    Chicken Masala Sandwich
    Ivan B.

I got takeout from EggHolic mid afternoon on a Friday. It's a fast casual spot where you order food at the counter. The inside was bright and clean. I ordered the chicken masala sandwich and mango lassi. The sandwich had good spice from the chicken masala which was balanced by the egg, tomatoes and bread. My only critique here would be that the bread overpowered the sandwich a little bit with the bread to filling ratio. The mango lassi was also very good. It had the classic yogurt taste flavored with mango and it was cool, slightly thick and refreshing. Overall I would recommend this place. I saw a whole bunch of other interesting items on the menu that I'm curious about and definitely want to try!

Love the vibes and the food. The decor inside is very creative and enticing, with some pop indian culture and quirky sayings. Service was friendly and helpful. The food was flavorful and yummy. I particularly like mild to moderate and their spice range is on point. My husband had the Hum Tum (while greasy) he said the spicy level was to his liking. I really enjoyed the sandwich and egg wrap. Looking forward to come by again when I'm in the area, it's ideal greasy, cheat day food!

Tried Eggholic for the first time today. I love trying new foods and so I was excited to try some items from this menu. I had the paneer and chatpapa wrap. One was spicy so I would recommend asking about the spice levels before ordering. That staff was extremely nice and helpful when I was ordering. I got the mango juice box drink from the fridge and it was refreshing. As a "dessert" I tried the Dahi-Puri and it was an interesting combination of flavors. Idk if I would order that particular item again but it was fun to try.

Delicious! First time going to this location. I have already tried the one in Chicago which is great. I tried a chicken sandwich which had great flavor and seasoned chicken. I'm not sure if it had egg, but if so the flavor didn't stand out. The only thing I would say is it's a bit much bread compared to the filling.

This was my first time at Eggholic and I was so surprised by how much I enjoyed this meal. Food: absolutely loved the chicken masala sandwich. The bread was perfectly toasted, chicken was nicely spiced ano overall, packed with flavor. I love Indian food and I was so excited to try this fusion style food. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I also really enjoyed the mango lassi. It was thici, creamy and perfectly sweet. Ambiance: this is more of a fast casual spot with updated, modern interior. It's a very nice place to grab a quick bite to eat. Service: the person at the counter was very nice. He asked us how we enjoyed our food and recommended a couple dishes to try next time. I would definitely come back to try the other dishes that they serve and I would highly recommend others to come try out EggHolic for a modern twist on Indian food.

This was my first time ordering here and I will DEFINITELY be back. The food was very good and flavorful. As soon as I walked in, I also noticed how clean the place was. I walked up to the counter and service was quick, although my order was placed online so it was already waiting for me. Next time, I think I'll eat in at one of their booths. I can't wait to return and try more of their menu items.

So far we have tried lachko - an intense green garlic onion flavored preparation, can be spicy for few but I loved it. The taste lingers in the mouth for long. Can be overwhelming for few. We constantly go back to anda masala sandwich - comes with lays chips but the overall 2 layered sandwich is pretty awesome. Ofcourse the cheese spread or the melted cheese elevates the flavor of the egg filling , but pretty tasty. comes in white bread.

If you're a fan of Indian egg dishes, this restaurant takes the concept to another level! Eggholic has a wide variety of egg curries, omelettes, bhurjis, frankies, and rice dishes. Their menu also has non-egg (vegetarian) and nonveg (chicken) dishes. The egg toofani curry, rassa bhurji, and lava pulav were amazing!! They all had pretty decent spice and were packed with flavor. We ate rotis with these dishes; the rotis were well done. The pani puri was also yummy. The service was good, as the workers are hospitable and food is prepared pretty fast. This restaurant is small, with a warm and homely ambiance. I recommend all egg lovers to try this place out. It is definitely one of my favorite Oak Tree Road restaurants. You will not be disappointed!

    Who knows

Worst chicken masala I have ever tasted. Actually, worst food I have had from a restaurant in a very long time which is an achievement in its own right. It almost felt like I got pranked: soupy watery mess and undercooked chicken. Look at the photo it speaks for itself you're better off going to a local Indian spot in Edison (there are so many). I'll be spreading the word. Good luck with your business.

Great food and service! Tried paneer tikka sandwich, paneer Khadi, lava pulav, paneer Kati roll, and amdevi sandwich. My Favorite was the paneer tikka sandwich.

The person who services us was very kind and helpful with the selections. That's the same reason I didn't click a lot of pics like I would usually do. The vegetable biryani, SPDP chaat and puris with aloo subzi came in no time from the time we ordered. As much as the food was tasty I found them bit salty and the subzi little oily - this coming from a salt lover who tends to add salt to anything he eats, you can trust me. The tomato onion based curry lacked salt and spice and the actual soya pieces were too soft and mushy in texture. Wish these were a bit more dense as experienced in other restaurants. Roomali Roti- drown in ghee and it must have sat over a gas flame because it tasted of bad chemicals. Basically like eating the ghee-soaked cotton swabs from the candles at the local temple. Kathiyawadi Thali- the wife's dish- she enjoyed two if the items but this was not a great experience either. I was disappointed in the vast difference in quality between two visits. Service, however was great as servers were attentive and quick.

We also tried the tandoori chaap, which was flavorful, tender, and beautifully grilled with a smoky aroma. We had planned to try several items but ended up ordering only Sarson ka Saag - Makki ki Roti and Dahi Puri due to limited availability. The saag was flavorful, though the roti seemed to be a mix of besan and makki (cannot confirm this though). The Dahi Puri was okayish, but little bit too dry. Hence, won't recommend this dish. Many guests were turned away because of the inaccurate closing time listed online. I recommend calling ahead to confirm before visiting.

The appetizers were fresh and delicious, and the cooks preparing them as well as the waitstaff were extremely professional, attentive, and courteous. Unfortunately, our experience ended on a disappointing note. We finished our meal, paid our bill (which included the mandatory 20% gratuity), and were simply enjoying each other's company. At 1:46 p.m., after being there for just 1 hour and 41 minutes, the host came to our table and asked us to leave. We were almost only 4 tables who were not Indians. What made this particularly surprising was that there were approximately six empty tables in our dining room and many more available in the adjacent room. The restaurant was clearly not waiting for our table. Had there been a posted time limit for buffet seating, we would have completely understood and respected it. However, no such policy was communicated or displayed. In addition 2 hours for 4 people are normal time. This interaction left a sour impression after what had otherwise been an outstanding lunch. Restaurants are certainly entitled to set dining time limits, but those policies should be clearly posted and applied consistently. We will likely return because the food and service from the kitchen and waitstaff are excellent. We only hope management handles situations like this with more professionalism and courtesy in the future, as it would make the overall dining experience as exceptional as the food. We will simply push back next time, and send the person away.

When entering from Grove Ave, it's easy to be a little bit confused because the restaurant is stuck in the corner behind what used to be Stop n Shop and such. The shopping center is certainly very empty without the anchor grocery store, so it's often quite easy to miss this. Knowing that the restaurant opens dinner service around 6, we got here just before then and realized that the staff was already accepting people beforehand. That was great. As my girl is from Goa, this was a place that was on her mind for some time to try. Likewise, I wanted to try some authentic Maharastrian food too. To start, we ordered a mango lassi & a Kaira Panha. I stuck with the former, which was great. My girl enjoyed her drink too, though def not my first preference. For an appetizer, we ordered the Kothimbir Wadi. This was quite tasty and well enjoyed with the chutney. Certainly authentic. For the main meal, my girl enjoyed her fish fry. I got the Veg. Kohlapuri along with Garlic Naan. The Kohlapuri was good and was easily able to finish it. The only small gripe we had was that the tomato-based curry kinda reminded me of a North Indian korma that you'd get from other establishments. My girl noted this and do wonder whether this is truly the proper way of making and enjoying a Vegetarian Kohlapuri. She noted it was meant to not have a tomato base and was supposed to be a bit more flavorful. As this was my first time, I'm not sure if I can fully validate this, but it's worth a question. Nonetheless, I can't complain about the food. Just simply a curiosity on my end.

Saoji is a fiery, deeply spiced, mostly non-vegetarian cuisine said to have originated with the…read moreHalba Koshti weaver community of Madhya Pradesh. When the community migrated to Nagpur in 1877, their food followed -- spreading through the tradesfolk and mill workers who embraced its bold flavors. Today, Saoji is considered the signature cuisine of Nagpur: intensely spiced, unapologetically hot, and built around powerful, roasted masalas. Tonight we ate at Nagpuri Saoji in Voorhees (they also have a location in Iselin), and these two spots are reportedly the only places in the U.S. where you can experience this cuisine in its full, blazing glory. To Start We began with sabudana vada -- the classic Maharashtrian fritter made from tapioca pearls, mashed potatoes, peanuts, and spices. Served piping hot and impossibly crisp outside with a tender interior, they came with two chutneys and were absolutely sublime. Alongside that was goat sukka, a dry-style mutton preparation associated with the Mangalore and Udupi regions, with spice influences tracing back to Goa and even Arab and Turkish traders. Coriander, fennel, cumin, black peppercorns, and fenugreek give it depth and warmth. It was bold, savory, and incredibly flavorful. The Curries I ordered chicken kala masala curry, and it was deeply earthy, nutty, and robustly savory. "Kala" means "black" in Marathi -- referring both to the color and to the roasted spice blend itself. Cumin, coriander, cloves, cinnamon, stone flower, coconut, sesame seeds, and chillies are roasted and ground into a dark, complex masala that lingers beautifully on the palate. We also ordered Goat Handi, with tender meat in a velvety, aromatic gravy, and a Malwani goat curry, made with Malvani masala from the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra -- a spice blend that balances heat with coastal warmth and depth. Rice, plain naan, and indulgent Amul cheese naan rounded out the meal. Dessert We finished with Sitafal Rasmalai (custard apple-infused rasmalai) and Jamun Rabdi -- both creamy, fragrant, and perfect against the lingering spice. A Few Notes Like much traditional Asian cooking, the meat dishes are cooked on the bone -- so eat mindfully. And if you request "hot," they mean hot. This is not toned-down spice; this is the real deal. I was thrilled to try dishes from India that I've never made before. Saoji cuisine is bold, unapologetic, and absolutely delicious -- and I'll definitely be adding some of these flavors to my home repertoire. If you have the opportunity to try this cuisine -- do it.

The tarri tasted weird so it ruined the entire dish. Same tarri was present in the misaal too, so this dish was ruined too. Sol kadhi was average. The service was fast and the ambience is okay-ish. Honestly, would not recommend this place for their vegetarian options!
