I was really looking forward to this because I last had it a few years ago. However, not sure if they ran out of inventory (got there at 1pm) or they changed the menu but the Kwason we ordered looked nothing like the photos we saw on Yelp. We asked to add some bacon which was $5 extra, and when we first got the sandwich, it was missing the bacon and avocado. I sent it back, and they were apologetic and fixed the sandwich while adding a banana chocolate bread as a complimentary item. The sandwich looked nothing like was advertised: the soft scrambled egg was actually a cooked omelette and the mashed avocados was sliced. The croissants also looked different from the photos, so when we tried eating it everything spilled out - we had to use a fork and knife to finish a supposedly handheld sandwich. I have to stop into Early every time I'm in Greenpoint. They make the frothiest almond milk cappuccino. I have no idea what they do to it, but the foam is thick and creamy. Early uses Partners Coffee Roasters. They also make incredibly savory sandwiches too. I'm sad the Cuban isn't on the menu anymore, but there are plenty of other great choices. After seeing a social media post about Early's Kwason breakfast sandwich, it was clear my taste buds had to experience it. As expected, I ordered the Kwason and it did not disappoint. The goat cheese caked between the soft scrambled eggs gave the sandwich a special touch. It was delicious and costs $9. I also ordered a drip coffee (they use Partners coffee) and a chocolate croissant for the road. Staff was extra friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. The shop is very cute, clean, and minimalistic. There's also indoor seating. I definitely recommend Early and will return. read more

I was nearby getting my nails done and I was craving a Tuna Melt sandwich and this place came up. The tuna melt had all these interesting "extras" so my taste buds were peaked. I promptly got myself there. Cafe is small. Two tables that seat 2 each, and they have bar seating by the window that seats 3 I think. On to the sandwich: I am not fan of Cheddar on my Tuna Melts and the man behind the counter guided me towards using Fontina cheese. Good choice. Also, the sandwich had chops of boiled egg (noticed this the 2nd time I bought it), pickles, arugula. I ask for 1/3 of the normal cheese because i don't actually like my melts tooooo cheesy. Price wasn't bad. It's on regular size bread so not too large. I inhaled the sandwich in 1 seating so that's not a big meal. If you like Tuna Melts then give this a try. The workers weren't the most personable so that's where I would have docked 1/2 a star. read more

The cold brew is solid. The avocado toast is a big let down. It's tiny pieces of sliced bread, toasted, and topped with flavorless, processed avocado mush, chili flakes, and a couple cherry tomatoes. I got an iced latte (nondairy options yay) which is good and the zappie which had interesting components - as a vegetarian, I appreciated the mushrooms.
