Based on the reviews, I decided to deviate from Variety this morning to try this place, which is just one block away. Coffee was good, although nothing spectacular or particularly memorable, and very expensive. My oat latte was $ 5.72, similar to Manhattan prices in expensive neighborhoods. The operating hours are very limited (Wednesday to Sunday, 9am-2pm) and the service was particularly unfriendly. I won't be returning. read more

I don't know why it took me so long to come here. I usually go to Variety down the street which is right by the park but just one block further is this cute little coffee shop. Their lattes are perfect and i'm happy to see they have house made chai and ham + Brie croissants. The service is always fast and super friendly (can't say the same about variety down the street where they serve free eye rolls and sarcastic sighs with every order lol) Happy to have found this place and look forward to trying their breakfast egg sandwiches which are available "thurs-Sunday" as of the menu right now read more

We stopped here after a visit to the farmers market in mcgolrick park. We've been on the hunt for a really good dirty chai and have tried several Brooklyn coffee shops. The one at Crema was by far the best we had. We got an iced dirty chai but when it gets colder we'll try the hot one! I also tried the cold brew which was great as well. We saw a couple people get the croissant and they looked too good to pass up, however it looked better than it tasted so id probably pass on it next time. We'll be back, it's a cute little section on Driggs and perfect location for a walk around the park. read more

Awesome neighborhood cafe and it's a bonus that the owner is super duper accommodating and nice. I can be difficult when it comes to ordering since I'm a bit on the picky side, so I normally get the WTF face when I order, but not here. I made quite a few out of the norm requests when I ordered the mocha, but the owner just smiled and said "anything is possible." LOVE IT! Aside from drinks, they have tasty looking treats too. I tried the salted peanut butter cookie which was delicious! Peanuty, soft and not overly sweet. The mocha on ice was really good and as the cherry on top, they play good jams. P.S. I would come here again to try other options on the menu. I found this place on Yelp and I was very interested in the espresso with tonic water since it's unique. However, I did not like the taste of the two combined together. It was very bitter and I did not think the flavors mixed well together. The man at the front was super friendly and the place itself although small was clean and cute inside. The lattes themselves were $4.25 a piece. Best damn soy decaf cortado I've had in my life! It was sweet and creamy and strong. Served up by a super kind young woman and paired up with a tasty fresh butter croissant. The shop is tiny. A two-top. A four-top. And four stools on a window bar table. Minimal but warm. Still enough space to set up temporary camp. I went in to finish up a conference paper and it was perfect for getting some work done. Neutral indie tunes in the background, no loud espresso machines blowing up the air waves, and comfortable seating. The free wifi times out after an hour. And as far as I know there's no public restroom in here. Which means staying longer than an hour and a half would take some serious bladder control and primitivism. I saw that they had house-made chai so next time I need caffeination, this will definitely be my drink of choice. Go support them! read more

As a card-carrying, reusable tumbler-owning daily iced coffee connoisseur, I have three requirements to give anyone a 5 star rating. 1) Has to be a delicious cold brew. 2) Price has to be reasonable. 3) It has to be an enjoyable customer service interaction. (If I'm going to see someone every morning, pre caffeinated, might as well be pleasant, right?) My 'commute' to work is along Driggs avenue, and Crema has two main competitors for my daily business: Pie Corps and Variety. Pie Corps has 1 and 3 going, but they are the most expensive iced coffee on my route (plus I always end up wanting to buy their delicious pie. Too dangerous to do on the daily.) Variety has 2, but I find 3 to be lacking about 60% of the time, and sometimes their cold brew tastes watered down. Enter Crema. Their cold brew is delicious, their prices are reasonable, and the customer service is fantastic. Highly recommended. read more

But truly, I'm SO happy I live around the corner from this cute, top-notch coffee hsop with the best cold brew I've ever had, and delicious baked goods. I'm often not a fan of cold brews, especially when they're extremely strong or bitter, but Crema's is perfectly balanced. I've only ever passed by in the morning or on weekends, but there are a few tables and a window counter where I see people occasionally working or chatting. With so much high quality coffee in the neighborhood, it's hard for me to discern why Crema's Americano is the only one I crave above all others, but it is. Don't be deterred by the smaller cup size than most places, it's reasonably priced and worth it. The shop is also a nice, chill place with friendly staff. They mainly focus on the coffee, which may be one reason it's amazing, but also have some treats and takeaways. I bought a bottle of their cold brew and will amend my review as I expect it will be very good. Keep it up Crema, you're a great addition to the block. read more

It has two tables that both sit two people and a bar with four stools by the window. One thing to note is that they do not have a restroom for use for customers. Was looking for a coffeeshop to sit, study, and sip coffee that was outside of Manhattan. Greenpoint is a nice and less congested area of Brooklyn so I chose this top-rated yelp coffeeshop. My first impression of the place is that it's smaller than I expected. A lot smaller. It has 2-3 small tables on the side (for 2 people each) and window seating up to 3 people. It's more of the shop for grab and go coffee rather than stay and chill. The baristas are very nice and well accommodating (reminds me of a mom/pop shop). I ordered a regular drip coffee and was not disappointed. Very good quality coffee that is worth $2.50. They also have pastries that are delicious and worth trying. The pistachio pound cake is very good. They also have a fridge with smoothies and other beverages. They didn't have cold brew available when I was there. There is free wifi but you are limited to 1 hr - after that you are disconnected which is downside. There is also no bathroom so if you tend to pee a lot after drinking caffeine, I wouldn't stay. Overall, the reason I give it 4-stars is the quality of the coffee/pastries and the accommodating staff. Otherwise, not the type of place to stay and do work. read more
