My friends who have been to Hawaii prior have talked very highly of this place; however, I thought it was "ok". I ordered the chicken and waffles, the waffle was pretty tasty but i was quite disappointed with the flat, small 2 pieces of chicken. A chicken patty from Walmart would've been better. I made a reservation with yelp at 2 am for 1145 am and still ended up waiting an extra 30 minutes for a table. The seating area itself was sub par with birds flying onto the patio and trash on the ground. read more

Not a bad walk from the Hawaiian Village. Lots to see in the way there. They take your name, then you have to walk up a flight of stairs to be seated. It's a cute spot once up stairs. The service was super fast. I'm a new fan of Portuguese sausage! So good!! read more

Food was INCREDIBLE! Service was terrific - Ryan was great. They have the cutest merch for purchase as well. It's a really fun experience - lovely, old school ambiance. I will stop here anytime we are in Hawaii. read more

I really enjoyed this place for breakfast. We come here every weekend and I am amazed when I look at all the Pancakes and waffles being served. I love their breakfast wrap with jalapeños. My husband gets the loco moco which is delicious and my oldest daughter gets the waffles with strawberries and the youngest loves the potatoes. We live here and go there every weekend. That should say something. You need to pay for parking and you can also put your name on the list thru yelp. read more

Get the mochi waffle. Period. Best waffle I've ever had in my life. The service was very helpful and lovely. Loved this place

Breakfast is the best, good portions great taste never had a bad experience Always a wait but it's worth it read more

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the food was a huge disappointment. Everything on the plate was overly greasy to the point of being unappetizing. The Portuguese sausage in particular was tough and hard to chew--definitely not fresh and far from what it should be. Even the basics didn't taste right because the grease just overwhelmed everything. Honestly the best thing on the menu was the ice water! Service was fine, but it doesn't make up for food that leaves you feeling sick afterward. I won't be coming back read more

Cute place, not a fan of the omelette. It had a rubbery taste . Hubby's ribeye, and eggs under seasoned. Definitely not worth the wait. If you go here, go with the pancakes Nice and fluffy. If you could see the pictures below, you would notice my plate has different potatoes as my neighbors which I found very odd, mine were frozen, and hers were fresh. Mine also were dry and hard. read more

The receptionist of this popular restaurant is great. He made sure that those people waiting in line are informed about their wait. Our breakfast is really good, and looks good, too! (See the photo!) My only slight criticism is our waiter. He seemed so depressed with low energy. It's nor really an issue as he tended to our needs but when you're catering to tourists, you really have to make an effort to put up a "front". I would have given this restaurant a five-star rating but because of the waiter, I can only give four stars. But overall, it's good! read more

Just awful! Waited 45 minutes for a table only to have our entire order arrive incorrect. While our waitress was very nice and could see from the bill that she entered the order correctly, everything came out completely wrong, and there were only two of us! It was as though the kitchen wasn't even paying attention, just trying to turn tables over as quickly as they could. Don't waste your time and go to Lulu's just down the road. read more

Delicious breakfast! One of my local friends told me to check this place out when I was in town and man it was well worth the drive over from my hotel. Parking was a breeze! The food was 10/10, made fresh, and so much flavor. I got the classic eggs Benedict and I'm still dreaming about when I get to return to the island to get it again. The service was wonderful, everyone was super nice and the environment felt like home. I will definitely be back! read more

Ordered the breakfast burrito and my order was wrong three times. I can't make this up. I let my family eat and I decide to go elsewhere. The only reason, I'm giving a star is because my husband and son's food was ok. read more

We didn't make a reservation, but thankfully there was a wait list we were able to join online. Seems to be a shop and the bathroom on the first floor and then the actual restaurant on the second floor. Once we got up there, the server took our order and the food came out quickly! The pancake was huge and very filling, I could only eat 2 before getting full, so I took the rest to go. While it was great for the most part, we felt very rushed. I understand they were very busy but we got our food and then what felt like 10 minutes later, we were asked if we wanted a box and our check already. We had barely even ate our food yet! Nevertheless, I understand they are fast paced and want to get things done quick. Overall, would definitely come back and try some new foods. read more

Amazing food! I will def come back for the food and ambience! Everything came out around the same time and it was all fresh! Here are the food verdicts: Kalbi and eggs (5/5) - tender and juicy kalbi with tasty kimchi! I got my egg over medium and they were perf for the kalbi. I love getting kalbi in HI whenever I can, it is so good here! Hawaiian pancake sampler (5/5) - or should I smack-cular! It includes macadamia nut pancake, pineapple pancake, and coco pancake with a heaping pile of non melting whipped cream, and not to mention super pretty and aesthetic! I wish I could have that every morning, they put fresh pineapples too! Omelette (5/5) - the omelette was pretty bomb not gonna lie! I think my fam added extra stuff like bacon and mushroom, it was a big omelette which satisfied our tastebuds. Crab cake benedict (4/5) - It tasted amazing! My fam does not like very runny egg yolk, but I think it would do good to get over easy eggs (we got over medium for it) if you get the taro bread. There is just too much bread for the benedict, so getting more runny eggs can be good so you can use the taro bread to scoop up the excess runny yolk and enjoy it! My fam left like half a bread bc there was nothing else to eat it with. Overall a 5 star review from me and my family! Would def recommend the kalbi and eggs to anyone! read more

So amazing. My husband and I just spend time in Hawai'i for our honeymoon and we're looking for a fun place for breakfast. We searched up on yelp and this place is highly rated, and definitely for a reason. It tends to be on a wait so check in with yelp to get on the list. Once you're sat, the service and food are amazing. It's inside/outside so you can feel a nice breeze no matter the seat! Just a super great experience so we went twice during our trip. It will also be somewhere we go anytime we visit the area. read more

Food itself was ok, the coffee was not good at all but more than anything this may have been one of the dirtiest places I have eaten, almost causing us to leave before we were seated. This place needs a thorough deep cleaning from the bottom level to the top floor. The staff were ok but not well trained and served my meal over 5 minutes before my pregnant wife's meal. read more

Heard many great things about this place and so my family decided to visit during our vacation. Arrived at 7:20 AM and still had a 15min wait although no one was there. Before seating us, I overheard the employees in the check in area taking very inappropriately about "the food we serve is here is pure garbage, we are giving everyone diabetes" to which I kinda just looked at them surprised they would be so causal about it. Nonetheless, I let that go and we proceeded to order our food, our waitress was monotone and mentioned to us that she's on her last days and can't wait to get out of the place (goes to show how she felt about her employer). The food was mediocre at best and the highlight was the Mac nut pancakes, other than that, marginal with items that you could easily order at zippys with better service and lower prices. All that being said the ultimate disappointment was when I had to go use the restroom which looked like no one had ever cleaned it, my pregnant wife literally threw up because of how absolutely disgusting it was. Pics posted show their "better" bathroom but the other one was twice as bad. Definitely worth reporting to the health department. Soap was not available so it makes you wonder how staff washed their hands... Needless to say, I will NEVER return to this overrated nasty place! read more

The food was good but the hostess was so rude and condescending. Would never come here again solely because of her.

Still one of Best Breakfast to go for early risers Use to live on Hobron Lane Condos use to go one and only Original Eggs n Things on Ena Road since '70s opened at 4am closed after lunch very small crampy but cozy your eggs always came out just right if you got up late after 6 am you needed to stand in line outside since there were only six tables now there's three new locations expanded. . . I have been to one on Piikoi easiest to get to with very ample parking one on Saratoga not so ample parking one on Waikiki have never got to unless you go touristing down Kalakaua lol Anyway you can never go wrong ordering eggs from Eggs n Thing Anytime Anyplace Anywhere read more

Flew from California to Waikiki to check out Eggs N' Things - this place was highly recommended so had to check out the Waikiki location . We waited 40 minutes for breakfast - had the Blackened Ahi which was cold, the Hawaiian fried with eggs were good and pancakes were to die for! The place was so busy our food weren't served together we didn't receive one of the main entrée until we were done eating. Overall, the food was good but disappointed with service. read more

Eggs 'n Things Saratoga - Hawaiian Loco Moco Smoked Salmon Benedict - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Our group had a terrible experience at Eggs and Things. When we were seated for breakfast, one of our friends was walking over to join us. Despite having an empty seat at our table, the manager refused to let our friend sit with us, claiming it was "policy" since the rest of the table was already seated. No proper explanation was given, just a dismissive response about "policy." Now there's an empty seat at our table that couldn't be used by anyone else, and our group's breakfast was completely ruined. The lack of flexibility and poor customer service left a bad taste in our mouths--unacceptable for a hospitality-focused business. Would not recommend. read more

Everything about this place was amazing. The staff here is so welcoming it's uncanny and they are so prompt. Even with how packed and crowded the restaurant gets they are all so hard working and friendly. The inside of the restaurant has a decent amount of seating, but if you don't have a reservation there can be a bit of a wait time. The food here is outstanding. Spam and eggs & the kalbi and eggs were our favorite items. It was so simple but delicious. The island fried rice and the kalua pig benedict were pretty good as well. read more

Horrible service.. extra charges for everything! Avoid this place! Food was just mediocre..

The best place in all of Honolulu for breakfast! Loco moco, pork chop with grilled pineapple and rice, OMG! All of it! The pancakes looked AMAZING! But the best part of all was my waitress Lily. The sweetest young lady I've ever met. She's a kind, attentive, lovely angel who does her job very well! If you're lucky enough to have Lily wait on you, be sure to tip her generously. She deserves it! Thank you, Lily! read more

Definitely suggest getting here before opening or at least putting your name on the waitlist at 7AM. My boyfriend and I were doing a staycation in Waikiki and we walked from our hotel to here. I placed my name on the Yelp waitlist and we only had to wait 10 minutes after checking in with the host to be seated. Not sure if it was just us but the floors felt a bit slippery so please be careful when you're walking around! Our meals were okay - nothing special but eggs n things is a classic place if you were born and raised on island. My boyfriend is from the mainland and really liked the Kalbi, I found that I had to really chew into it and it took some effort haha. Whether you're visiting or just don't want to cook, eggs n things is affordable and not too bad. read more

This place was right around the corner from our hotel and we heard great things from the manager at the front desk so we gave it a shot. It was a super cute little place and it does get busy really fast so we were lucky when we got there around 9am. The only downfall? The intense sugar rush from getting a Macadamia nut waffle topped with the same amount of whip cream used in Varsity Blues. It probably didn't help I washed it down with a glass of fresh POG juice but I have no regrets. PS- The Guava syrup is a must read more
