On the weekends the wait in a little long, so don't go starving and impatient, it is definitely worth the wait. We try and go at least once every time we visit. So nice, we went twice (back to back days)! We got the pancake sampler and a burrito with Portuguese sausage the first day and banana pancakes + corned beef hash and eggs the next day. Instead of potatoes, I got a short stack of pancakes and added bananas. Word of advice, it's too much, so if you're going with someone and sharing, just get the potatoes or rice. This restaurant was hands down one of my favorite spots to eat during my time on the island. I ate here 3x (twice alone and another time I took my colleagues and they agreed it was good and some of them are picky eaters). Patrons eat on the upstairs portion of the building but you have to check in downstairs first. The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious. The first time I got the sweet Hawaiian roll French toast with strawberries, the second time I got the chicken and waffles, my final visit I got the French toast again but with pineapples. At all three occurrences the food was delicious and they have this coconut syrup which is bomb! There can be a bit of a wait but it's worth it. Also there are little birdies that linger around but they know not to bother you until you leave the table. Once you leave, those birds know you're done and the food is there's for the taking until the staff cleans up. Also, if you use a credit card, there is a 3% processing fee so it may be good to pay with cash. read more

Given how busy Eggs 'n Things always looks and how the wait is almost exorbitantly long (quoted 40 mins for a party of four at 10am and we weren't able to get seated until about 75 mins later), I had high hopes for what would be amazing food. Unfortunately, the food failed to impress me. I had the malasada pancake special, which were tasty, but not so much to offset the price and how long we had to wait. The location is very convenient, as they are located very close to Waikiki beach and are off of Kalakaua Ave where a majority of the tourist hotels are located. My recommendation is to try going to one of the many other restaurants that are located a bit out from the beach -- you'll likely find better prices and tastier food. read more

Lovely spot on the beach but this place is definitely overrated. My short ribs were basically jerky and I got a tiny thing of kimchi for $20. Make sure to be specific about wanting a table. I told the host whatever is the quickest and we sat on tiny wood stools at a bar like counter. It was fine for us, but I wouldn't suggest it if you're larger or need back support. The crab cake Benedict was good but nothing amazing. I was recently in Waikiki and my goal the whole trip was to not eat resort food, so I researched the best breakfast near the Hilton village, and found this place. So I'll start with saying that the whole process of getting into a restaurant for food in this area can be quite the wait time so I will be happy to share with our Yelpers that they offer to check you in on yelp. It made it nice so we weren't waiting to eat for hours. I ordered the loco moco with a side of Macadamia nut pancakes. Let me start with the loco moco. It was the best loco moco I had all trip the farm fresh eggs and the beef patty just made it all go together right, and the entree has grilled mushrooms and onions as well. I'm hungry thinking about it... Then to follow the entree up with the best pancakes on Oahu! I mean these things were so fluffy and never got soggy throughout the process of me eating them.
