So this is my second time at this restaurant and it's literally becoming one of my favorites anytime I'm visiting Augusta, Georgia. I was able to have their Sunday brunch and it was absolutely delicious. I love that the food was in a separate space than where you sat so it didn't cause any congestion. They also had a good variety of hot and fresh food. The mac & cheese is delicious and creamy, the greens had great flavor, and the biscuits and gravy were perfect. They also had made to order omelettes, which were huge along with French toast and a carving station. The dining room is always great and we had extra friendly service. I also got a mimosa which were amazing as well. This is one of the top places I would recommend anybody go to.

Went here to celebrate my aunts birthday, party of five. We had a reservation and we were seated immediately but the place wasn't busy. They were anticipating a twenty person table though! We ordered the burnt ends to start and boyyyyy were they delicious! IDK what the sauce was but bottle it! The nuts were pointless though, as well as the rabbit food on the plate. I ordered the salmon entree and it was perfect but I'd never been asked how I wanted my salmon cooked but well done I guess lol. Katelyn our waitress was a peach! She was kind and so helpful. My aunts friend had made a cake and she put it in the back to keep it cool for us until we were ready for it. They overcooked a steak but redid it! Otherwise, we had no complaints. Great place, linked to the school so I'm pretty sure most of the staff are students. I'd definitely go back!

From the moment we walked in it felt like a fine dining experience. Not your average brunch. No sir! Starting with our drinks, we both had coffee-which I would return for the coffee alone! It was bold, curious, mysterious and honestly had me asking for the name of the coffee before I left! We had a server in training, so two servers! Both were outstanding! Quick to refill our drinks and remove plates that were empty. The food.....let me just say I not only spoke with management, I also was able to speak with the head chef to give my praise. I am not one to sing false praise, trust me. When I tell you I have never, ever, had a brunch as delicious as his!!! I am a French toast connoisseur, and his was a 12/10! There was not one bite of food that wasn't outstanding. I was truly impressed, with his creativity and his attention to detail because it shined like a diamond from the front of house all the way down to the sweet lady filling the cakes when I was taking my pictures for this review! "Let me get it all full and pretty now before you get those pictures!" I mean, if she wasn't just the sweetest thing, and took 100% pride in her work. Same with the gentleman working the omelet station. He came in the day before to prep the fish (which is a long day of work!) The love they put into each dish truly shines through effortlessly! With permission, personally, I would suggest they rename their Sunday Brunch to "Soul-filled Sunday Brunch" because #1 I left ready to go to sleep! #2 I had a religious experienced during that meal, in blessings and dining I have only ever had at Church Potlucks! #3 It elevated some fancy and some common foods to such heights, I was expect to be hearing gospel music while I ate! #4 Personally, I hope heaven's banquet table is much like today's-full of love, flavor and most importantly-community! Everyone from other diners enjoying their brunch to servers, sous chefs to the top man himself-not one person wasn't smiling from ear to ear. It's been near a decade since I've seen that many smiling people all in one place! While I will have to limit how often I come for Brunch lest my clothes start shrinking! Edgar's by far, takes the trophy for elevated dining experiences in Augusta, Ga! Best of all, a percentage of all their sales goes back directly into Helms College (located in the same shopping center.) Helms college offers hands-on education in culinary arts, health services, and industrial trades like HVAC/R. Keep up the amazing work, I eagerly look forward to dining with you again!

Dessert included in brunch is extensive. This is just a few.

We had a table of 15 and this was no problem for this amazing group of Chefs and students. The food was amazing, fresh, and played well. It is wonderful to know that everything you purchase here goes back into the college to provide training programs for the community. The area has been refreshed and is very clean!

I visited last Friday with a few coworkers. The service and most of the food was fantastic as usual. I was a bit disappointed that my steak didn't taste great. It had an "off" taste to it. Due to time restraints on our evening, I only ate half and took the rest home and fixed it to my liking on my stovetop. I didn't make a fuss about it but did let someone know. I hope the next time it's better. I've had the New York Strip several times and they've even made it at lunch when I visited although it's a dinner menu. This was the first time it tasted off. The atmosphere of the place is always pleasant and not too rowdy.

Amazing I did not know they were affiliated with Goodwill. Food is great. Atmosphere is good just wish they offered more non-meat products.

However, when it comes to the main event, the experience can be a bit of a mixed bag. The marbled brisket, while promising in cut, fell short on execution. Served noticeably lacking in heat, the meat suffered in texture, resulting in several sections that were tough and required far more chewing than proper low-and-slow barbecue ever should. Fortunately, the sides completely saved the plate. The potato salad was well-balanced and creamy, and the baked beans packed rich, hearty flavor. To cap it off, the signature cornbread muffins--served as two bite-sized, sweet delights--were absolute perfection and easily the highlight of the meal. While the brisket needs better temperature control and tenderness to justify a return for the smoked meats, Jim 'N Nick's still delivers if you're there for top-tier sides and legendary cornbread.

Server was lovely and everything arrived in a very reasonable amount of time. Food was a 3. No more. The shrimp and grits were really a big miss. I read where it said casserole and I was fully expecting a new (for me) twist on shrimp and grits - but it was not good. Dry baked grits with maybe three shrimp total and a few tiny piece of crab. No sauce, no cheese on top - nothing. Was very very odd indeed - more like cornbread or spoon bread with zero flavor. My husband ordered a steak and it was good, so there was some redemption there. I will say, one major restaurant pet peeve for me is when the first thing you smell when you open the door is air freshener. The bathrooms are right by the door and they have a fake cherry air freshener smell pumping out from them. So that's what you get hit with when you walk in. I don't know the solution to this type of layout, but strong air freshener isn't it.

Rae's Coastal Cafe is my usual first stop restaurant for some scrumptious vittles south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Our Jerk chicken wings were a great start for our first dinner on this adventure. Our (us three golfers) salads were good. Our crab cakes were very good! Our chocolate pudding pie was great. My three fingers of Makers Mark was excellent. We sat outside by their lake where the peace and quiet were throughly enjoyed. Our waitress was friendly and helpful choosing the combinations that made this dinner delightful.
