The popular frozen tahini cold brew ($9)
    Matt L.

Highlights: -Name your own pride bread for loaves like focaccia, sourdough and rye. I appreciate the ethos behind this, that bread should be affordable for everyone! -Creative specialty lattes: orange blossom, pistachio marzipan, pistachio and walnut syrup with kadiefh on top. Their most popular summer drink is frozen tahini cold brew, which goes well together. I do wish it was a little less icy but worth the novelty because it's beautiful to look at. -Olive oil cake is excellent. Perfect sweetness and moistness.

Nice cafe next to Saratoga park. There is plenty of seating in and outside. They serve completely unique coffees. What I really enjoy are their breads, all freshly hand made and freshly baked on site. Today I tied their pastrami sandwich, and pistachio latte. There's plenty to choose from. Another thing of note, the staff is efficient and very diverse, a welcoming vibe.

One of a kind bakery with unique offerings using fresh ingredients. Their frozen tahini cold brew and signature beverages are delicious. Their staff is always sweet and there are plenty of seating options inside and outside.

food- the croissant was good! I wished they were serving lunch when I was there- I really wanted to try their food, so I'll go back soon. coffee- delicious! and just the cutest cup. It made me want to take it home to junk journal. it was such a solid latte and a good caffeine boost. staff- SO KIND. everyone was so helpful and friendly. vibe- delightful. I brought my laptop and worked for maybe 2 hours, and everyone around me was kind, I was working at a table with like 4 other strangers and it was great. I want to be back and support this place.

    Iced Latte and Blueberry Muffin

I love the exterior and interior design of this bakery. The seating was good, and I saw a few people working comfortably on their laptops. The iced coffee and the blueberry muffin were delicious. I went back recently when the owner announced their new brownie. It's RICH. If you love chocolate, it's for you. I'll be back to try the other pastries.

The sourdough bread was hot out of the oven [they bake it right behind the counter], soft on the inside, just right on the outside, and reasonably priced. The matcha iced tea (with a touch of honey) was delicious and refreshing. And the staff were super friendly. You can sit outside or inside (see photos). The atmosphere is casual and has a neighborhoody-feel. Chef Tony, who runs the place, seems to really care about making customers happy and serving the community.

Very cute cafe with great coffee, pastries and bread (vegan options too), service, and both indoor and outdoor seating. My running club ended our run here and they were very accommodating of our large group. Someone accidentally dropped their pastry and one of the staff members instantly gave her a new one! They were very kind to us. And love that they have a pay-what-you-can system for bread so everyone can access it. Definitely recommend!

The food was fresh and tasted like it just came out of the oven. Also, the service was great. Glad that I stopped by. Worth a visit.

On this visit, I was buying bread for three different friends as gifts, so I naturally needed a little extra time to make my selections and place my order. Unfortunately, the staff member serving me appeared extremely impatient throughout the process and even criticized me for not explaining my order clearly. I completely understand that there were customers waiting behind me and that the staff needs to keep the line moving. However, I believe every customer deserves to be treated with patience and respect. If I am spending over $120 on your products, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect five minutes of patience while I carefully choose my order. I truly love this bakery and will continue recommending it because the quality of the bread is exceptional. I only hope the customer service can better reflect the quality of the products. A little more patience and kindness would make the experience just as memorable as the bread itself.

It is so clear that they use incredibly high-quality ingredients and carefully curate each component, which is exactly why everything comes together in such an elevated way. The tomatoes reminded me of the ones I grew in my garden during California summers as a teenager. Perfectly salted, layered over soft, not-too-tart feta. The focaccia was made with beautiful olive oil and, while a bit chewier than I usually prefer, gave the sandwich a satisfying bite. I had to close my eyes while eating it just to savor it. The chocolate cherry almond croissant... wow. Such a creative combination, and it did not disappoint. Soft, buttery, and filled with a sour cherry compote that reminded me of a cherry cordial from a box of chocolates. 5/5. Hainsley, who helped me, was exceptionally lovely. Everyone even in line was very nice, the vibes were awesome. I'll definitely be back to try the spicy tofu sandwich and the heirloom tomato tart!

While they didn't have their full selection available, there were still plenty of pastries to choose from. We ended up getting the vanilla kouign amann and the chocolate PB&J croissant. The kouign amann was flaky, buttery, and beautifully caramelized. The chocolate PB&J croissant was easily our favorite. It was filled with rich, decadent chocolate and a layer of jelly that balanced everything out without making it overly sweet. My significant other hasn't stopped talking about it since! We're already looking forward to coming back to try more.

I've found myself stopping by a few times, most recently on a soft Monday evening, mid-run, just as the sun was beginning to set. It was one of those pauses you don't plan for, yet end up appreciating the most. Each visit has been defined by their pastries--thoughtfully made, deeply flavorful, and consistently comforting. While I've tried a number of items over time, what stands out most is how difficult it is to go wrong here. There's a quiet confidence in everything they serve. On my most recent visit, I settled on a flat white alongside a saffron-based pastry filled with cream. Both were exceptional. The coffee was rich and steady, grounding in its warmth, while the pastry carried a delicate balance of sweetness and depth--the saffron present but never overpowering, the cream adding just enough indulgence to make it feel complete. The space itself feels like a small retreat. The interior leans into a cozy, almost cabin-like warmth--wooden textures, soft lighting, and an intimacy that makes you feel instantly at ease. It's the kind of place that invites you in gently, encouraging you to slow down, even if just for a few moments. On my last visit, I was served by Forrest, who was welcoming and kind, adding to the ease of the experience without making it feel overly structured. Bakeri is not the kind of café that demands attention--it earns it quietly, through consistency, warmth, and the simple pleasure of well-made pastries. It's a place I find myself returning to without much thought, knowing that whatever I choose, it will be just right for the moment.

From the front, Bakeri looks small and cramped, and I think that visual alone probably talks a lot of people out of stopping in. What they're missing is the outdoor patio tucked behind the building, which opens the whole place up. Honestly, if it weren't for my friend, who lives nearby and comes here often, I probably would have skipped it myself based on that first impression. That's just how the cookie crumbles in NYC: plenty of great spots lose customers before they even walk in. The brunch, though, was genuinely good and healthy. I got the salmon and avocado on rye, which was pretty decent. Worth pushing past the storefront and finding your way to that back patio.

From how eclectically gorgeous the converted apartment to bakery vibe is to the delicious pastries, I'll definitely make a point to return here regularly. Food: I have tried their croissant, pain au chocolat, and iced vanilla latte. I've been thoroughly impressed both times (more so when I visited earlier in the day) as both pastries reminded me of those in Paris. They have a nice flakiness without being excessive. They're soft inside, and the chocolate inside the pain au chocolat is light enough. I wouldn't sleep on their coffee either: their vanilla latte is probably ranked in my top 5. Service: The baristas here are friendly, and they play some good music on aux. Service is straightforward: you get your pastry immediately, and they'll call your name out when your drink is ready. Ambiance: There is plenty of seating upstairs. I have not had trouble getting a table even though there's usually a small line out the door (it moves fast). Additionally there is free WiFi and a nice restroom. Great location for this shop too: Brooklyn Heights is lively and has many other cute shops and restaurants next door.
