Buisquites used to be light and fluffy, Now they are flare tasteless holy pucks. # Pancakes were light and fluffy, now they are flat and tasteless. # They close off half of their resteraunt before closing, and they make excuses not to serve people, that are obviously made up. The current manager is on the face marginally cordial, but the go away attitude is glaringly aparrent. # They serve food cold. # The gravy used to taste like made from scratch, but lately it tastes like paste, lukewarm warm or cold paste. # The wait staff is still great, but the rest is sad. # My family used to love going there, but lately the place is worse than McDonalds. read more

Great brunch experience! Service is quick and very attentive. We had Melissa as our waitress. The coffee kept coming. Enough variety of creamers at the table. Food was delicious. I'm a little surprised by the extremely high rating. The quality of food just wasn't great for us. Chicken fried steak was a little burned. Hash browns needed salt. Bacon was thin and weird. Sliced tomatoes are a side, so I expect really quality tomatoes but they were not. Service was great! Front of the house person was crushing it and juggling the register and sitting people. From the get, the young lady at the front looked miserable doing her job. She looked like she did not want to be there and It threw my friend and me off quickly. We received our table and got walked by our waiter, the food was great, as it was more than expected as the portions were pretty decent! Throughout our brunch, we did feel started and it made us uncomfortable. But when we had an issue with anything our waiter was always on top of it. Toward the end, because of where we were seated we had a clear view of the bathroom and the place began to smell. When you don't know if you want an omelette or biscuits and gravy and you discover you can have both in one dish!! The omelette literally was stuffed with a delicious biscuit with gravy. I don't even know how they did it because it was soooo delicious. The prices were affordable, service was great. Staff continuously checked on us and asked if we needed anything. I have been to Eggsquisite Cafe for New Year's Eve with three other friends. The ambiance is close to most brunch places, perfect for a relaxed weekend morning. Justin helped us with our order and he took good care of us. I ordered Spicy Cajun Chicken and Waffles with Truffle Fries. The waffles were the highlight--crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served in generous portions that are definitely worth the price. A must-visit for waffle lovers! read more

Food was fine but the yelp waitlist is completely misleading and pointless. Don't even bother joining. I joined the waitlist and it said I was 3rd in line, but when I walked in I was pushed to 9th. When I asked the host, I was told it's because I wasn't "checked in". So then what is the point of the yelp waitlist? Why even have it? I never got a text saying I needed to check in. I really hate leaving reviews like this but seriously this system makes no sense. It seems like the yelp waitlist is just for their internal tracking, and if so, why not just turn off the ability for people to join the yelp waitlist online if you're not going to adhere to it. Or send out the normal text saying "you need to check in with the host". It's really not that hard to use a waitlist system correctly. This baffling inefficiency really just ruined the overall experience. read more

Superb waiter and everyone is very nice and friendly. Jerry is just out of this world with how attentive he was for our table and the speed of delivery. The food is also always very very good especially the banana Nutella crepes and cinnamon roll pancakes. Recommend for best place to dine in for breakfast in McKinney maybe the world. read more

I ordered the chicken fried steak with two eggs over easy and hash browns. Everything was cooked perfectly but the reason I'm only giving 4 stars is the gravy and steak had absolutely no flavor. Our waitress was brand new and struggled taking our order but everything came out perfect and she did a great job. We came on a Sunday and was fairly busy but we only waited about 5 minutes before getting seated and food came out fairly quickly. We'll definitely be back to try others thing on the menu. read more

I was served moldy fruit on the very berry pancakes with stuff mascarpone alongside a Santa Fe scramble served with nearly raw bell peppers. I've visited Eggquisite cafes over the past few years, I very much enjoy their food and their service. Today I had the breakfast burrito with chorizo, a juice, a milk, and a side slice of French toast. I remember the breakfast burrito having more eggs and less potatoes, I'm not a fan of burritos that load up on rice, beans, or potatoes. As usual it had a great flavor, but it just had too many potatoes in it. The side french toast slice was delicious, definitely love their French toast here. I'm getting a little uptight about orange juice at restaurants lately, as you can see from the picture the orange juice is what I would consider a shot glass, but it's still $4.59. It is fresh squeezed, I understand, and I also understand they want to be able to offer fresh squeezed orange juice and still make a margin, but it's too expensive for the size. They were extremely busy, yet I had excellent service, I honestly don't know how waitresses remember all that they have to do, especially when it's packed like this. Came here on a Saturday. Made a reservation for 2 on Google and was seated shortly after we arrived and checked in with the front. We got a Steak and eggs with potato o' Brien and hash brown, a Chorizo Benedict with hash brown, an Avocado toast and Fresh squeezed OJ. The food was great. Avocado toast had a generous amount of avocado, and the fruit was indeed fresh. The steak was cooked to medium as I requested and tasted delicious. Paired pretty well with the hot sauce. Went to this place for the first time on Sunday. It was later in the day, so while the place was full I did not wait for a table. There is a lot of grey and white in the interior which some people may not like, but I loved it. I was quickly greeted by my server and she made several recommendations for me to try. I went with the hot chicken and biscuit and an iced latte. Everything was very good. Could I make a couple quips here and there? Of course I could, but overall the service was fast and friendly, the food was very good and very filling and it was clean. I would return. read more

Everything we had was delicious, from the hash browns that my husband always orders extra-crispy to the tomato slices (very fresh and ripe yet firm). I think my husband and I ordered the same thing ... just packaged differently. He had the Cowboy omelet and I had the Meat Lovers skillet. Both had ham, bacon, and sausage with Monterrey and cheddar cheese, but his was "wrapped" in an egg omelet and mine was topped by my eggs. He had hash browns in the side and mine served as the base for my skillet. His side salad was a good one. Simple, no-fuss, American classic breakfast joint. It can get pretty busy on weekends, so be prepared for a wait time if you go then. The restaurant is clean, service is pretty good, and always bustling with families enjoying breakfast together. I've had the pancake combo, which was just as expected, classically delicious. I had the cowboy omelet, hash browns, pancakes and a side of corn beef hash. I love that the pancakes were perfectly sized for the meal and the corn beef hash reminded me of what I used to eat as a kid. First time back since COVID started, and it was just as amazing as before! Everyone was following protocol, and some booths/tables were blocked off to adhere to the state requirements. The owner and wait staff worked their tails off as quickly as possible to minimize wait times and still provide excellent customer service. That's one of the main reasons for going besides the excellent food - you can see how much they care about their customers and business overall! We waited about 30 minutes at 11am on a Saturday. The owner was running in and out calling for tables and adding people to the list as they arrived versus making them go inside and wait to be added to the list. The pumpkin pancakes are SO worth it. The kitchen staff member who brought them out asked if I wanted whip cream as it makes them much better. She was right! Also, the whip cream was thick and tasty (not Reddi Whip style). The veggie omelet was filling and felt healthier (even with the hash-browns, haha). The Oreo pancakes are delicious, but VERY rich. We could only eat a few bites with everything else. I ordered a to-go coffee, and it came in a nice size. They provide an ample amount of flavored creamers. One of our favorite breakfast restaurants ever! read more
