When my husband called in the pizza order he asked for their special and asked if the green olives could get swapped out for Black. They said "sure". They gave the pizza to my husband and asked him if he had paid for it yet. He said he was ethical and no he did not. So he paid and we left. The pizza was pretty heavy as in weight to Carry! When we opened it we noticed that it had green olives instead of Black. We are not that fussy so it was not a big deal to us and knowing how busy they were we let it pass. The pizza was loaded and delicious. They didn't skimp on the toppings for The Deluxe Pizza. It had large chunks of ham, pepperoni, mushrooms, green olives, onion, green pepper and an ample amount of cheese. I typically like sausage and whatever pizza but I did not miss the sausage on this creation. They serve other foods too including sub sandwiches which my husband eyed up at the restaurant and said there were a couple that looked pretty good. We would eat at this place again for lunch or dinner and if we come Back to Munising would like to try some of their other menu items. read more

I've never written a review before , however, I just picked up my pizza and it's inedible. We had to throw it away. The pizza was so soggy that we could not pick up any piece to eat. I've never seen anything like this before and the box was wet inside along the perimeter of the box. I suggest you monitor your product better. I feel like you stole $25 ! read more

Well, it was inedible and I threw the whole thing away. I think only the second time in 40 years I did that to a pizza. Center was so soggy everything fell off and actually my have been way under cooked. As far as service, I watched them cut my jalapeño pizza and not give it to me for about 15 minutes, even after asking. Seriously though, how can you screw up a pizza that bad? We're snowmobiling in the Munising area, staying in Wetmore and heard Main Street Pizza had the Best Pizza around. After a long day we called about 10 times to order food. Someone finally answered, only to tell us that, although it is advertised, they don't deliver. Another group staying here with us had the same problem. No one would answer the phone so they had to drive there to place their order. While waiting for their food they watched the counter person pick up the ringing phone multiple times, look at the number and simply not answer. I thoroughly enjoyed my Main Street Pizza experience! Came on a Monday during off-season when most restaurants were closed. Service was courteous and efficient - but we were also the only dine-in customers. They have some seating on the side (with outlets that we used to charge up our phones after a long day!) We ordered a large pizza with ham and pineapple, and they were generous with the toppings. The pizza was great, the crust was perfect and had a bite to it like a thin crust pizza, but had the doughy thickness of a normal pizza. The cheese was really melty as well to a point where some of it was falling off as we picked it up. Talk about fresh! We also ordered some nachos to share as a family. They were tasty, but nothing to particularly rave about. Eat here! Doesn't look like much, take out only but so delicious. We had ham, pepperoni, mushrooms and pineapple. The crust was just right, and enough cheese with the regular amount. She even gave us paper plates. We ate outside in the sun at the park watching the harbor. For what we paid we got hot, delicious dinner plus leftovers for a snack. Great value for your $$. Here, The pizza and bread sticks were really good the boneless chicken "wings" were ok. The nachos were good and they even remembered to leave the black olives off, as I requested.
