Finally checked out Mozaik Cafe and it truly felt like discovering a hidden gem in Williamsburg. It's a small, intimate spot, perfect for a group of 2 or 3. It has a cozy atmosphere that feels personal rather than cramped. The owner was incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. We tried the Sultana shakshuka and the Mediterranean chicken sandwich, both were outstanding. The Sultana was rich and flavorful. The bread that came with it was just perfect as well. The Mediterranean chicken sandwich was fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying. It came in a great portion size. Left us feeling very full. You can tell the food is made with real care. i've been to mozaik twice now and i absolutely adore this spot. i love classic shakshuka (they make a delicious one) but this spot also offers a diverse array of dishes with eggs and tomatoes that are unique and delicious. The owner is also so attentive, enthusiastic, and warm - he welcomed us warmly, kept giving us warm crispy toasted bread refills, and encouraged us to ask questions about the dishes. i also tried a lavender coconut coffee that was delicious. its a cozy, warm spot and one of my neighborhood favorites. read more

My best friend and I went to turkey last summer and had sujuk toast every day - this hit that craving!! felt like we were back in turkey. so much so that we facetimed the family we went with, who ended up chatting w/ the worker. how adorable?! The baklava was $5 for three pieces. It was perfect. Not to sweet and so much good flake to it. Tbh I would probably skip the coffee next time, and just get the food.
