We did as suggested and went ahead and checked in on yelp before getting there. We still had about a 10-15 minute wait so I do recommend planning about 30 minutes in advance. My fiancé tore his eggs Benedict up- and said he loves traditional eggs Benedict but this was different and the best rendition he's ever had. The strawberry pancakes were very good but were a little pricey. Make sure you say if you want the macadamia nut on the whip cream in case of allergy- I didn't know it came. We enjoyed the place as it was beachy, friendly and quick. All you can ask for in a breakfast restaurant on vacation! read more

Yummy aloha breakfast that won't break the bank. The kids loved the pancakes (we did too - didn't even use the syrups). Fried rice was legit (for those raised with an Asian parent, you know what I mean) Service was friendly and just the right amount of attention. Great options for everyone. read more

Good, service, and our amazing waitress, Stella made our breakfast experience wonderful!

My family and I ate here a couple days ago and we knew that there was going to be a wait which we didn't mind. What was the issue is that as soon as we got seated, our server was very blunt and we didn't even get water into 10 minutes of sitting down. We also waited around 30 minutes for the food to come out and one of the plates was still missing the side. It took an additional 15 minutes just for them to bring a side of hash browns out. We never got refills on our water as well during our time eating here. The table next to us complained to the same server because they were having issues with their plate and it didn't come out as they ordered it and the server said they cook it a certain way. Gave off a vibe of "the customer is wrong". Due to the issues, when we got our check we decided to ask for the manager. When our server said she was the manager we were stunned. As a "manager" she was very blunt, rude, and disrespectful when we brought up the issues we had with our service. She proceeded to yank the check out of my hand and said " I'll comp the bill but not all of it", very rudely. Also, when she returned and my wife told her she didn't like the service here, she got near my wife's face with an aggressive attitude. Overall, this "manager" caused a whole scene and was very passive aggressive from the start and showed that to other tables as well. We will never come back to here again. read more

Kent makes it a 5! Food selection and quality are good, service is great, and the views are outstanding, but what truly makes this place a 5 is Kent (our server). He's joyful and very positive. If you're lucky he'll be your server. You'll leave full and smiling! read more

Amazing food, great portions - the whipped cream is killer. Pineapple is great. Have been here and Waikiki location and both great.

Stopped in for breakfast because I had to try Loco Moco while in Hawaii. This place had history, so I gave them a shot. The wait time was only 10 minutes for a seat or to take out to go. I opted to take mine to go and eat on a bench out in front of the restaurant. The food was good and hearty as expected, but it was very fresh and hot the spot since I was hungry. The restaurant had lots of items in their small store front. I purchased a hat at around $25. It was worth it. When your in Waikiki, hit up Eggs and Things, a hearty quick stop. read more

Eggs 'n Things is a locally owned business that has been serving Hawaiians and tourists alike for more than 40 years and they have the reviews to back up their success. We have been to Eggs 'n Things twice while in Waikiki and both times the service and food was very good. It's important that you get in the waitlist early because it can take up to 2 hours to be seated. I was able to get on the waitlist through the Yelp app and it saved a lot of time. The menu is very diverse and has many well know breakfast items that you'd expect and some surprises. Our waitress was timely, professional and courteous. She was patient with us and made some great recommendations for us to try. The portions sizes are great for the price you pay and in Waikiki, it's hard to find a bargain breakfast or any meal that's affordable. The ambiance is very casual, average noise level and comfortable. The dining room is small and that's one of the reasons why the wait time can be extremely long. I have to agree with other Yelp reviewers that this is a great spot for great food. I highly recommend this location. Aloha‼ read more

I wanted to try Eggs 'n Things the first time I went to Honolulu but it wasn't in the cards. However, I made sure that I went the next time I was in Oahu. I tried to go to the Waikiki location but it was packed. Luckily, this location was a short 15 minute walk away. I only had to wait 10 minutes after my walk. I was glad to be able to get in with little wait because I joined the waitlist on Yelp. I was in for a treat because I came in when they had these limited time Spam menu. I had to make sure that I tried something. I got the spam and pineapple pancakes with a plantation tea (pineapple juice and iced tea). I got a lot of food. The pancakes were a stack of three topped with diced spam and pineapples. It was delicious! Plus, I can't wait to come back and try their panasadas (malasada pancakes). read more

The food was amazing. We had the: Portuguese sausage & eggs: soft scramble with white rice -- the eggs were perfect, while sausage was grilled just right. Fresh strawberry whipped pancakes -- the pancakes were soft and the strawberries were firm sweet and uniform size. The whipped cream with macadamia nut sprinkle were great. Plantation Iced Tea (pineapple juice & ice tea) -- so refreshing and yummy. I had two. Hawaiian loco moco (w/ Fried Rice) -- it was yummy and perfect. If you are thinking about going don't think about it. Just go and enjoy the fresh food. Wish I had one of these at home. The service was very good and the staff wa helpful. A friend of mine recommended Eggs 'n Things and I'm glad I stopped by for lunch. The restaurant is on the second floor while the first floor is a shop where you can buy their merchandise. I was looking at the honey bear water flask but managed to hold back. I'm still thinking about it and you can purchase online from their website. I waited about 5 min and our table was ready. We went upstairs and was seated right away. Our waitress is so friendly and gave us a few recommendations. Here's what I got: Hawaiian loco moco Kalbi & eggs w/ kim chee Blueberry Whipped Cream Pancake Iced Kona rainforest coffee I enjoyed my meal and can't get over the whipped cream pancake. I would love to visit Eggs 'n Things again to try other items on the menu...and perhaps buy the water flask too. read more

I loved this little spot for a Hawaiian breakfast. I got the island fried rice with eggs over medium, which was packed with ham, bacon, veggie and little fish cakes. Was absolutely delicious, and a really uniquely flavored fried rice. Also got an iced coffee during the short wait for our seats. It was a great call to just chill with the iced coffee for a few minutes before breakfast. read more

I loved the flavor and texture of them! Kids menu is perfect and has something for every little keiki's breakfast appetite. This spot is quick, in and out and ready for the day after a good meal. This is a local chain of breakfast restaurants, we jumped on the Yelp waitlist 40 mins before arrival. This is recommended during peak breakfast times as they were BUSY! This place is no frills, but the food is good and prices are reasonable. I ordered the Moco Loco, I've never tried it before and it was yummy and set me up for the day! My only criticism is that food came out slow and we were told the kitchen was backed up. We may be back! read more

Wow this place was BUSTLING when we stopped by on a Wednesday morning! We came in around 8:45ish and it already had a wait time of 25-38 minutes. I really liked the step by step procedure of how to secure a wait time slot, and the instructions to head to the second floor once we got the second text. I wish I knew ahead of time to sign up for the wait list on Yelp. Service was friendly! Now let's talk food. I ordered the chicken and waffles. While portion size was BIG (couldn't finish) I was a little disappointed in the chicken. There were only two pieces, small and boneless filets. I'm used to having Popeyes style chicken and waffles back home in Houston. My siblings also ordered the Portuguese sausage and there were only 3 pieces of meat along with an abundance of pancakes, so I feel like the dish was very carb heavy. I did like the waffles though! Overall, it was good but I don't think I will wait more than 20 min to eat here again! read more

Food was great and they give you plenty but host upstairs was unfriendly and kind of rude and

It's a small place. Some seating upstairs too. Only about 3 tables that accommodates larger parties. Contact tracing, vax card and ID as usual. The bathrooms are gross and smell horrible. Guess that's why woman's bathrooms don't hand urinals, that's all I could smell. Checked in at 10:06am. Mostly large parties waiting on tables here. We are famished and starving. It will be lunchtime by the time we are seated and I will want lunch instead of breakfast then. 20 minutes later and we are 10th in line. 40 minutes later and we are only 6th line. My blood sugar is low and I can feel myself getting light headed too. I am getting hangry as we approach the hour wait now. We are second in line after 55 minutes. Ugh. This food better be worth the wait. My hands were quite shaky from waiting an hour for food. We didn't leave for another walk place since other places might have a wait too. Ordered a coffee and a mixed fresh fruit juice, a morning wrap with the Portuguese sausage, add jalapeños and pepper Jack, a veggie omelet with added jalapeños ($1), green onions ($2.25) and Turkey bacon ($2.25) with the included side of pancake, crispy ends and an order of onion rings. Nothing here is complimentary at all. I would have rather paid a little extra order for the French toast. $46.43 is our total today. The pancake is crispy and crunchy and the pancake is fluffy inside, it's not bad, still not quite the way I wanted it though. The veggie omelet is okay, lots of Turkey bacon and spinach and a of zucchini. Need the salsa the jalapeños for flavor. I couldn't taste the pepper Jack at all either. The onion rings the nice and crispy and the breading is light too. Breakfast wrap was tasty. Total is $46.43. We pay at the counter upstairs. read more

Always pleasant and food is great! Worth the wait, the line moves quick comparatively speaking.

We have gone to Eggs and Things multiple times over the past 25 years when we've been in Hawaii. It seems the quality of the food has been deteriorating .
