A great option for young families on a warmer day. I stopped by Edgewater Beer Garden with some friends with the intention of enjoying a seemingly warmer Denver winter day, and we had no trouble finding seating on the patio. Maybe we were just brave, but with blankets and the outdoor heaters the space served well for a small get together. The inside, however, was PACKED. Was it something in the air that influenced every young family West of Denver to crave local brews and fried food options? Or is this just the typical crowd for this establishment? Either way, I don't believe myself to be the target market for this location. After a few hours, the children's birthday party and other large family gatherings occupying the warm interiors finally disappeared, and we were able to enjoy all the splendors of their heated former firehouse. The staff who was wandering the facilities to take empty trays and glasses from tables were exceptionally nice, the food options were as plentiful as the variety on tap, and the patio's ambience was exactly what we needed. Ticked all the boxes you'd expect of a suburban beer hall. Overall, not really my scene, as I don't have a golden doodle or a curious toddler, but if that sounds like an apt description for the company you keep, you'll enjoy this spot immensely.

Food is mediocre, environment is fantastic! Great to place to come and enjoy the patio with some friends or family!

Came here with a big group, and was pleased with our experience! The ambiance was that of a perfect summer patio, variety is the spice of life, and I love having plenty of it!! Beer, cocktails and menu of pretty much anything you want. Wings. Burgers. Fries. Poke bowls..... they got it! And it all tastes so good and fresh. You just walk right up and order what you want....they bring it out to you in a flash! Super dog friendly, I was bummed that I didn't bring my pups.... Would love to next time!

Fun atmosphere with bingo playing, we went on a Wednesday night so I'm assuming it's a weekly event. We had a party of 8 and it was hard to hear with all the noise but there was plenty of room for our party with bench seating and regular table seating available. You order your own drinks/food at the bar and you're given a buzzer for when your food is ready. Cocktails and draft beer available. All the staff were really nice and working hard. Automatic 18% gratuity on all checks. The food was good but nothing to write home about. Fitting for the crowd/atmosphere. Definitely a hipster spot but you're in the Sloan's Lake area so expected. Nice fire pits and heated seating outside. I'd like to go back to this spot in the summer to enjoy the massive patio.

Nice outdoor neighborhood space to enjoy a beer! They have a great happy hour and nice selection of beverages. The food looks good too, but just got beers today. I've been sleeping on this all day Monday happy hour!

Just came here for the first time with my dog. The happy hour menu was nice! I enjoyed the selection of food and drinks and the vibes and atmosphere are super nice! I loved the outside seating options and there were many areas with shade! The service and food is basically self serve and the food is a little pricey but it's good and typical with the scene of this being a brewery. I also love how they do an automatic 18% tip, makes it easy on the customer and helps support the workers who absolutely deserve that!

We went to Edgewater beer Garden on one of the nicest pre-spring days that one could ask for in Denver. Everyone was out on this day with their dogs and with their kids and most of all with their friends. We soaked up some sun on the patio and also had frozen drinks. Their frozen margaritas were wonderful shout out to the tajin rim. This is a great spot and even those packed there is so much seating so we were able to find a table.

This is such a cute, laid back spot for happy hour! And it was such a nice surprise that they have a lot of great, healthy dinner options too! Service was fast and friendly and there were plenty of seats available indoor and outdoor on a Wednesday evening.

The ambiance here is a 6/5 and the food is a 5/5. Get the bacon chicken wrap or the harissa chicken salad. The fries are awesome too! My favorite cocktail is the orange crush it's really really really good. The beers on draft are on rotation but they pick good ones and there's always a beer for everyone. Super nice place to get lunch and hangout at! We come here all the time, can you tell?

Solid place to visit when looking to meet up with others! I came here for a book club meeting and it was the perfect since it had food, drinks (and NA options!) along with ample indoor and outdoor seating. We were here in the dead of winter so didn't get to enjoy the outdoors but Edgewater Beer Garden is in my back pocket for the summer time! Friendly staff and gasp, private parking?? What's not to like about this place?

Caroline L.

Prompt, efficient service despite full tables (indoor and out) and a lengthy line upon arrival. This place seems to know how to deliver excellent customer service. A great spot for large groups, families with children and (weather appropriate) dogs outdoors.

There are moments when human beings believe they are on a quest for higher knowledge. And then…read morethere are moments when they are just heavy objects being pulled toward the earth by gravity, wanting nothing more than a chair, a cooked piece of dough, and a cold glass of beer to dull the edges of the evening. The remarkable thing is that the second quest often yields the greater joy. Five of us, all varying degrees of exhausted from a long day of sightseeing, stumbled into Odell Brewing's Sloan's Lake Brewhouse at the corner of 17th and Perry. We were not looking for a miracle. We were looking for a soft place to land. We ordered our dinner, then ventured up to the rooftop patio, which looks out over the lake. I'm told that when the entire surrounding landscape isn't engulfed in flames that you can clearly see the jagged spine of the Rocky Mountains from up there. It is a very fine place to sit while the planet rotates away from the sun. They have a second bar up there that is just as well stocked as the one on the main floor, and the space was filled with the pleasant, low-grade hum of people who were glad to be alive and not currently looking at a screen. The kitchen turns out scratch-made pizzas, so we ordered a Margherita and a Garden Harvest. You must understand something about the five of us: we come from Central and Northern New Jersey. In our part of the world, opinions about pizza are not casual preferences; they are inherited like family heirlooms or chronic joint pain. To say that a group of Jersey natives found these pizzas to be genuinely good is a small miracle of regional diplomacy. They weren't trying to imitate a New York slice. They were just honest, well-baked pies with fresh ingredients, which is an honorable thing for a pizza to be. Then there was the beer. According to their website, this location houses a 10-barrel pilot system where they brew experimental, small-batch R&D beers you can't get anywhere else. I believe them. The fruited sour we sampled was bright and lively, the sort of beer that makes you wonder why so many other breweries get the style completely wrong. The porter was equally memorable, rich, dark, and smooth, with deep roasted notes that made it far too easy to drink. It was a beautiful piece of liquid craftsmanship. The staff was fast and entirely devoid of the plastic, rehearsed cheer you so often find in corporate franchises. They brought things out before we had time to grow cranky, and they seemed genuinely glad we had wandered into their corner of Denver. We had expected a purely transactional exchange of money for calories before going to sleep. Instead, we got a rooftop at dusk, exceptional beer, and the sudden, sweet realization that the day had ended exactly as it should. People are strange, fragile creatures, but occasionally we stumble into the right table at the right time.

I ordered their chinola margarita, which was delicious and not too sweet, but the star of the evening for me was their specialty Smoky Blackberry Paloma. A group of 20 of us met here for lunch, and it was a smooth process, from parking to ordering! There was plenty of metered street parking, and when you enter, there are 2 counters: one for food and another for drinks. I am only giving it 4 stars because I felt like the food options were a tad limited. A few burgers, a few sandwiches, and a few salads/bowls (with a random poke bowl thrown in there?). It kind of gave me a sense of no cohesion to the menu. Nevertheless, the vibes are comfortable, and I would go back!

The beer selection was wonderful--some of the best IPAs around! I was there with a large party and I believe we had the entire place reserved. My problem was with the bartender. I sat at the bar and I watched him for probably an hour and a half. He was fine to me. However, to other people in our group, he was outright rude. And I don't mean "there was possibly a misunderstanding here." I mean rude. In his defense, It was not clear where people could order. He was serving people from all sides. I know that's difficult. I was a bartender for 10 years. However, he was consistently RUDE to several people in our group on several different occasions. I literally saw this. He was very abrupt and unfriendly. And if you didn't get that treatment, you were ignored. One of my friends tried to order a beer when she arrived. She was ignored for close to 20 minutes. She eventually gave up and left. Quite a few people. went with her back to the hotel where they could actually have a drink. I'll add that we were actually a pretty chill group. Mostly middle-aged people with tech backgrounds. No one deserved the treatment they received. Maybe he did not want to work that night. Maybe someone called in sick. Maybe he was forced to. I'm not sure. But it really left a very poor impression on a whole lot of people that evening.
