Absolutely fantastic pastrami egg and cheese breakfast sandwich here. Wish they put a little less egg tbh, as it would've made the proportions better, but the chorizo biscuit was elite. Would definitely come back here again. read more

It's Tuesday morning and I'm looking for a breakfast spot that's opened by 8am. Cafe Alita popped up on my search and had a pretty stellar rating. We trekked the 20 minutes from where we are and make our way. This little trip didn't disappoint! I ordered the pastrami, egg, and cheese on a plain biscuit, while my SO ordered the chorizo biscuit with egg and cheese sans aioli. As we sat down and waited for our food, the chef was like, I insist you try it with the aioli and we said we accept this decision. Customer service here is fantastic. The girl at the register was very sweet and the chef, super friendly. There is a new sandwich on the menu but the Focaccia wasn't ready yet. Guess we'll have to come again! read more

I'd rate Alita Cafe three and a half stars. Small coffee shop with specialty biscuit sandwiches. We shared a chorizo and cheddar biscuit with pastrami, egg, and cheese. Biscuit was good. Unfortunately, we came later in the day, so the biscuit was at the end of is shelf life. Big fluffy egg that was almost frittata like. The egg was my favorite part of the sandwich. I would have skipped on the pastrami. Service was quickly, friendly, and helpful. Seemed like it's a well loved shop as they had a couple regulars walk in later in the day. Only six seats inside, but most patrons were grabbing coffee to go. read more

I got gluten free biscuits for my gluten-challenged friend and she said they were delish. The owner, who was sweeping the floor just before closing, was super nice and generous. read more

The chef was throwing dog treats across the cafe. Dogs drooling everywhere. Just an overall unpleasant experience unfortunately.

The gluten free biscuits are MAGNIFICENT. And the service is friendly and kind. I love this place.

I visited for my daily matcha latte on a cold, rainy weekend day. When I entered there were only two other guest, by the time I got my drink and left, there was about 7 people in there! The customer service was amazing. The staff was super attentive and asked me questions to make sure the order was correct and made sure the confirm everything. Super nice, super kind, super fast to make the order, the customer service is great overall. I got a matcha latte with oat milk and no sweetener. My matcha latte tasted a bit too powdery/chalky for my liking, but it was overall okay. I didn't love it, but it was good enough. It's hard to get the "just right" amount of matcha powder. Too much and it's powdery/chalky. Too little and there it little to no matcha flavor. The shop was small for 7 guests to be in line to order, but there are two 2-person table seats and 4 counter seats. Inside is very cute and a nice place to just sit and hang out. read more

Alita deserves the hype! Stopped by to order a highly raved BEC (bacon egg and cheese) and was thoroughly impressed. Perfect sweetness from the biscuit and sauce used and well cooked eggs that weren't too soft it fell apart and not too undercooked that it was dripping everywhere. The 3 person team running the show when I was in shop was phenomenal. All of whom were extremely friendly and switching between duties seamlessly. They offered another customer an extra pastry after their croissant fell apart when being picked up. The same employee ran after a woman who left forgetting she ordered a BEC. Another worker would take stops very briefly to say hello to any puppies that walked into the shop and gave them a treat. The last worker gave me a little extra egg after waiting ~15 mins for the BEC. Tip: you can call ahead! Small shop! A couple seats inside and out if you want to take a little break. And it's extremely well air conditioned! Great joint, I'll be back next time to try the coffee :) read more

Great pit stop for coffeee/breakfast! They have punch cards but I didn't know this the first time I went and had to ask for one the second time. I think it's 1 free drink after 8? Service seems friendly and you can call in to order ahead. Foods I've tried: BEC - delicious! It has a sweet sauce which I was not expecting (didn't really read the ingredients) Croissant - delicious and flaky, I wished it was bigger!! Its got that slight sweet glaze on top Olive oil cake - sooooooo good, love the lemon Drinks I've tried: Coffee - so far my favorite in the area. Its strong and has a fruity/sour/acidic flavor, which I've grown to like BUT I know a lot of people don't. Dirty chai - my biggest disappointment here :( just tasted really sour (like the coffee sour but worse) and wasn't my cup of tea Another disappointment - oat milk is $1.25 extra, which is by far the most expensive I've seen for milk substitute read more

Wow! This is a little hidden gem. This is probably the best coffee I've ever had in NYC. Doesn't taste burnt at all like most other places and it has a nutty aftertaste. Really delicious - doesn't even need syrup flavors. The chocolate chip cookie is divine and tastes homemade! I'm so happy I stumbled upon this little hole in the wall. It's tiny inside but there are a few tables / stool seats by the window. It's a great spot to bring a book and people watch. They have a bunch of other pastries that look delicious as well and I'm excited to try them all! This spot is just steps from the L train at Grand St. Don't miss it! Super friendly service, quick, and delicious. What else could you need? read more

I've lived in NYC for 9 years and this is the BEST breakfast sandwich I've had during my time here. I recco getting it on the focaccia but the options are plentiful. Not pictured is the banana bread, which for reasons I can't describe is also the best I've had. Just GO! read more

The reviews of this place are what got us in the door & im so glad we listened. The moment you walk through the door you're met with a warmth you don't always find in the city. The staff was wonderful. The coffee is top notch. Just enough options and not trying to overdo it with an overwhelming menu. The biscuits. THE BISCUITS. Go hungry and get the Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwich. It's killer! read more

I frequent this spot often with my partner on weekend mornings. He's a coffee lover where I prefer anything but that, but I will say from what I've tasted from taking sips of his cups of coffee, along with the chai lattes and teas I've ordered, it's one of the best I've had in Brooklyn. The pastries and sandwiches are a perfect combo with a drink and will get you through the mornings. The bacon egg and cheese on a croissant is my go to. The sauce that's on it is a perfect tie in. The prices are typical for a coffee shop in the city, however thankfully not overpriced. The space itself is a quaint little storefront on a busy commercial street. Not a place to have a long sit down, more just a quick rest and out you go. The service is quick and friendly and they will always accommodate any requests that you may have. Big pro is they always remember you if you come again! read more

Super impressed with the pastries and overall vibe of this cafe! The banana bread is moist, perfectly sweet and topped with a nice caramelized, crunchy crust. The cookie is HUGE and everything you would want from a freshly baked cookie - buttery, gooey with just the right amount of crunch. It just melts in your mouth. The staff was very friendly and informative. And the cafe aesthetic was right out of a rom com. We are so excited to come and try their drinks and we will definitely be adding this as one of our regular spots! read more

Got an iced matcha latte from this cute little coffee shop in Williamsburg. There's not a ton of seating inside, but they do have some seats. I was in the neighborhood for something else but needed a place to chill a while so I hung out at Alita Cafe. It's quite small but there are two counter stools against the front window where you can sit down. The seats are comfy as they can be for stools, fortunately. There is another medium size table and a few seats right outside, but the sidewalk is a little small so if you need quiet space, I recommend sitting inside. The coffee shop has a nice variety of pastries, if you want to have it with your coffee. I had a cup of hot latte, and it was alright. The barista was very friendly. read more

Local native. Have been wanting to stop in and I finally did. Wish I had sooner. Great selection of baked goods. Biscuits! Several kinds.... And the people couldn't be nicer. So welcoming and friendly. I got the BEC on a croissant and it was GLORIOUS. Also got a cookie. Also great. No coffee for me this time because I already had mine this morning and too much caffeine makes me carom everywhere like a pinball. But it smelled amazing and I will definitely get a proper cup next time. And there will be a definitely be a next time. Very soon. Go there! They rock! read more

The best coffee shop in NYC! They are so friendly and they make the best baked goods and breakfast sandwiches as well

It's honestly absurd that they charge you 75¢ for ice. I've gone in there 5 different times and paid 5 different prices for the same thing "Iced Hibiscus mixed with their jasmine green tea"... now i didn't mind when i was charged extra for mixing the teas, but to pay for ice? insane. Then when I asked the employee she said "we pay for ice" .. lol i'm not sure what kind of business you're running here but for the love of god, stop making your customers pay for ice! read more

ordered ice latte (+ almond milk) , chocolate croissant , about 7 + 5 bucks. very happy about coffee , just right , means perfect for me , not over roasted, not over acidity , not over bitter. chocolate croissant is my fav bakery item. The authentic one usually made with layers of butter for the flaky experience. I like the way Alita Cafe made, added chewiness to the dough, less greasy (/buttery) , flaky ouside n chewy like bread inside. Chocolate filling is soft n not over sweet. love it! I like good neighboorhood coffee shop , do their bean roasting, do you? ** bakery items is freshly made everyday ** coffee bean is roasted at Long Island City. ** pet friendly read more

A favorite coffee spot. Baristas are nice as could be. Coffee is good, the biscuits rule. Small but almost always a seat open.

Wow what a fantastic hole in the wall! Right when you walk in you see what a cozy space they've made-the cool green ceiling, all the plants, & embracing the brick in their space. Every person I spoke to was so kind, and they make an incredible latte. And yes, they do have oat milk! I also picked up one of their cheddar scones and it was incredible. They even roast their own coffee and I think they get fresh coffee beans almost every day. I got my first punch on my punchcard and I am so excited to be back. read more

In town visiting family and we decided to try Alita for breakfast. The food, coffee, and staff were incredible! We all opted for the Alita BEC on biscuits which were made to order. The baked goods had just come out of the oven which made it a hard choice. The biscuits were huge and so filling!! The eggs were light and fluffy and the sriracha aioli sauce was not spicy but added a wonderful flavor. The coffee was excellent too!! Everything was AMAZING!! We had an opportunity to speak with the owner and heard about how he got started and where the name came from. You can tell and taste the joy and passion! The customer service and quality of food is top notch! If you are in the area this is a must stop!!! You will not be disappointed!! Can't wait to visit again soon!! read more

This cafe is really an awesome addition to the neighborhood. The cold brew is really good and they have a bunch of milk options including oat which I appreciate. My 5 year old loves the banana bread and I was ordered to buy her a slice each day that I go in there to get myself a coffee. Haha. She also loved the chocolate croissant she had. All of the baked goods that I have had from there have been delicious (yes, I've been there every weekday that they've been open). The biscuits are so good. They had a new chorizo and cheese biscuit and it was amazing. I think they bake everything there each morning, which I also appreciate because you literally know you are getting the freshest biscuits and croissants. Also, they have chocolate chip cookies like everyday. Come on. This place is literally amazing! I can't wait to try one of the espresso drinks or a red eye. So so good! read more
