    ROAST BEEF SANDWICH
    Adam M.

I've been meaning to come here for a while now and today was the day. The sandwiches are very well designed! I have no idea where they are sourcing their sausage, but my word it tastes like it's from a farm down the road. The roast beef was also so tender she's flavorful. And, not pictured is the cardamom bun that blew my socks off! The bakery is nothing too fancy, pretty easy vibe, and gets super busy on a Sunday. But the service is still fast and solid.

Went to Smor Bakery to pick up some food close to our Airbnb before flying out of JFK yesterday morning (around 9:20AM on a Wed). While walking over, a lady on the corner told us that the bakery was really good. There were a few customers already sitting inside and some in line waiting to order. Everything in the pastry case looked enticing, and I would have ordered more if I didn't have any self control. We got a sausage egg & cheese sandwich, a savory scone, and a cardamom bun to go. The interior is cute and seems like a nice place to work/study or enjoy a nice drink and pastry. We didn't eat any of the food until we were on the plane, but everything was delicious! The sandwich was hearty and well-flavored, and the bun tasted fresh and made from scratch. The savory scone was moist and scallion and cheese flavored, and the lightly sweet cardamom bun was the perfect pairing with tea/coffee. Highly recommend Smor Bakery and only wish we had found it sooner during our brief stay in Brooklyn.

    Smoked trout breakfast plate

My friend and I went here for brunch on a Sunday morning around 10:30am. There are a few tables inside and we managed to get a seat. I ordered the smoked trout breakfast plate, which was soft scrambled eggs with smoked trout mixed in and served with a slice of sourdough. My friend ordered the breakfast burrito, which was filled with cheesy eggs, potatoes, bacon, scallions, and avocado, and served with a side of chipotle mayo. I also had a cold brew. The food was delicious and the portions were quite generous. I really loved this spot and will definitely be coming back to try the pastries. All the staff were so nice, too.

I had this cardamom bun months ago and can't stop thinking about it. It's by far the best one outside Scandinavia. Service is fast casual and the vibes are amazing. It's worth a trek out for. Will be a must visit for me when I'm in town

    BREAKFAST BURRITO

Love this bakery in Williamsburg. Great for a quick breakfast & coffee. I've tried the BEC and breakfast burrito & prefer the breakfast burrito. The BEC comes on a brioche bunch, which isn't my favorite. The burrito is sooo good & paired with a latte is divine!

But this review is about something bigger than dessert. The strawberry cheesecake here reminds me of my mom. It was her favorite, and it was one of the last desserts I got to share with her. Anytime she wanted a sweet treat, that's what she asked for. Ordering it now keeps me connected to her. This past July, on her 3rd birthday in heaven, I placed an order to celebrate her. The menu only had cherry cheesecake that day, so I wrote a note explaining what the strawberry meant to me. The staff didn't just make it happen, they sent an extra slice of strawberry cheesecake on top of it. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. The people here have always been this kind. We love everyone who works there, and we're grateful for the small moments of care they've shown our family. Thank you for everything.

I wanted to get the carrot cake as opposed to the carrot cheesecake, however, it was sold out. Instead, I purchased the Slice of Red Velvet cake and a slice of Blackout cake. Each slice was approximately $9. Not a terrible price; managed to get two slice of cake for under $20. I love how there is an option to dine in here. There's a full menu of coffee beverage options to choose from and a pastry to pair it with. There are also a variety of decorative cupcakes to choose from as well. I instantly noticed the Knicks championship cupcakes when I walked in. The establishment is relatively small but you can tell that they get great business here. The staff members who I engaged with were pretty nice as well.
