Delicious breakfast! One of my local friends told me to check this place out when I was in town and man it was well worth the drive over from my hotel. Parking was a breeze! Given how busy Eggs 'n Things always looks and how the wait is almost exorbitantly long (quoted 40 mins for a party of four at 10am and we weren't able to get seated until about 75 mins later), I had high hopes for what would be amazing food. Unfortunately, the food failed to impress me. I had the malasada pancake special, which were tasty, but not so much to offset the price and how long we had to wait. The location is very convenient, as they are located very close to Waikiki beach and are off of Kalakaua Ave where a majority of the tourist hotels are located. My recommendation is to try going to one of the many other restaurants that are located a bit out from the beach -- you'll likely find better prices and tastier food. read more

Despite having an empty seat at our table, the manager refused to let our friend sit with us, claiming it was "policy" since the rest of the table was already seated. No proper explanation was given, just a dismissive response about "policy." Now there's an empty seat at our table that couldn't be used by anyone else, and our group's breakfast was completely ruined. I LOVE this place! I've been coming here almost every time I visit Oahu since 2013. I bring family and coworkers to experience the eggsellence. Sometimes you have to wait a little because the upstairs dining area is nearly always full, and always full of joy and aloha atmosphere. It is always worth the wait. There's nothing on the menu I wouldn't devour joyfully, but the Hawaiian Loco Moco holds a very special place in my heart and stomach. The Kona coffee they serve is excellent hot or cold. Long wait but it's worth it! My hubby found this spot on Yelp and was insistent on trying it. We arrived around 9:30 and was told that the wait was at least an hour - when I saw the Hawaiian bread French toast on the menu I decided that the hour was worth the wait (lol). There is a park across the street from the restaurant so we strolled through it to kill time and then walked down a little past the park then made our way back, when we returned we waited a few more mins and were seated shortly after. I ordered an Açaí bowl and the original Hawaiian French toast with turkey bacon. My food was really good! I indulged in the açaí bowl and the French toast was pretty good but a tad more sweet than I expected; the turkey bacon was just ok - I could've been cooked a tiny bit harder for crispness. My hubby cleaned his plate before I could taste his food :-/ He ordered eggs, home fries, turkey bacon and a waffle. My recommendation to those who order the Hawaiian French toast, if you are not heavy in sweets, go light on the syrup - I poured it before I actually tasted the French toast and it may not have needed it or perhaps it didn't need as much as I poured. Highly recommended by our friends, I decided to check this place out for a breakfast diner experience for our last day. We waited a little over 30 minutes for a table of 4 during breakfast times. Not for the hangry. Luckily, I was able to choose my dish in that time span, and got the Eggs Benedict n' Things ($14.95). I chose the Florentine, which came with Spinach, Mushroom, and Tomato with my chosen side of buttermilk pancakes. The watery sour tomatoes didn't match the rest of the Egg Benedict palette to me. Other than that, everything else was scrumptious! I enjoyed the abundant mushrooms and spinach stuffed in! When you're surrounded by mainly meaty Hawaiian food, this slightest bit of veggie intake was much appreciated! And best of all, their portions were huge that I felt too full for the pancakes. The pancakes were standard, although the tart guava syrup made them fun to eat! I thought I'd try the POG Blend ($5.95) for a signature here in Hawaii, which consisted of Pineapple, Orange, and Guava. All I could taste was pineapple, as it was mostly sour. I would pass on this. Good morning, fellow Yelpers! It's ya favorite critic again with another Astonishing find, while on vacation here in Honolulu, HI, called Eggs 'N Things, and I can't bragg about it enough!!! You arrive at what looks like a souvenir shop, with a host, who's not really a host, but explains about the kiosk and reservation process. You input your info and wait for a text to add you to the list. Once added, you wait for another text to let you know, you're table is ready. Once the second text arrives, you walk around to the side of the building, and take the steps to the second floor where the restaurant is "really" located.... Extensive menu were placed in front of us, and we gazed for what seemed like forever trying to decide on what to go with. (OH!, did I mention today: March 6, 2024 is my birthday!) I went with the fruit pancakes, and my wife went with the Ahi, eggs, and pancakes. The vibe was breakfastsy, lol. People were engaged in converstaion, people were eating, people were placing orders, it was great! Whether you're in Hawaii for business or pleasure, this is one of those "Must Go To" Spots, I mention so often! I would invite ANYONE to go at least once. I muself would return again, and again.
