Sandwich was great! Matcha was v disappointing. Good little space with limited seating.

Omelette sandwich with cheddar and spinach
Joyce K.

Friendly service and amazing drinks and sandwiches! Stopped in and got their omelette sandwich on sourdough with cheddar cheese and spinach, and a chai latte with almond milk. The sandwich was the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a while - from the fresh sourdough to the cheesy eggs, all the flavors blended together so nicely. The chai latte wasn't bad either and I appreciate they don't charge extra for dairy substitutions. A lovely breakfast to start my day!

Kwa'son (~$10)

Ordered: Kwa'son (~$10): soft scrambled eggs, goat cheese, chives, avocado, and chili flakes on a croissant Iced Matcha Latte (~$6): with vanilla and oat milk Aya's take: I love me a good breakfast sandwich and the Kwa'son did not disappoint. The soft scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked and went well with the freshness of the avocado and flakiness of the croissant. Since it's mostly soft, it could get messy to eat and was a tad smaller than I thought but overall, it's a solid sandwich to start the day with. The Iced Matcha Latte was also well made and the addition of vanilla was a nice touch! If you're in Greenpoint, definitely check out Early!

Kwason with bacon

I was really looking forward to this because I last had it a few years ago. However, not sure if they ran out of inventory (got there at 1pm) or they changed the menu but the Kwason we ordered looked nothing like the photos we saw on Yelp. We asked to add some bacon which was $5 extra, and when we first got the sandwich, it was missing the bacon and avocado. I sent it back, and they were apologetic and fixed the sandwich while adding a banana chocolate bread as a complimentary item. The sandwich looked nothing like was advertised: the soft scrambled egg was actually a cooked omelette and the mashed avocados was sliced. The croissants also looked different from the photos, so when we tried eating it everything spilled out - we had to use a fork and knife to finish a supposedly handheld sandwich. I gave it 3 stars since the flavor itself was good, but I will be honest I don't believe I got what I ordered.

I sat and enjoyed my lemonade & BEC sandwich while people watching here. It's just one staff member serving the place, and she was very friendly!

Small, clean cafe with two round tables and one counter at the window. Sweet little place for your coffee and maybe a bun. They make their buns in house.

Adorable cafe in Greenpoint. I tried an iced latte and kwa'son breakfast sandwich. Coffee was solid, and the sandwich was excellent. Sat on the patio outside which is super cute!

Crew was so nice and sooo quick making my latte. Vibe was chill inside but small space so got a lil crowded later on. Latte was great, nothing special but not watered down OR flavorless.. A+ in this exonomy

matcha

matcha? or just green milk? ridiculous amount of matcha for the size cup. you're basically ordering a cup of milk. go somewhere else for matcha.

Iced almond milk latte

Often I find myself going one place to pick up breakfast and another for the coffee, who has time for that? Early is one stop for good coffee and a solid breakfast sandwich. I got a BEC on a croissant. The croissant was super flakey and buttery, as it should be. The scramble was cooked to perfection. Even some chives thrown in there, loved that surprise. It hit the spot. The almond milk latte was satisfying. Not my favorite latte in the city, but when I'm in the area and need a pick-me-up, it does the job. Personally, my experience with service here was great. Plus they have a cute lil patio out back. We love a patio moment.

I have to stop into Early every time I'm in Greenpoint. They make the frothiest almond milk cappuccino. I have no idea what they do to it, but the foam is thick and creamy. Early uses Partners Coffee Roasters. They also make incredibly savory sandwiches too. I'm sad the Cuban isn't on the menu anymore, but there are plenty of other great choices. For breakfast the Kwa'son and Ham & Veggie Croissant are both excellent!

The BEC is $9.80 (so basically $10) and it's definitely not worth the price. Very very small and egg did not come with chives as stated in the menu. As someone who would come here to get this item for years , I've noticed he brioche bun get smaller and smaller throughout the years .... But I guess that's what inflation is right?

There's the main seating area and then two offshoot lounges, which aren't quite as cozy but offer different levels of quiet and ambience. I love all the random décor, antique signs, old arcade games as tables, a million lamps. It's like what nook is going for but you can actually sit down on a comfy couch most of the time. The guy working the counter has a lot of energy and clearly loves being there. The PB banana smoothie was yummy, very thick so could use a spoon. Mushroom toast was a bit pricey but you did get a lot of food for your money, the focaccia was crunchier than expected but all around a nice cafe bite. I just appreciate how this is such a gathering spot where you can watch bk life play out while working, it had a different energy from a lot of places in the area.

Shucks I wanted to give this place five stars but it didn't start so well. The first barista who…read moretook my order was really great. I first ordered a chai latte and he said I could do two different syrups so I got the pumpkin and salted maple, though I was worried about it being too sugary so he suggested I could just do half a pump of each. He asked me what the name of the order would be and I said "Aida" (the phonetic spelling is ah-EE-dah). And then I heard the other barista say something along the lines of, "oh Aida, how about 'Aida' rather not be here", pretty rude if you ask me. And then I ordered the spicy nook sandwich. And when another server called my named to grab it she didn't even knowledge me when I tried to thank her and instead she talked to her coworker while I was right in front of her. The sandwich was really good, so was my chai tea. I really like the pumpkin and salt and maple syrups too. I did like all the options for seating although it was pretty packed. I'd say if you have a big party get there early. By 7pm the whole place was filled. There was a huge majong club that came in and took the whole back area, it was so crammed there were lines for the bathroom. Over all I had a good time. I really like the music too just know it gets very busy in there. The employees I would say were hit or miss. The ones that were great though I really liked. Just seem like the ones who didn't really give attention to customers or were kind of rude seemed like they didn't wanna be there.
