Been here twice (different locations each time) and had similar experiences at both. Service was okay both times. Likes: latte, and water Dislikes: homefries taste like they are not cooked thoroughly. Fruit cup was $2.99 upcharge and it was a small sauce cup and didn't look good. I have been going to the Ridgefield location for over a year. It started out great, but over the last 4 months it has steadily been going down starting with the amount of food in each serving being less, then using a smaller bowl, with again even less food, shredded cheese for example (as little as a level tablespoon). Today I went in around eleven and it even looked different. Has it changed owners? I was alone (party of 1). At first, I seemed to be ignored. Then I was told to go sit at the bar. This would be a little difficult as I have a cain and some physical problems. I asked for a booth and was told the bar or nothing. I left. As I have been a regular customer and have been going for well over a year. Today, which was totally different, has been great for me and all the other customers as well. As today was Sunday and they were a little busy it still is not good customer service. My family and I will not be going back. read more

Another first. Arrived and was told there was a 45 min wait, waited 15 and was seated. After a quick request to wipe out the seat, Jenn C. our server greeted us pleasantly. The grand classic and the little waffle in the henhouse were ordered. A very good value for the amount of food. I'll agree with a past review on the potatoes needing a little help but as I've never been a fan of grits, these were the best I ever remembered tasting. The coffee was good and hot. Easily my new favorite breakfast spot in Henrico! We came in around 10am. Thr place was busy but we were immediately seated. The kitchen was backed up. Had to wait for our food for close to 30 minutes. Weird for a diner, but so what. Food was worth the wait! This diner specializes in cooking eggs the right way (hence the diner name). Hubby got the corn beef hash, I got a loaded home fries bowl with a pancake on the side. OMG. So good, so fresh, so full of flavor. Cute fruit cups too! So glad he brought me. When we arrived right on time, I walked in and the hostess was telling another person waiting that people call and book for large parties and then don't show up and don't call back to cancel, which is a waste of their time. When she was done venting she asked me my name and I indicated I called and was the party of 12. She looked like a ghost in the face. Only 3 tables at lunch time and food comes out cold and not correct. Mine was cold and all sausage instead of with bacon Sons chicken and waffles did not have spicy honey which makes the meal. He would have chosen different if know the flavor that makes the meal is out of stock. Service very uncaring and oblivious to customer needs. Manager/owner explained why items cold but unapologetic. Been there a few times and nothing gets any better. Not going again. Plenty of tables and booths are in good condition and clean but very lack luster in appearance and ambiance. read more

I have been going into this particular location since they first opened. Sadly this last visit on Memorial Day 2023 with my daughter was one of the worst. We both ordered the Three Little Deuces. Hers with chocolate chips in the pancakes and mine with bananas. I ordered a coffee and her a sweet tea. The waitress came back saying they were out of bananas would I like something else in the pancakes. Ended up picking blueberries. Within seconds our orders were out. the blueberries were just on top of the pancakes. My daughters chocolate chips were just dropped on top of hers. Look this is not normally a big deal. I didn't even say anything at first. But asking for something inside a pancake is to make the pancakes a certain way. Our waitress never came back to ask us how the meal was or to refill our drinks till we were completely done. At that point I was a bit miffed. No refills and the pancakes were wrong. I then informed her the food was good but when we asked for stuff in the pancakes that is what we wanted. Her response was she saw it but didnt think it would be a problem. Again I feel this was a little thing but previous experiences with other servers there were much better and a simple "I am sorry I can redo this if you want" would have gone a long way. I would have said no its okay mistakes happen. Sadly over the last few months MORE AND MORE mistakes are happening here. As my daughter said 10 out 10 time to find a new breakfast spot. read more

So I went into this place this morning for breakfast. There was only three tables full and two waitresses. My waitress came over and gave me a menu and asked if I like coffee or something in a drink which is fine. and she was not within three minutes of bringing a coffee when she asked if I'm ready to order and I said no, give me a moment. Then I seem to wait forever for her to come back and check if I made an order. I ordered the veggie omelette with cheese cheddar. I got my order and she left. I started eating and realized they did not put cheese on it. she never came back to check to see how I was doing or ask if the food was any good. I had the flagger down to get a drink of water and the only thing I liked was the hashbrowns. if there's only three tables full and two waitresses it is very, very, very poor service. So glad I discovered this place (thank you to RVA Dine & Drink post on FB) as we need some new breakfast spots in the west end! This is a nice and clean, sunny spot located in the plaza with Publix and the John Rolfe Y. Service was fast, and as I dined alone (not my fave things to do) was pleasantly surprised to see other solo diners - several - at the counter where I sat as well. A wide assortment of breakfast offerings including omelets, breakfast bowls, avocado toast. Focus is on eggs of course. There's a signature corned beef hash. I had to try it. It was nice! I am more a shredded hashbrown person than home fries, but these were delectable! I actually would go out of my way for them. They were not hard and crusty on the outside like some tend to be which results in a dry potato. Instead, these were moist and lovely. Coffee was not stellar, and for those seeking the whole "brunch" situation (aka mimosas, bloody mary and such), there is only a mimosa and that's it. However, it is a really good breakfast and oftentimes other places around here have a ridiculous wait for the same food. I'll be back! read more
