Based on the reviews, I decided to deviate from Variety this morning to try this place, which is just one block away. Coffee was good, although nothing spectacular or particularly memorable, and very expensive. My oat latte was $ 5.72, similar to Manhattan prices in expensive neighborhoods. The operating hours are very limited (Wednesday to Sunday, 9am-2pm) and the service was particularly unfriendly. I won't be returning.

Location: omg, this place is far far far from any train station. In fact, I have to walk several blocks to get there. I mean, this place is definitely only working for neighborhood Food: actually, I had their Americano. It's bit sour but overall it's okay. Service: the guy was pretty impatient even though I ordered fast and quickly. lol okay then Overall: 3 stars.

I would come here again to try other options on the menu. I found this place on Yelp and I was very interested in the espresso with tonic water since it's unique. However, I did not like the taste of the two combined together. It was very bitter and I did not think the flavors mixed well together. I would give this place another try when I'm in the area.

After leaving BFF pet wash with our lovely goldendoodle, Sam we decided to stop by Crema. I ordered two of the larger size lattes to-go. The man at the front was super friendly and the place itself although small was clean and cute inside. The lattes themselves were $4.25 a piece. The end product was good but mostly tasted like steamed milk. I kept hoping as I got to the bottom more coffee taste would come out but no such luck.

Best damn soy decaf cortado I've had in my life! It was sweet and creamy and strong. Served up by a super kind young woman and paired up with a tasty fresh butter croissant. The shop is tiny. A two-top. A four-top. And four stools on a window bar table. Minimal but warm. Still enough space to set up temporary camp. I went in to finish up a conference paper and it was perfect for getting some work done. Neutral indie tunes in the background, no loud espresso machines blowing up the air waves, and comfortable seating. The free wifi times out after an hour. And as far as I know there's no public restroom in here. Which means staying longer than an hour and a half would take some serious bladder control and primitivism. I saw that they had house-made chai so next time I need caffeination, this will definitely be my drink of choice. Go support them!

Solid, quick, reasonably priced latte. You know it's made well when you don't need sugar or syrups

Paid nearly $14 for a BEC to see what the hype was about. Looks pretty, nice textures, but honestly tasted like nothing

There's the main seating area and then two offshoot lounges, which aren't quite as cozy but offer different levels of quiet and ambience. I love all the random décor, antique signs, old arcade games as tables, a million lamps. It's like what nook is going for but you can actually sit down on a comfy couch most of the time. The guy working the counter has a lot of energy and clearly loves being there. The PB banana smoothie was yummy, very thick so could use a spoon. Mushroom toast was a bit pricey but you did get a lot of food for your money, the focaccia was crunchier than expected but all around a nice cafe bite. I just appreciate how this is such a gathering spot where you can watch bk life play out while working, it had a different energy from a lot of places in the area.

Shucks I wanted to give this place five stars but it didn't start so well. The first barista who…read moretook my order was really great. I first ordered a chai latte and he said I could do two different syrups so I got the pumpkin and salted maple, though I was worried about it being too sugary so he suggested I could just do half a pump of each. He asked me what the name of the order would be and I said "Aida" (the phonetic spelling is ah-EE-dah). And then I heard the other barista say something along the lines of, "oh Aida, how about 'Aida' rather not be here", pretty rude if you ask me. And then I ordered the spicy nook sandwich. And when another server called my named to grab it she didn't even knowledge me when I tried to thank her and instead she talked to her coworker while I was right in front of her. The sandwich was really good, so was my chai tea. I really like the pumpkin and salt and maple syrups too. I did like all the options for seating although it was pretty packed. I'd say if you have a big party get there early. By 7pm the whole place was filled. There was a huge majong club that came in and took the whole back area, it was so crammed there were lines for the bathroom. Over all I had a good time. I really like the music too just know it gets very busy in there. The employees I would say were hit or miss. The ones that were great though I really liked. Just seem like the ones who didn't really give attention to customers or were kind of rude seemed like they didn't wanna be there.
