I've had this spot bookmarked for a while and never managed to go here even when I lived in neighborhood. Finally had a chance and I'm happy I did so! The cafe is super cute and intimate. Pretty limited seating and extremely busy in the weekends. I also wonder if it's overflowing from Baby Blues right next door. I got the strawberry matcha latte, the smoked salmon onigiri and the tamago sando. The sando is amazing. I would keep come back for that over and over. The onigiri however was kinda mid? It felt like it was 75% rice and hardly any filling, but the filling with really nice and it was all well salted. I do think Kijitora has the best strawberry matcha in the neighborhood but this is a close second. Definitely make a visit. The cafe is super trendy, with industrial interior and patient staff.

heard great things about their matcha so I wanted to try this place. it has limited seating but a nicely decorated interior with plants and a rustic charm. we tried the: - pork shabu shabu bento box ($16.25) - gyu-don bento box ($16.25) - iced matcha oat latte ($6.25) the bentos were decent, the meat were tender but I wish there was more sauce. the matcha latte was on the lighter and sweeter side, so if you like that you would like this matcha latte. I prefer really strong and umami ones but it's all personal preference!

The ambience is that of a recently abandoned garden. There really isn't that much seating but when I went around noon on a Sunday, there was really only one guy working on his laptop while everyone else took their orders to go. We got the iced matcha latte and tiramisu latte. Both come default sweetened. They were delicious but I would order non-dairy milk next time since both drinks had intensely milky after tastes. Really reasonable prices for the size and quality ~ highly recommend and am looking forward to trying their food next time!

Casual style and cozy atmosphere cafe at Williamsburg. The cafe style with such an organic vibes and easy to take out. I liked an iced Hoji tea latte for this hot summer day! There are Japanese modern style of Bento boxes and Onigiris for brunch. Delicious onigiris are from $3.75- They will call you when they are ready which is understandable for the small business. Thank you for the smile and the good vibe!

I always enjoy a good Tamago Sando! They even offer the option to add ham. We also tried the breakfast burrito--personally, the flavor was a bit too strong for my taste. On the bright side, the small fruit cup on the side was a pleasant bonus. The tiramisu latte leaned too sweet for me, but the cozy atmosphere of the café made the experience enjoyable overall. I'd love to come back and try their lunch menu sometime!

Forget everything you know about other cafes in New York City. Brooklyn Ball Factory is so wonderful and offers delicious food and drinks, and what more could you ask for? The Yuzu Ginger Honey Mint Tea is an absolute must and the Tamago Sando was a total knockout, just so creamy and filling. Warning though, the weekend line can be brutal so bring a friend who likes to talk!

Great authentic Japanese spot to get onigiris, bento boxes and breakfast sandwiches by my home. Very trendy especially with the heavy metal steel door that gives it all. Love their heavy steel door that looks very retro and vintage. There are cute patio chairs and tables and a high table on the side for indoor dining. There is outdoor seating too and a garbage can by the door for discarding trash. Many utensils in an organized shelf to grab along with condiments for coffee and drinks. There is also a bathroom towards the end that is gender neutral. There used to be a 2nd level but due to the pandemic, it is closed down and nobody can go up anymore. I got the tiramisu matcha latte and it was very sweet and good. Not too much sugar and not too sweet. Very high quality matcha and fresh. Drink was coated with a lot of matcha powder on the top and I had to mix it in with the rest of the matcha latte. The place is always filled many young and trendy people and line can get long at times especially during the weekends around noon.

While waiting for our table at Winson to be ready, we walked over to get coffee here, as Winson Bakery's line was far too ambitious. I'm not sure how I haven't been here before but it is definitely a cafe that I want to go back to again, sit at, feel cute and not delete later. It has all the little treats my heart desires such as hojicha pudding, French toast, and fun seasonal hot drinks - tiramisu latte?! Yes, please. Our oat latte and flat white were delish. Thank you for being so lovely.

been on my list of places to try so i'm glad I finally got to try it! got the salmon bento and tried the beef and pork as well as the tiramisu matcha latte. really liked the salmon - it was filling and a good amount of food for the price. the pork belly was unfortunately very dry. beef was decent! sadly the matcha was a flop imo bc I couldn't really taste the matcha and it was a bit too cheesy tasting for my liking. overall fun place to try and a cozy vibe but wouldn't really go out of my way for it.

I heard about this place on instagram saying that this is one of the best places to get matcha. I ordered the matcha tiramisu latte and as a matcha addict, I thought the drink was pretty good. Not too heavy on the matcha flavor, since it was also a tiramisu latte, and it tasted more like matcha cake. Inside is super cute with indoor seating. I also wanted to try the food but the wait time was too long.

Please note that there is NOT a rooftop like many previous photos show! I came here at the recommendation of a friend and was lured in by the prospect of being able to enjoy a fun drink on a rooftop, but alas, there's only a cramped space with what I assume were the tables used in the aforementioned rooftop. I came by around 1:45pm on a Saturday and waited for about 15 min in line before I was able to order. I got the iced Yuzu Ginger Mint Tea, which I really enjoyed. I was able to snag a table and sit with a book while I killed time, but it's definitely not the atmosphere to do work.

I recommend trying any of their coffee! I usually go for their American which you cannot go wrong with. But their cold brew is also something I gravitate towards especially during hot weather.

Really cute Japanese cafe! The space is pretty small, but luckily my partner and I were able to find a spot to sit. We ordered a Tamago Sando to share, a Hojicha Latte, and Matcha Latte. Both lattes were sweetened. For how busy the cafe was on a Sunday afternoon, our food came out relatively quickly. I really liked the Tamago Sando. The lattes were good, but I think I would try them unsweetened next time. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

The meat is just absolutely perfect...melt in your mouth, moderately seasoned and delicate enough to put it all together with the noodles. The establishment is a bit smaller so it is recommended to get a reservation beforehand. But walkins are also welcomed I suppose. They have a high top area that is nice for having a front row seat to the action in the kitchen. Th music is good but random haha. Service was good the first time. But could've been better my second visit.

Had dinner at Za-Ya in Brooklyn and tried the Gyukotsu Miso Ramen ($19), Saba ($12), Saikoro Steak…read more($14), and the Cucumber starter ($8). The ramen was everything you want in a bowl -- a hearty, beef bone marrow broth with layers of flavor, bouncy chewy noodles, and an egg cooked perfectly. The short rib inside was extremely tender, and the toppings of fried garlic, green onions, and wood ear mushrooms added even more depth. The saba (miso-braised mackerel) was another highlight: extremely tender and moist, probably the best-prepared mackerel I've had, with a miso sauce that complemented it perfectly. The saikoro steak came as chunky, tender bites with a soy-vinegar garlic sauce that tied it all together beautifully. And the cucumber starter was cold, refreshing, and carried a nice spicy kick. Za-Ya nails Japanese comfort food with care and balance. The ramen and saba alone are worth the trip, and the sides round out a very satisfying meal.
