    Lasagna is homemade

This has been the best meal of our Michigan trip. Our hotel recommended it and we are so glad we came. We sat at the bar to avoid the wait for a table. They currently do not have a liquor license since the passing of the owner in October 2023. You can grill your own steak. My boyfriend chose to do this. It was fun to grill along with the chef. They give you seasonings and garlic butter to put on your steak. He started with a salad that was made with spinach and fresh greens. It was nice to see they don't use iceberg lettuce! They don't make their own salad dressings. I had the homemade lasagna. It's huge and taste very good. I had the chicken soup to start and a side of sautéed green beans. The soup is homemade. All the food was high quality and well priced. There is plenty of parking in the attached lot. Staff was friendly and efficient.

Great food we loved our waitress she was great! Please keep this place in business, no alcohol but the food is really worth it!

I was hesitant due to other reviews but we had a nice time. The staff was genuinely happy, warm, and very attentive. The blackened trout was perfect and Spousal Unit enjoyed their whitefish. The breadstick and salad were meh but the fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked. We would try again.

The food and service was great! They were busy, yet very attentive. My husband got a burger and I got a steak sandwich. Both were solid. I would definitely recommend this place if you're near Munising. Parking is easy and the vibes are good.

Was recommended this place by our Pictured Rocks kayaking tour guide who grew up in the area; he said this is one of the few sit-down restaurants in the area. When we came, it was PACKED (some kind of game going on idk i don't speak sports) so they said we would have to wait 40 minutes. We went to ask about or status after 20 minutes and they ended up seating us right then? Anyways; server introduced himself and he was really nice! Made lots of jokes and was attentive even though they were crazy busy. I got a blackened whitefish with salad, mashed potatoes, and breadsticks. Whitefish was cooked to perfection. Loved the tartar sauce it came with. Mashed potatoes were also delicious and came with a gracious amount of gravy. Salad was a good bit of mixed greens and cherub tomatos and red onion. My partner got a New York strip medium rare; it was so juicy! Portion is incredibly generous. They cook it on this giant grill looking thing (apologies for my lack of cooking vocabulary) Also got a Blake's cider which was so good! And also a black cherry beer, and I usually don't like beer but this one really did just taste like black cherry soda !

Holy wah, look at all of the shrimp!

(Reposted, seems there's a duplicate entry for Foggy's Steakhouse.) We rolled in hungry and a bit thirsty after attending Pictured Rocks' Day in Munising, MI. The weather was fighting back the drizzles and refused to warm up. We bellied up to the bar where Becky greeted us warmly. She was quick with menus and drinks, explaining at the daily special was a French Dip sammich from the previous night's leftover prime rib special. As she said that, I saw at least four sets of eyes roll back into their respective heads. Suffice to say, the special was a popular and well-enjoyed choice. I didn't even crack the menu because I was not about to argue with four sets of rolling eyes! SH (Smokin'Hubster)ordered his usual Shrimp Basket and we settled in. We sipped our beers and chatted with the folks at the bar. There was a very friendly and welcoming vibe. The bar is decorated with sports memorabilia, particularly in support of my dear Detroit Red Wings. There were framed jerseys from Steve Y. (if you have to ask...) and Nicky Lidstrom and I was in my happy hockey place. The food arrived quickly and. I have no words. The portions were huge. I mean, we were hungry, but the plates were still daunting. Smokin'Hubster told me and Becky that he's never had so much shrimp in a shrimp platter. (ASIDE: He actually offered to share, which NEVER happens!). He even asked for more cocktail sauce, so take that as a tip. I was overcome by the delectable fumes from the dipping sauce, which was well-represented with garlic and rosemary. I usually hate to dip my sammiches - messy and what are you trying to hide? - but not this time. I dipped my fries. SH dipped his fries. The cheese was so stringy in every bite of sammich. I even used my fork to sweep up every bit that escaped the confines of the bun. I think Foggy's needs a sign or indication to folks driving by on Sundays that the French Dip special is available. It would be enough for me to pull over and pick it up, even if I had just eaten (because carry-out!). Foggy's, thank you for the awesome lunch stop!

We had reservations for 15. They accommodated our group and the waitress was very attentive and all orders were correct. The food came out hot but was delayed slightly as the place was busy. They are in need of a bar- but the food makes up for it. Plenty of room inside for big groups. Always awesome to watch the grilled meats right in the main area.

We prefer bar service over dining service, seem to be generally more attentive and the two staff work as a team. Brandon is waiting on us. He's friendly and good at customer service. Ordered the whitefish dip, baba Ghanouj, superior whitefish tater tots, tabouli salad, superior whitefish chowder, superior whitefish tacos with black pepper fries and a spicy crispy chicken sandwich and cabbage slaw. $111 They do charge a 4% transparency fund: employee retention, living wages, staff happiness. Written on the bottom of your bill. The dishes are scratch made, in house. Nice! The tabouli is too, has some mixed greens in it. There is something sweet in the dressing or the buckwheat, not my thing at all. Rest of the salad is good though. The baba ghanouj on its own is quite garlicky, slight Smokey flavor to it. It doesn't work with the pita crackers. Not loving this at all. The whitish dip is good. My hubby liked the sweet pickled for watermelon rind garnish, I didn't like them much. The spicy chicken sandwich on the brioche bun is really good. The chicken is super crispy. It's quite good. The whitish tacos are good. The whitefish seems to be blackened, really nicely. The fish is light and perfectly cooked. The whitefish chowder is so good! The tater tots are so delicious. No slouch here. Crunchy and so yummy! Food was so unique and quiet food. The side pepper fries are and slaw ate both a bit blah, compared to the majority of our flavorful meals Service is top notch.

However, I can tell you about The Food, Respect Toward COVID, and their Work Ethic. The Food -- we ordered Deep Fried Pickles, which are hands-down the best fried pickles we've ever had (and we like fried pickles). They were spicy, but not too spicy. It tasted like the pickle itself was spicy and the panko had its own, unique seasoning. I wish they served those as a side dish to the sandwich instead of the fries! I ordered the "Wheaty's Wings" which claim to come with '7 Mammoth wings with every order' and they were some huge wings-- this is a real meal! I ordered plain wings and they were crispy and juicy and hot. Excellent! My husband ordered the Cordon Bleu Sandwich which has a juicy, seasoned chicken beast with Swiss and ham -- think chicken cordon bleu meets hoggie! He woofed that down! We ordered fries with the sandwich for a couple dollars more and they were okay... definitely not the same level of culinary skill as the rest of the food we ordered, we had to add lots of salt (Which is good that they don't load them with salt for people who can't tolerate that) and they still weren't so great. Respect Toward COVID -- Masks are required in order to enter this bar and she's serious! When you walk in, she sanitizes a table for you right there. She is constantly washing her hands and wearing a mask. As I watched her, I saw her touch her face about 3 times and each time she cleaned her hands in some fashion. She sanitizes bar stools, the bar -- she's on top of this. The chef is washing her hands and wearing a mask. There are only 2 women running the whole place and while they're doing all of their work, they're also constantly sanitizing. When people come in off the street and there's no where for them to sit, she gives them the option to sit on patio where they won't get food or drink service, but they can wait and she'll come and get them when a table is free or they can purchase a drink and sit and drink it outside. The tables are spaced more than 6 feet apart and the whole bar can maybe seat 30 max. Work Ethic -- there are 2 women running this VERY busy bar. The Front House Manager and the Chef. They're taking to-go orders and bussing tables and refilling drinks and sanitizing and washing their hands and reminding people to wear masks and every few minutes someone comes in off the street and wants to know when they can get a table. And they're doing it flawlessly! We were there around 9:30pm on a Saturday, so I imagine it was a long day of doing that constantly, but both women were exceptionally polite and answered questions and payed close attention to guests and we never had to wait longer than a few minutes for anything. Support Yooper-ran businesses, support small business, and get the fried pickles!

It doesn't feel like a hotel restaurant inside, but service can be slow. The bartender took great care of us as did the expediter. Both were friendly, helpful and spent a moment chatting despite being busy. Our server, on the other hand, acted confused and overwhelmed. She was dressed more like a greeter/hostess, so maybe she really was out of her element? The food is yummy and the portions are super generous. The fries were a wedge-spiral hybrid, different than the usual. There was a great special on $4 margaritas which Smokin'Hubster enjoyed thoroughly. She basically made me feel as if I didn't know what I was ordering and I was truly unsure of what I would be picking up. Upon pick up I was directed to the back counter where I stood waiting for someone to acknowledge me even though there were three team members in the immediate area. Once acknowledged I stated I was there to pick up a TJ Taxi with no cheese and fries. This was repeated to the kitchen and I waited about 5minutes more before given my food. They did honor the 10% discount the hotel mentioned so that was nice. The wrap was decent but not what I was expecting so I'm not really sure what I received.
