Don't let the line fool you, Eggs n Things is not worth the wait. It's not even worth a quarter of the wait. And there will absolutely be a wait, even if you join the Yelp waitlist. The breakfast here is very plain, no frills, but not even tasty. My order of breakfast sausage, 2 over easy eggs, and home fries looked like it was poured out of a box, fried for 5 minutes and dumped on a plate. There are a ton of great breakfast spots in Honolulu, and I'd highly recommend skipping Eggs n Things and going to any local food hall where you'll find a much more thoughtful meal without waiting anywhere near as long. read more

Great food and fantastic service! Excellent value plus a view of the ocean. What more can you wish for...

The rainbow pancakes were honestly one of the highlights of our trip. The food is so so delicious and was totally worth the wait! Make sure you join the waitlist at least an hour before you want to eat because it's a long wait. read more

Stopped by this spot Monday morning, thinking I was smart and that Monday mornings couldn't possibly be busy. Well I guess when you're the bomb-dot-com EVERY day is busy! That only made me want it more...so I decided to go back the next day, yesterday, and I was prepared to wait as long as it took. The host, Ross, was endearing and kind and although he warned the wait was long, he offered hope that it may move along quickly. And he was right! My server, Bryson, was not only accommodating and eager to serve, he actually suggested the Portuguese sausage, although I mentioned trying it somewhere else and I wasn't a fan. He says "wait until you taste MINE and then you tell me what you think". The confidence was truly accurate because his was sooooo delicious. The entire staff was friendly and helpful! The prices were reasonable considering the portion sizes as well as the QUALITY. And with a beautiful view of Waikiki Beach, this place wins! Absolute and total BB referral! read more

Long wait but well worth it. Enjoyed our server Kent. Huge selection of entrees. Small but fun.

Give his place a try even with the long wait, good food and friendly professional, attentive staff.

was not good. way too hyped , line was long for no reason. Seating is way too small and quality of food was not good. Dennys tasted better to be completely honest. I wouldn't waste my time here. read more

This place has a mom and pop type of feeling... the food is pretty good here... my friend and I split the loco mock as they have big servings! The view was amazing.. we actually came here right before sunset so we can have dinner and watch it... so this place isn't only for breakfast, brunch or lunch. :) The staff was friendly.. had to nudge them a bit regarding getting our water refilled, but other than that... nothing too big... will come here again when I go back and visit... read more

We went on vacation to Hawaii for 1 week. Eggs 'n Things is a unique local restaurant and has been the best place we eaten.

Service is horrible! Food is good but idk it's not worth sitting in line waiting for two hours and then when we get food they just throw it at you! It's insane how horrible this service can be at one location not by one person but by every single one of them! You can order a bunch or things because they only let you do anything single! Not every one eats 5 pancakes at a single time! You wanna be able to try all the different types of pancakes and Foi they have but you can't with how unwilling they are to give you a side order of anything! Anyways this was the only thing close to our hotel that was a more breakfast type of place so we went but yeah not something I'd tell other about. super dirty place! The restroom was horrifying and the place was super dirty! At our table we found a I think cucumber or whatever it is that has been there looks like for months! read more

This is probably one of the best breakfast place right across from the beach. Relaxed setting and great atmosphere with excellent food. You'll need to reserve your spot online by joining the waitlist on yelp. Give this place a try and you'll be pleasantly surprised. read more

Food was fresh and though the line was long, the staff were fairly speedy in seating everyone. In addition, you can reserve your spot online ahead of time. My kids and I enjoyed the food. This is our second time trying this place and haven't been disappointed. read more

The wife and I went here twice on our trip, and we were amazed by the food and experience both times. We showed up the first time at 6:15 AM to see a 30 minute wait already it was so worth it! We both got coffees, which were strong and great. They give a lot of coffee for a good price! 10/10 The wife got the hawaiian fried rice, which was loaded full of meat, veggies, and the rice was great! This was the best breakfast she had ever had, her words. The second time she got the kimchi fried rice, which was even better. 10/10 I got the spinach, bacon, and cheese omelette, which was probably the best omelette I had ever had. The omelette was huge, and the bacon was loaded in the omelette. It came with a side of rice that was perfectly cooked as well as a super flavorful salsa that paired amazing with everything. 10/10 We would like to give a shoutout to the hostess from today, 9/16, as well, she was running around and doing everything and providing the best service possible! We gave her a separate tip, but know she needs the recognition as well! The service was 10/10 both times and we would come back again if we weren't leaving! read more

Food is amazing! I always stop here when I am in Hawaii. The wait can be long so either go early or add your name on the list (online) while you are walking there. read more

Nice portion sizes for the price. Wait was not long. Good diner vibe. Would recommend if you are looking for a good place for breakfast.

Worth the wait! Make sure you sign up on the waitlist before you go. The Hawaiian bread French toast is the best. Crab cake Benedict with pancakes is a huge serving. The guava pineapple orange juice is refreshing and the staff is lovely read more

The food was amazing! You definitely get your money's worth, we got 2 meals out of our breakfast. My mom had the ahi tuna, it was so fresh. I got the eggs n meat as well as the strawberries crepes w/fresh pineapple. Make sure you join the waitlist when you're otw, then check in upon arrival. Helps you get seated so much faster! Especially bc it's such a small establishment. They have a strict last seating at 12:30, but available for take out until close at 1pm. read more

服务态度非常非常恶劣！！！根本不配一颗星。 This morning, my husband and I arrived at the restaurant at 5:45 AM, being the first to queue up, waiting for the restaurant to open at 6 AM. Since my husband needed to attend a conference starting at 7 AM, we wanted to have breakfast as quickly as possible. After the restaurant opened, my husband went to pick up the coffee he had pre-ordered from the nearby coffee shop and asked me to order for him so we could eat as soon as he returned. However, the elderly Asian man at the reception (who was identified as the manager) wearing a black mask refused to let me order in advance and, because not all diners were present, refused to let me sit down. He also refused to let me order in advance. Meanwhile, the twenty to thirty people behind me in the queue were all seated, but I was asked to wait outside. His attitude displayed arrogance and disdain toward Asians and people of color, showing no understanding or respect. Despite my repeated explanations of our purpose for coming early, his behavior remained very rude and unprofessional, completely violating basic service etiquette and clearly demonstrating discriminatory behavior. I hope this feedback helps others avoid a similar unpleasant experience. If you're looking for a pleasant family dining experience, I would suggest avoiding this restaurant. If you're Asian or a person of color, this place might not be suitable for you. The elderly man, who was identified as the manager and wore a black mask, exhibited the rudest and most unprofessional behavior I have ever encountered, which completely goes against basic service etiquette and was clearly discriminatory. read more

Good food. No vegan options . I did the acai bowl but it has honey. Great service. Check in outside via the iPad.

We just had to stop her after seeing those delicious pancakes and waffles served with mile high whipped cream and fresh fruit of your choice. We had about 1hr wait but I'm telling you it's well worth it. Once seated it went quickly, service was great and the food outstanding. Wife and I shared a basic egg and meat breakfast and shared a amazing thick fluffy waffle garnish with fresh strawberries, blueberries, nuts and whipped cream with chocolate drizzle....OMG deliciousness. Definitely recommend this place read more

Great food and service. A long wait but it's worth it. Staff very pleasant and friendly. I went twice while on vacation.

Food was amazing, a lot, and wasn't expensive! Service was top notch and the establishment was very clean! I would definitely come back!

Great food and staff was so friendly. Downtown Waikiki so I think a little overcrowded. Waited over an hour. Food was good and staff was so friendly. In the future I would check in on Yelp way ahead of time and then walk down. Great coffee. read more

We were in Waikiki the Saturday morning of a cruise leaving that evening. We wanted a good breakfast, more than pastries and coffee, but not an overpriced buffett. Egg's n Things was right on target. Reservations are a must because this is a rather small, very old "diner type" place. It seats maybe 40 people. At 7:30 am I made an 8:30 am reservation. The food was hardy, so tasty, and plentiful so much so that we skipped lunch. This is a late post so I don't recall exactly what we had (something with potatoes), just that we were happy with our breakfast choice, both the location and the food selection. Would definitely recommend if you don't need fancy ambience. read more

Very average breakfast place. Wouldn't mind it being average if it wasnt for the hour wait. The food is absolutely not worth the wait. Would have given 3 stars for average food but the servers will charge extra for things without telling you its a surcharge. They asked us if we wanted pancakes, potatoes, or rice as a side, and then proceeded to charge us $3 for potatoes as a side that they offered us. Very disappointing considering the wait and popularity. Omelet was below average, and waffles were average. Do not recommend unless there is no wait read more
