I've been to Dhaba couple of times and each time the service has been bad, while the food is a hit or miss. The items we ordered over the course of our visits are: Bhel puri. 5/5. A generous portion and one of the best ones I've had. Dahi puri. 3/5. Not spicy at all and wasn't seasoned enough. Didn't care for the yogurt/ Dahi that was used Chat papdi. 4/5 was good. Savory and flavorful. Amritsar kulcha. 4/5. Served with Chana with potato seasoning inside. Chicken biryani. 2/5 Not good at all mostly rice. Hardly any meat. Butter chicken. 3/5. Service 2/5. As mentioned earlier service was bad. If you are going to advertise your product as a sit down restaurant, then have your staff up to par. They just take order after a long wait and then disappear till the bill is summoned. Also, for party of 4, a 20% gratuity added without knowledge for such shabby service. Ambiance is actually nice. It's very detailed with nice pictures, posters, objects. Nice decor.

We were so happy that there is ATLASTTTTT a"DHABA" in oak tree but it was soooo DISAPPOINTING !! Very average food ! Firstly , the entrance and interiors looked good . We were taken to the back hall , which was colddddd like Antarctica :) It took almost 25 mins for someone to come and take our order ! Kids were so waiting for food ! Atlast someone came and took our order and then it took another 25 mins for the food to come ! Hara bara kabab was so average (pic attached) no chutney or sides . It tasted so dry and average . Chilli paneer was also average . They kinda put fresh paneer (like raw) and had some seasoning on it . One thing which was good was guava juice and mango lassi was ok ok . We were atleast hoping the main course would be good .. Again disappointed ! Biryani was a joke here ! So so so "not good" .. paneer gravy was like tomato sauce :( it was so sweet. Chole was ok but not spicy at all . Naan was good . Pickle was really good . We had to eat most of the food with pickle only .. French fries were really good . Overall a very ordinary service and food ! Will not go back again !

It was our first time at the restaurant and we weren't very hungry so we ordered limited items. For appetizers, we ordered Dahi Puri and Pani Puri and they were both equally good. For the main course, we shared the Kadhi-pakora and the flavors definitely hit the spot. The rice was fresh and fluffy and the kadhi tasted very authentic. Definitely give it a try. Oh, and how can I forget the soft-gooey Chilli Cheese Naan. Must must try. We also ordered the instragammable Guava drink. It is served with a freshly cut guava filled with guava juice with the remaining juice in a glass. Really appreciated the idea of giving the extra juice on the side and not ripping customers with the little juice in the fruit. We will definitely be visiting back soon to try out more dishes.

Service: 4/5 Service is good but not excellent. I have been to Dhaba several times and service is typically polite and acceptable, although several times they have tried to hard sell me on their buffet which I did not appreciate, especially once I had already said no. Food: 4.5/5 There are many good choices on the menu, and a few particularly great ones. Of the courses I tried, these are my ratings: Papdi Chaat- 4.5/5. Good chaat, about as good as most other Indian restaurants. Great for chaat lovers like myself, but nothing particularly special. Gobi Manchurian - 5/5. This is my number one recommendation for appetizers. I was recommended this by the waiter once, and I am not typically a fan of gobi (cauliflower), and I have tried Gobi Manchurian elsewhere before, but this really stood out as savory and flavorful. When made fresh, it is crispy even in the sauce (which is not the case when you eat this in their buffet). Amritsari Fish - 4/5. Crispy battered fish with onions and lemon wedges and a mint dipping chutney. I am not the biggest fish fan, but I enjoyed this as it was nicely seasoned (though not too strongly) and crispy. Portion size is good too. Don't be fooled by the red color though, it is not spicy. Goat Biriyani - 4/5. A good biriyani. The goat meat was well cooked and not chewy and had good masala, and the rice was perfectly spiced and aromatic. I only wish there was a bit more meat, they skimped on this. Chicken Malai Tikka - 5/5. This is my pick for the tandoori options, the chicken is nicely spiced and charred in tandoor oven and the flavor from the malai marinade is excellent. I can safely say that this is better than Tandoori Chicken in flavor, so get this instead of just a Tandoori Chicken Sizzler. Panner Sizzler- 3.5/5. Good, but small portion size. Home style Chicken and Karahi Chicken - 4.5/5. Both are excellent chicken curries. I would say they are similar in taste, except the Karahi was spicier in my experience (which is my preference). Shrimp Masala Handi - 4/5. A good amount of shrimp in a relatively mild masala. Garlic Naan 5/5 - Large in size and perfect thickness with a bit of flakiness. 2 Naans are large enough to be shared for 3 curries, at least for my family. Conclusion: Dhaba has become one of my favorite spots to eat in the Oak Tree Road area. Their food is relatively high quality in comparison to many other Indian restaurants, and they have a couple of stand-out menu items. I recommend checking it out.

Wonderful place! Food is excellent!! Service is great! Yashaswini is brilliant in handling customers! Ambiance tends to be loud. But that because of the crowd for great food!!

Pani Poori- 6 pcs - these were tasty though the chutney was more like syrup. The water used came out in a small bottle which was cool. Crispy Baby Corn- great indochinese appetizer, the baby corn is lightly battered and fried then tossed in a sauce Soya Masala Curry- this was a flop. The tomato onion based curry lacked salt and spice and the actual soya pieces were too soft and mushy in texture. Wish these were a bit more dense as experienced in other restaurants. Roomali Roti- drown in ghee and it must have sat over a gas flame because it tasted of bad chemicals. Basically like eating the ghee-soaked cotton swabs from the candles at the local temple. Kathiyawadi Thali- the wife's dish- she enjoyed two if the items but this was not a great experience either. I was disappointed in the vast difference in quality between two visits. Service, however was great as servers were attentive and quick.

The person who services us was very kind and helpful with the selections. I went here for lunch with some of our friends and family and after having had a heavy home breakfast and hence didn't have an appetite for the Thali meals. That's the same reason I didn't click a lot of pics like I would usually do. The vegetable biryani, SPDP chaat and puris with aloo subzi came in no time from the time we ordered. As much as the food was tasty I found them bit salty and the subzi little oily - this coming from a salt lover who tends to add salt to anything he eats, you can trust me. Overall a good restaurant serving quality food and with ample parking space (weekend parking story could be little different).

Saoji is a fiery, deeply spiced, mostly non-vegetarian cuisine said to have originated with the…read moreHalba Koshti weaver community of Madhya Pradesh. When the community migrated to Nagpur in 1877, their food followed -- spreading through the tradesfolk and mill workers who embraced its bold flavors. Today, Saoji is considered the signature cuisine of Nagpur: intensely spiced, unapologetically hot, and built around powerful, roasted masalas. Tonight we ate at Nagpuri Saoji in Voorhees (they also have a location in Iselin), and these two spots are reportedly the only places in the U.S. where you can experience this cuisine in its full, blazing glory. To Start We began with sabudana vada -- the classic Maharashtrian fritter made from tapioca pearls, mashed potatoes, peanuts, and spices. Served piping hot and impossibly crisp outside with a tender interior, they came with two chutneys and were absolutely sublime. Alongside that was goat sukka, a dry-style mutton preparation associated with the Mangalore and Udupi regions, with spice influences tracing back to Goa and even Arab and Turkish traders. Coriander, fennel, cumin, black peppercorns, and fenugreek give it depth and warmth. It was bold, savory, and incredibly flavorful. The Curries I ordered chicken kala masala curry, and it was deeply earthy, nutty, and robustly savory. "Kala" means "black" in Marathi -- referring both to the color and to the roasted spice blend itself. Cumin, coriander, cloves, cinnamon, stone flower, coconut, sesame seeds, and chillies are roasted and ground into a dark, complex masala that lingers beautifully on the palate. We also ordered Goat Handi, with tender meat in a velvety, aromatic gravy, and a Malwani goat curry, made with Malvani masala from the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra -- a spice blend that balances heat with coastal warmth and depth. Rice, plain naan, and indulgent Amul cheese naan rounded out the meal. Dessert We finished with Sitafal Rasmalai (custard apple-infused rasmalai) and Jamun Rabdi -- both creamy, fragrant, and perfect against the lingering spice. A Few Notes Like much traditional Asian cooking, the meat dishes are cooked on the bone -- so eat mindfully. And if you request "hot," they mean hot. This is not toned-down spice; this is the real deal. I was thrilled to try dishes from India that I've never made before. Saoji cuisine is bold, unapologetic, and absolutely delicious -- and I'll definitely be adding some of these flavors to my home repertoire. If you have the opportunity to try this cuisine -- do it.

I know it's popular for the saoji chicken but being a vegetarian I had to stick to their veggie options. I visited this place for dinner and they were out of a lot of things. I got the shegaon kachori, Misaal Pav, Tarri Poha and Sol kadhi. Shegaon kachori was the best option amongst the lot. It was super crispy and the filling was nice as well. Tarri Poha was a let down. The tarri tasted weird so it ruined the entire dish. Same tarri was present in the misaal too, so this dish was ruined too. Sol kadhi was average. The service was fast and the ambience is okay-ish. Honestly, would not recommend this place for their vegetarian options!

What was once a food court vibe has been transformed into an almost upscale feeling. They have also expanded the seating area, so everyone isn't packed in that little room anymore. While the interior has changed, the food remains the same high quality it's always been. My absolute favorite is the Hakka noodles. I truly have never found any restaurant that compares. Our other favorites are the chili paneer, veg Manchurian and gobi Manchurian. All 3 are delicious, and we like to get them with gravy so it isn't super dry. None are too spicy, but they provide small sauces to add spice if you want that. We ordered on the phone and our food was ready on time when we got there (on a busy Friday night). Cant recommend enough!

The yogurt sauce was a bit of a miss for me, it felt too watered down and would be much better with a thicker consistency. The hot sauce was decent, but not nearly as spicy as I'd expect from an Indian spot. Service, unfortunately, was the weakest part of the experience. I was dining with one other person and there was only one other table of three, yet things moved pretty slowly. There were a few employees around, but the service just wasn't very attentive, and communication was a bit tough at times.
