I don't mean to exaggerate but is this the greatest bakery ever. Tight on the inside this popular spot has rations for any craving. Soup, sandos, amazing sweets, and of course dang good coffee! The open kitchen is awesome. You can watch workers prep goods, hand wash dishes, and enjoy their jovial interactions. The ham and cheese roll was amazing. So was the scone of the day. The ham was savory and the croissant buttery. Every bite sent me to an oasis of peace. Oh, and the scone was so amazing. Cranberries, orange, and pineapple. I took a visiting friend to Bakeri for coffee in the morning and it did not disappoint. I ordered an iced latte which was good and prices were comparable to other cafes in the area. They had a delicious-looking baked goods selection. My only (not so positive) note is that it was HOT inside. It seems as though they do not have AC or have very limited AC. I'm always in search for a yummy pastry and recently stopped by this Bakeri in Williamsburg and picked up a Fig and Walnut Danish. The danish is delicious with a flaky, laminated base, walnut frangipane, fig jam and fresh fig slices. Loved this combination and the walnut frangipane made it super decadent with a good level of sweetness to accompany the fig. This location has a cute backyard patio as well which is great for catching up with friends or enjoying their lunch items. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu! read more

Bakeri is located across the street from CM. Entering Bakeri I felt as if I entered a bakery found somewhere in the South: small, intimate, farmhouse tables and Shabby Chic decor. In other words, Fawn's kinda place!!! Their baked goods looked delicious: focaccia bread, chocolate brownies, carrot cake and other delicious offerings. I chose a hot Chai and the Apple Cider flower and found a seat at the farmhouse table. The apple cider Flower was warmly spiced and fruity and so fresh. The Chai was good just a bit too milky for me. As I sat, it was nice to observe the service offered: a customer wanted tomato jam and the cook was going to make it for him. This place of course is a boon for the local Williamsburg residents. I can see why, there's an old fashioned kind of kindness in the service. It was nice to sit awhile and enjoy my treat. Williamsburg is lucky to have Bakeri.. I live in the neighborhoand i appreciate their bakes goods. Overall the baked goods are delicious and flavored well. Not too sweet, fresh fruits, veggies and cheese filled treats. The good - great customer service, smiles....very helpful and the staff doesn't rush customers to order The not so good - 1) the quality of their baked goods is changing. 2) No variety 3) Over the past few months, The scones and frittatas are baked too hard to where the crust on the scone is crunchy like biscotti. And its tearing my gums up! The menu is basically the same week after week. It's either a scone, tiny muffin, apple cider muffin, small loaf baked bread, or provolone cheese filled croissant or kale/provolone roll/danish. And....when I say the lemon/berry small muffin thingy is small. It's small for $3.50+. Three small bites and it's finished. The croissants are $6. I also understand we are paying for quality food made on the premises. Months ago, I'd been purchasing the kale/bacon roll religiously in tje weekend. Note - This food items comes out the oven after 10am. Then one weekend I went to purchase it, that roll was discontinued and replaced with a spicy kale roll. Then a kale roll with mushrooms where the label didn't make mention of the mushrooms. I ate it but had to pluck out the mushrooms. This item did offer variety but the bacon was the best. This is not a place to indulge if your pockets are not screaming, "You're good, order what you want,". BTW Kale needs a little salt, it's bitter. read more

If you aren't paying attention, you could end up walking right past their store on Wythe Ave, or writing them off as just another Williamsburg café. But the bakery clearly has a loyal following - it's busy with customers nearly every time I'm there. I've tried a few items, and so far, the apple crumble cake is my favorite. The portion size is generous, and relatively fair for the price tag. There are small apple pieces throughout the slice, and while the cake is dense, it remains soft inside. I would prefer more of a crumb cake kind of texture on top (it was closer to pie crust, in my opinion), but otherwise, I have no complaints. I ended up splitting the slice into two servings, and discovered that it tastes even better when warm. read more

The baristas don't listen or ask anything if they didn't hear you, you just get what they think sounds good. The brownies and cookies were perfect for my wife and I, who prefer baked goods that are balanced in their sweetness and flavor. This was my first trip to NYC and we stayed in the heart of Manhattan. We were looking for a low-key place to grab a few select pastries to continue our day and take a break from walking around Williamsburg. We got here and the smell spoke ahead of the presentation, so I was psyched. After agonizing over the many potential sweet options, we went for the Grapefruit Apricot mini-loaf, the Raspberry Lavendar Crumble bar, and Carrot Cupcake. We sat at the long-table across from the cashier and watched as the staff made their baked goods. The three goodies were delivered to us with a bonus Raspberry Cherry brioche that we did not order, but also did not send back - thanks! Grapefruit Apricot Mini-Loaf - the item I was most impressed by. This was a mini-loaf cake with icing on the top. The cake was moist enough without feeling dense, and the light layer of sweetness from the icing did good to finish the pastry off. Raspberry Lavendar Crumble Bar - as much as I wanted to like this item, I could not. The bar had an overpowering tartness of the raspberry, while the bar was absent of its supposed crumble. When I considered it more, I realised the element that was missing - ANY SEMBLANCE OF THE SO CALLED "LAVENDAR". Never have I felt so betrayed by a pastry. Carrot Cupcake - again, solid icing, but that was it. The cake itself did not have anything interesting to it and was honestly too dry to even finish. The shaved coconut was an odd gamble to make, and did not add to the experience. Raspberry Cherry Brioche - this was second up in terms of desirability. This was perfectly flaky with a nice balance of fruit and gooeyness to balance it out. Overall, the experience was quite mediocre. read more

The lunch menu does close at 4 but they have small snacks readily available. I got a small latte and ham and cheese roll. The latte was perfect; I don't normally add sugar so it wasn't too bitter to taste without any. I was very happy with the ham and cheese roll. The bread was soft and lightly seasoned with herbs, and the cheese added a light flavor. I do wish I asked for it warmed up, it probably would've been even better!
