Great place for pizza in town. We came on a Sunday night just after 6PM and the place was pretty busy (but got even busier after we ordered). You order at the counter and they make it right in front of you (think Chipotle) and pop it in the oven and before you know it - it's ready to eat. They do not serve alcohol, but they said I could BYOB which I gladly did from By George Brewing across the street (very convenient). They have a large patio outside that works great when the weather is nice (which it was this evening). My bride did a BYO ($19) and I did the Buffalo Chicken ($17) and we both really enjoyed the pizza...toppings were fresh and the crust was amazing. Great pizza and a fun little setup! We stopped here over Labor Day weekend, and it was packed! We had actually tried calling ahead to place an order, but no one answered, so we decided to just stop in. Even with how busy they were, our pizza didn't take long at all. The coolest part is watching them make your pizza right in front of you, basically Subway-style, but with pizza. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, plus games to play, which gives the place a really fun, relaxed atmosphere. And most importantly, the pizza tasted really good! Absolutely hands down, THE BEST PIZZA in Munising, Pictured Rocks Pizza came highly recommended by family members. You can actually order just about anything you want. They have it all laid out in front of you when you get to the counter. We ended up getting a "Miner's Beach" with fresh mozzarella, along with pepperoni, Italian sausage, along with ham & pineapple. It was phenomenal. We also added a side salad which was big enough to share for two. They have plenty of outside eating with cornhole and other yard games for the family. This was easily our best meal in Munising. The Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza was absolutely delicious, and the Meat Pie pizza was even good when reheated the next day. We were looking for a simple dinner and after reading a lot of reviews we decided that this pizza place was our best choice in a town of restaurants with mediocre reviews. It was a Saturday night so the town and this restaurant were busy. Unfortunately they only have four indoor tables and the weather outside was very cold and windy for the end of May so their large patio was of no use. It was so cold they had a crew covering their extensive collection of plants for the predicted overnight frost. Given that we got the pizza and salad to go. Also they don't serve beer and we had beer back in our hotel room. We opted for their double cheese and pepperoni pizza which was a bit small for the price but then again we were in a tourist town. This is a cute stop while in Munising. We did the pictured rocks cruise and came around 4:30. It wasn't super busy but there was a bunch of people in and out talking carry out. You order and pay inside and then can go outside and sit under their pavilion. Our daughter loved the corn hole, connect four, and porch swing outside. Gave her something to do after eating. We ordered her a cheese pizza. Simple, but really good! Sauce was flavorful and they were VERY generous with the cheese! The pizza arugula is a great idea, but we felt it was lacking a bit in flavor. The garlic cream sauce wasn't super flavorful, but the prosciutto and arugula carried the weight of the pizza in regard to flavor. The sweetie drops were a great addition, I just wish there were more. We were very impressed at how fast the kitchen works, and everyone was very friendly. The abysmal options has somehow made this one of the better places in town and it really wasn't that good. We shared a picture rocks special with a salad and Parmesan bread. The Parmesan bread was a 0/10, it was a mini loaf of bread with fake parmesan sprinkled on top, the salad was at best a 2/10its only redeeming quality was that it wasn't iceberg, the pizza was 6/10. It's mostly outdoor seating as there are only 4 tables inside and the air conditioner was struggling to keep up. We learned pretty quickly that the food scene in Munising was pretty dismal. However Pictured Rocks Pizza was the exception! The restaurant is a fast casual concept- you order at the counter then find a spot in the cute front yard area. The staff were helpful and our pizzas came out quick. I couldn't believe how fresh their ingredients tasted. One of the best veggie pizzas I've had! We also liked the PR special and a cheese and pineapple pizza for the picky eater in our group- and yes even she was happy! Best place we ate in Munising. The staff was professional and quick to assist and friendly. The food came out quickly also and was delicious. Manager came over and asked how things were. This was my second time to Pictured Rocks Pizza and our experience was even better the second time. This is a very casual dine-in pizza place that is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner before or after your Pictured Rocks Cruise. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, with the outdoor seating having a covered area and a small playground for young kids. This is a counter-serve type of establishment, so there is no waiting for a hostess to seat you, or a server to take your order or to collect payment. Ordering is simple...you can order one of their specialty pizzas or build your own. If you elect to build your own, it starts at $11, with each topping adding $1.50 to the total. Your first decision is whether you want Old World style or NY style, with Old World style being cheese on the bottom and sauce on top and NY style being the opposite. Your next choice is toppings, of which they have and expansive list to choose from including tomato bruschetta, prosciutto, or even artichoke hearts). You then take your seat, they assemble your pizza, throw it into their wood fired oven, and 3 minutes later, you have your pizza! We chose a simple pizza, Old World Style with sausage - Total cost - $12.50. From the time of payment to the time the pizza was at our table only 6 minutes had elapsed. Visually, the pizza looked like it could be used on a commercial. As for the quality of the pizza, it was superb. The crust was light, crispy, and browned. The sauce was fresh, lightly seasoned, and applied at the perfect proportion. The cheese was fresh mozzarella, also in the perfect proportion, and the sausage was spicy, not greasy, and plentiful.
