Fresh Line-Caught Ahi and Eggs

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Waikiki! Definitely put yourself on the waitlist on Yelp asap as it can get busy. Thankfully as I was myself, I was able to sit on the counter. The options are endless and the service is with true aloha. What better way to spend the morning in Waikīkī with the nearby ocean breeze, delicious food, and service with a smile.

This is a must every time we come to Honolulu!! The food is delicious no matter what you get-- sweet or savory. Plenty of options to choose from. Waiters and waitresses are so kind and personable. If you join the waitlist on yelp, it's very easy to get in and get out because their service is very quick. Cute little building too with all seating upstairs. Little birds come by and chirp near the tables on the patio, so cute!! Definitely a must if you're looking for a unique and delicious breakfast

Breakfast food is delicious!!! Staff friendly. Ordered French toast and pancakes. Serving size is huge worth to share. However, you need to be really early cause long wait if you're not there prior to doors opening. Worth the place to have bfast in Waikiki.

After hearing and seeing all the hype , the girls decided we will give this famous breakfast spot a try. We first went to another location closer to the resort and the host was so rude , we walked away and found this location on Yelp. I was able to use Yelp to get on the waitlist which helped shaved 29 mins off ( thankssss) Everyone at this location was friendly and engaging. I loved that this one was 2 stories with an open balcony . We ordered coffee , teas and brunch and everything was incredibly delicious that we took a to go order as well ! Mahea was our server and was such a good vibe ! We loved her !!! 10/10 all around !

Delicious breakfast, seating for 6 took about 20 mins with the waitlist option on yelp. Two thumbs up for the Island Ahi with fried rice breakfast platter, the trio of pancakes (macadamia nut, coconut, and pineapple) and the rainbow fruit pancakes. Food came out quick!

I don't normally post-this is an exception. Food was served hot, meats were seasoned nicely and cooked to perfection as ordered. Shout out to Aryanna/Stella-excellent service and all needs met. Food served with a smile. Compliments to the chef ‍ Clean dishes, silverware, dishes. I highly recommend and Will definitely return.

Island burger! Really good BBQ sauce.

Great place to stop and get breakfast. We went there early in the morning on Sunday and the only reason they had a line was because they didn't have a ton of servers but the ones that were there did a great job. The prices are reasonable in about $20 per person not including coffee or drinks. The food was great, it's upstairs so you get a nice little view and get to feel the weather. This is my first time going, and I will definitely return.

This location is not my favorite; I prefer Ala Moana, but today they were closed because their power was out. The Saratoga location is smaller and parking is more difficult. I end up having to pay at the post office nearby, and the smallest number of hours you can pay for is 2 hours at over $11, so it's a ridiculous charge for parking in my opinion--and Ala Moana has free parking in their lot. Strike two: there's not only a 3% kitchen surcharge but also a 3% credit card surcharge. Why not just charge more for your food items and then pay the kitchen staff more/give them a raise? Ultimately it would be the same price but I will feel less like I am being nickel-and-dimed. Having multiple surcharges just feels different to me as a customer than paying more for my meal. I guess it's hidden costs versus up-front costs. In any case, you might not know about the kitchen surcharge until you get your receipt to check out. Ultimately, I always enjoy the food at Eggs 'n Things. The fresh fruit rainbow pancakes are some of my favorites, and the waffles are great too. The fruit is fresh and the whipped cream is a huge amount. But when I check out and not only am I paying $21.99 for my pancakes, $17.99 for my partner's waffle, nearly $10 for two coffees, and then 3% for kitchen staff, 3% for credit card surcharge, 4.712% Hawai'i sales tax, and now my meal is near $70, plus the parking next door for $11, a meal out for two people is getting dangerously close to a hundred bucks. I live in Waikiki and there are cheaper places for me to eat that are just as delicious. Eggs 'n Things, I've been coming here for years and I love you, but you are getting close to pricing me out for breakfast at your place.

Unreal! Best loco moco I've had. Their sauce mixed with fresh mushrooms was so good! There's always going to be a wait so prepare for that.

Well, it wasn't the best breakfast I've had but it wasn't bad. Service was a bit slow and waiter seemed a bit disorganized (he forgot about our table at the end so we finally went up to the desk to ask for our bill). Was a bit hot inside but not too bad. Overall next time I'd skip the wait here and explore someplace new to me; there are a lot of breakfast spots in the area.

We have been to the Eggs 'n Things in the Ko Olina location so many times (over the last 3 times we have been to Oahu); this was the first time at this location since we were staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Service: The service was great. Ambiance: The ambiance was nice and clean. Food: We all got our favorites and they were great: * Pancakes with strawberries and blueberries: My younger son and wife shared this and it was delicious...very VERY generous helping of the whipped cream. * Veggie Omelette: You guessed it...I got my old favorite here (with egg whites)...it was OK (I have had better but it was a generous portion!) * Eggs and bacon: My older son got the eggs and bacon and it was tasty (per him) but the portion as you will see from the pic was small. I would recommend this location but we all preferred the Ko Olina location much more. I will give it 4 stars...you should go if you are thinking about it!

Took my parents here for lunch since we haven't tried this location yet. Food: Decent but expected better from such a popular spot. Salmon Benedict was okay, sauce was a bit bland. Using taro bread was a nice touch! Omelette was good. Not too salty. Pancakes were not as fluffy as we would've liked. I've always raved about their coconut syrup. It's so good and definitely elevated the pancakes. Even my picky parents enjoyed it, which says a lot! Service: Our server was friendly & the food came out fairly quickly. We were seated on the 2nd floor on a hot day. Not ideal for open-air seating (no AC). Parking: There's no dedicated lot. They suggested parking at the post office across the street ($10 for 2 hrs); we managed to find a metered spot nearby.

Sorry. Only photo I have. She loved the place too.

This place is excellent. Great staff. Excellent service. And the food is terrific. I travel. A lot. Go to a lot of restaurants. This one is upper level. Relaxed feeling, lovely atmosphere. Go !!!

Ask the Community - Eggs 'n Things Saratoga

Do they still serve mochi waffles, or mochi pancakes?

Yes, we do. At all 4 Oahu locations.

Do they serve oatmeal?

Unfortunately they don’t serve oatmeal. But they do have a great variety of other breakfast options!

Do they still have gluten-free waffles? Somebody wrote a review about their gluten-free waffles? And does anyone know if they serve oatmeal?

Yes to oatmeal no to gluten free

Is all the seating upstairs? What if someone is in a wheelchair?

We have two tables on the first floor designated as ADA seating.

Do they do grubhub or DoorDash?

Yes, they do. As well as other delivery options.

Can you make reservations or is it waitlist/walk-in only?

Waitlist walk-in only! But you can add yourself to the waitlist on yelp to help save time before you get there

Dear Eggs & Things: If you have a reservation do you have to wait in line?…

You may, depending on when you show up and the wait list. As soon as you get there tell them you have a reservation, and they will try to seat you right away but remember there may be others with same reservation. This happened to us but it went…

Where can you park?

There are several options, and none of them are free unless you have a Handicap Parking Card, or your car is an electric vehicle. The post office paid parking is the closest, but isn't cheap. The meter parking on Saratoga is available early or…

Do they have Kamaaina discount?

Not sure. As stingy as they are I doubt they have any discounts.

How they are able to fry this fish without drying it out, allowing juices to just ooze out after breaking through the crisp exterior is mind bending. They know it's good bc when I excitedly ordered a second serving the waitress gave me a knowing wink. This is my new "last bite." Kalbi. Juicy. Well seasoned. Some of the best I've had. You know it's a popular dish when bc when I looked inside the kitchen you just see rows upon rows of ribs hanging ready to be pulled down and thrown on the grill. Lau lau-pork and butterfish steamed in ti leaves, a Hawaiian comfort food. The main reason for this trip was to bring my Mom back to her hometown in Ewa. She commented that she has not found a lau lau to her liking in San Diego so when this was brought to her and she went completely silent and smiling eating it up you know it's good lol. I was very happy Helena's take brought her joy. Kalua pork and cabbage. I can't attest to it bc it was being hoarded on the other side of the table and I was just happy with the butterfish and kalbi as is lol. Poke-Bruh, it's Hawai'i. Haupia-oh goodness. This was the perfect way to finish off the meal. The traditional coconut pudding was refreshing without being overbearingly sweet. Looks like Jello blocks but firm enough to pick up by hand. Outstanding. Service was ridiculously friendly and epitomized the Aloha spirit. This place is a foodies dream stop, serving locals and tourists alike since 1946. This place is a freaking institution!

Hawaiian Moco: opted for the lau lau as suggested with lomi salmon and macaroni salad. For $24.99, it was huge, succulent, flavorful and worth the price point! Smoked Moco: the Kiawe-smoked meat was tender, sautéed with bell peppers and onions and topped with a yummy smoked aioli and local egg. The mini for $16.99 was the perfect portion for me. Fish Tacos: the fish was fresh, cooked perfectly on taro tortillas with chili aioli, avocado mousse, shredded lettuce and lomi salmon. The fries were thick and crispy too.
