Will NEVER go back to this place again! I stood outside today for over 25 minutes to have my "To Go Order" taken. Per Shannon, she could only take one order at a time. She knows me from coming there and having take outs. My last take out order (week prior) was not prepared as I asked for it. I brought the food back and was told to return at another time for another order, I said okay. Today (7/31/2020), I returned and placed the same order. Shannon took my order and never wrote it down, but I repeated twice to make sure she had it right. I am allergic to cheese and told her to make sure it does NOT have cheese. Upon picking up my order, Shannon stated to me, "I made sure your bacon is made crispy and the potatoes are not dry and burnt". I trusted her word and upon arriving home, what do you know, my order is covered in cheese. Now, this is the 2nd time they screw up my to go order. I called them and spoke with the Asian Female Owner. I informed her that they screwed up my order and she stated to bring it back. Upon my arrival, she asks to see my food and I showed her the screw up order. She starts by telling me that Shannon told to me to check my order. I told her that Shannon specifically told me that she made sure my food was made just the way I asked for it (I tipped her and left). The Asian Female Owner returns back to me, hands me the money for the cost and tells me "To Never Come Back here again" and leaves. No, I'm sorry, let's redo your order, NOTHING of such! Here I am trying to support the Local Long Beach Restaurants due to CV-19 and I get this kind of treatment. I was boiling. I kept my cool and left. I kept thinking on how people flip their lid when they are treated in this manner. I am an immigrant, hard working, got a piece of the "American Dream" graduated from College, have a decent job, pay my taxes, treat others with respect and here I am having another immigrant talking to me with anger and disgust. She walks up the stairs and leaves me outside standing in "Ah". I asked myself, "How are you going to get your frustration out and be heard"? Yelling is NOT the answer, Violence is out of the question, then it popped in my head, Go To Yelp and be heard!!! This is my first Yelp write-up ever. I got to know Ruth at Ruth's Country Kitchen on Anaheim Street and then at Egg, Etc. For the years going to her establishments, NOT once, was I ever treated in this manner by her or her staff. I DO NOT have pretty words and thoughts for this Immigrant Female Owner. But, I will NOT write them on here, Karma will be knocking on her door. Quote: Karma is a dish best served when it's COLD. And that will be her demise! I been living in Long Beach for over 28 years and the best cheapest Marketing Tool and word of mouth. Her are my last words: Hello Karen and Bye Felicia! read more
