To be expected, they were slammed for brunch on a weekend but luckily I was able to walk in by myself. Service was a bit slow and sitting near the window is not ideal, there's a bad draft there so my fingers were cold the whole time. As for food, everything was tasty and not too heavy. I recommend the turkish eggs and hashbrowns. The hashbrowns was a good call cause it helped soak up the yogurt from the turkish eggs (not enough toast ratio). Since its near the heart of bedford, prices are quite steep. I tried not to think about that I basically paid $15 for one egg and one toast. I don't mind dropping good money for dining out but at some point, I do a double take yk? read more

Came here for a Sunday Brunch to catch up with a friend and I thought the experience was okay. The restaurant was cute and certainly instagramable. However, I thought my dishes were lacking in flavor and skill. I ordered their Ricotta Scramble with bacon sprinkled on top. Visually it was nice to look at but taste wise, I could barely tasted any ricotta and the bacon was really dried and tough to eat. I also shared their truffle hashbrowns with the friend and the hashbrown tasted like old dried out potatoes with barely any truffle flavoring. Overall, I don't think these dishes deserve the price tag it was given. As for service, I love the guy that first took care of us. He was friendly and attentive. Though I didn't care for the lady that gave us the check. They immediately add a credit card fee and call it "admin fee" and I wouldn't even know if I didn't ask. Then to make it worst, when I opted to pay in cash, she said they don't have change. For me, as a business, it's the restaurant's responsibility to have cash available at all time. Eventually, another guy had to come out and he said they do have change. I didn't like the back and forth and I didn't like how the restaurant handled it. Overall, I can't see myself coming back nor can I see myself recommending this place. The only good thing I did like about this restaurant is that they open up early. read more

Such a delicious brunch spot located in the Williamsburg area. The server was so warm and friendly and the food and coffee were on point. This was such a great experience. I think this has now become my most favorite brunch in Williamsburg. I got the scrambler which was grilled corn, mushrooms, cojita and chives with avocado and it was a spot on portion size and salted perfectly. We also got the ricotta pancakes with raspberries and honey butter + maple syrup. They were light and thin, which was super appreciated and then my friend got the loaded hash browns and pepper boy sandwich and the plates were clean! We had a great experience here! We arrived Friday morning and nearly had the place to ourselves: huge space inside with nice seating and decor. We skipped the drinks as we had coffee elsewhere, and went right for the egg sammies. I opted for the Pepper Boy on gluten free bun - this was delicious and hearty. So good!! Came here on a whim cause we needed food and it was the closest to us but it was a pleasant surprise how good the food was. The inside was very cute with many things eggs themed. They even have a book. I highly recommend all the things we ordered which were the avocado egg toast and the bacon egg sandwich. The coffee was good too and it came in this super cute cup that I just want to take it home with me! Avo & egg: presentation was amazing and the taste did not disappoint. The crispy shallots add a little something to it. All of the ingredients go so well together. Everything was fresh and the bread was delicious. B.E.C.: I thought this was your average sandwich but no! It's way above average and it's a little crazy how something so basic can be so good. Life altering breakfast (and not just because we attempted to brunch out with two young kids). I had the Turkish eggs which are a triumph. The richness from the yolk and creaminess from the yogurt cut by the cucumbers and dill and then hit with that chili oil. If I could eat one dish for the rest of my life it would be this. But don't sleep on the non egg things too. The lemon ricotta pancakes are a dream and the biscuit with the maple honey and jam (yes, please spent the extra $2 for the jam). My 2-year old and I were fighting over it and she was using a piece of bacon as a spoon to eat it. My only complaint was that they didn't sell the jam by the jar. I would have bought a case. And the chef's kiss was the spicy pineapple margarita. This place made me remember why you should go out for brunch! read more

I was STARVING when I went here and really needed something to energize me. My friend and I did family style (like always) so I got to try both foods. Before we get to that, though, let's talk about service. It was good but our poor waiter couldn't hear us bc it was too loud (ppl seem to love this place). I've been coming to Egg Shop in Williamsburg consistently over the last two years! It's one of the first brunch shops I came back to repeatedly because I'm a sucker for good eggs - and they make GOOOOOD eggs. My go-to is the ricotta scramble, which has some pecorino, truffle, red pepper, and microgreens - mmm just writing this I'm getting hungry. The servers are always kind, and I love the ambience in there. I always see friends and family gathered and having happy conversations on the weekends, and it makes is such a jolly place to have brunch! Will always go back. Enjoyed a nice breakfast here one morning while visiting New York. I was a little hungover from the night before and this place was more than able to give me the sustenance I needed to get through the day. Started with the apple cider brunchkins which were SO good! Hot and fluffy and flavorful. Delicious, and came with a relatively large portion. Next we went for the hash browns and buttermilk biscuit, which were both just okay in my book. Make sure you ask for the jam with the biscuit -- that was the best part. Otherwise it was a little dry. For our mains I ordered the chilaquiles, as I often do home in LA. They were really comparable! I've heard not great things about Mexican food in NY but I enjoyed this meal. My friend ordered the chicken strips and bacon for her meal. I tried some of the chicken and it was so good! Service was great - our waiter came back time and time again to refill waters, coffees, and our next course. Visited this place while on a recent trip to NY. The staff was really nice! We visited on a Wednesday afternoon around noon so it was pretty empty. I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. It's listed as spicy and the waiter suggested I get the sauce (harissa) on the side. I'm glad he suggested that because it was super spicy to me. Shortly after ordering our food started coming out one after the other & everything looked delicious. The Turkish eggs had a very balanced taste with the perfectly toasted sourdough bread, which added a great texture. Ricotta pancakes were crispy on the outside & moist on the inside, topped with raspberries & lemon curd. If you love pancakes you should definitely try these. And now on to the headliner the Hot chix sandwich. First off, I'm not a fan of cucumbers but something told me just to order the sandwich as is. Also, the waiter did recommend that I top off the sandwich with a fried egg, best decision I made all day. Years ago, I heard about this place through their cookbook. We have finally eaten here. We are disappointed. The 'Scrambler' with corn was boring. However, the eggs were cooked properly. We loved the biscuit. The 'Hashbrowns' were overly crisp version of latkes. Three people helped us. Person 1 told us to seat ourselves. Person 2 took our order. Person 3 delivered our food. No one checked in on us during our meal. No one asked how our food was or if we wanted anything else. Person 1 came over to process our bill. When we told him we would leave 15% tip, he said, 'we will do that later.' He never asked how our food was. I overheard him talking to the person next to us about where he bought his color blocked pants. He seemed to like to talk about himself instead of focusing on customers. We usually leave 20% or more in tips, but that was not warranted in this situation. We may try another Egg Shop location in Manhattan. Hopefully, it will be a better experience. read more

It easily accomodated our large group of 20 (15?) without feeling like we were infringing on others' space and experience.
