The food is good. When we arrived, the actual indoor restaurant had no staff or no activity, so we were confused as to why our reservation would be allowed when they was no one there or great us. We later found out we needed to check in at the bar and then head up to the outdoor rooftop option, as that information would've been more ideal to receive ahead of time. The rooftop is most pleasant with life music on Saturdays from 12 noon to 4 p.m. with a full bar and dancing. The food was delicious, served hot, appropriately cooked, and nicely flavored. This is one of Augusta's/North Augusta's best kept secrets. It pretty awesome here.

The collards were perfectly seasoned-spicy and not sweet. I ordered the bison medium rare-nailed it. I was not a fan of the sweet potatoes-cold when they came out and blah tasting. The CHEESECAKE was the star. Well done. ...and service was spot on. When the rest of Augusta shut down for the snow, you guys were open. I was super grateful and impressed by the service.

I started with the fried green tomatoes. They were not good at all in comparison to any other restaurant. They ran out of the crab stuffed lobster so I went with the 12oz bison that seemed more like 6 oz and wasn't seasoned well. The greens that came with it weren't good and the yams were decent. The Parmesan truffle fries were good, but I was not at all pleased with the food. Service was good

Had the pleasure of enjoying good company with a little bite to eat. The Roof Top experience is worth every minute.

Located in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in North August this restaurant provide wood fire cuisine that are unique and delicious. Great service from the host to our waitress and the cook who introduced himself (forget his name ) and invited us up to the rooftop bar for a nightcap. A very romantic dining room ambiance. The food was absolutely amazing. Very pricey but worth the treat.

The food, service and drinks are all top notch here. It's a southern style steakhouse, lots of local flair on the menu.

I tried brunch here years ago and wasn't too impressed so was a little hesitant when friends invited us out to dinner here. I'm happy to report or dinner experience was much better! But we were seated quickly and though the restaurant is an open space I felt like we were place far enough away from others for privacy. I like the minimalist style of the restaurant and service was fairly quick considering we had a large party and it being a Friday night. I wasn't super impressed with the beet salad. The beets tasted fine I just thought they were canned beets on a plate with garnishes. I loved the scallops, they were almost perfectly seared just missing the crispy top but otherwise perfectly seasoned and very good with the carrot rice underneath. The beef short rib was flavorful and tender with a nice sauce that paired well and didn't distract from the rib. Mashed potatoes were a good choice of side to balance out the richness. Overall I would try dinner again.

If you're looking for a quiet romantic spot with a rooftop bar that has incredible views of the city, put this one on your list. Looking for your next date night location? Here ya go! Wonderful atmosphere, beautiful views, and opulent menu options! The quiet, secluded setting inside the luxurious hotel is hard to match anywhere else in North Augusta! Now let's talk about the service... I mean... it was incredible! Quick, happy, helpful, patient, and attentive. And! and I'm not making this up... one of the servers even helped settle down a crying baby! I've never seen service like that before! 4/5 only because it IS a little pricey, but I guess that's to be expected at a place like this. You don't come to a place like this trying to pinch pennies. So save up, put on your good shirt, and treat yourself to an incredible experience!

I came here to celebrate my birthday and it was pretty good. The venue is beautiful and the vibe was pretty chill. I ordered the lamb chops, spinach dip, and oysters and they were delicious. I just wish the lamb jobs were available as a main entree instead of a small plate. My husband ordered the ribeye and he said it was ok. It was seasoned really well but the quality of the meat was probably choice instead of prime. Overall, this place is great and I would definitely come back.

Salt and Marrow 6 definitely a premiere, upscale restaurant located in North Augusta, SC. Professional staff ready to greet you with a smile. Full bar on premise, outside of restaurant in Crowne Plaza Hotel. Wait staff, great. Host staff, great. Bartender, just one present, and he was overwhelmed. Food was good. I had the Tomahawk Porkchop. I was disappointed. When you throw the name Tomahawk on a dish, your expectations go high. While the porch was cooked to temperature, medium, it was underwhelming. The sides were great. For dessert, I had the strawberry cake. The cake was underwhelming as well. The icing on the cake was sweating. I literally bit into 3 different temps throughout the cake. Most unusual. I like the staff, location l, and restaurant overall. Some items did not check the box.

It's been a few years since I've been to Salt and Marrow and wasn't super impressed at that time. We went as a fairly large group on a Friday night and we were seated promptly (we did have reservations and it was pretty early....5ish) and they did accommodate our extra guests we added last minute. We were seated away from other guests. The decor was more of the minimalistic style. I ordered the salad and scallops. The salad was a large portion and had a good dressing. It was refreshing. Scallops were nicely seared.

This was my second time at Salt + Marrow Kitchen. It will probably be my last. The aesthetic is there & service was great but the food lacks. The first time I attended Salt + Marrow Kitchen it was Masters Week 2023 but I wanted a fair review so I always said I'd come back. This time I went to a reserved birthday dinner. Our server for about a party of 12 people was Lorraine. She was great! She knew the menu, orders were correctly placed & she was also very hospitable. I ordered the Roasted chicken with collard greens & mac + cheese. Our food came out pretty roomy temperature to warm, which is also the experience I had on my first visit with a much smaller party. The birthday girl received complimentary champagne & we got a random charcuterie board which was great! After shared plates & sampling overall I'd give a 6.5/10. I feel the main dishes needs more flavor but very cute for aesthetics and also just drinks/charcuterie.

We made a reservation on open table and arrived at the Crown Plaza shortly after dusk. The front of the restaurant has the prettiest lighted domes with tables to eat outside. Even though they looked to be heated, I was too cold to try this time. Inside has a warm easy vibe, with a view of the grill. The staff was pleasant and attentive. We started with the scallops small plate and while the scallops were good and well seasoned the rice was undercooked and crunchy. The kitchen sold out of the pork tomahawk on Friday night so we ordered the short rib and the 6 oz filet with the four cheese Mac and cheese. The short rib with potatoes was a fabulous choice. The meat was fork tender and the potatoes were an excellent side. The filet was not so good. First it was served in a bowl and was overcooked for a medium request temp. The mac and cheese was okay, I think I would have preferred a more creamy cheese sauce. From a nearby table I saw the wings that looked and smelled delicious. I think I would return to try the tomahawk and give the dome/ cocoon outside a try. I also saw the Cornish hen which also looked great.

If you've never been there, they will start you out with samples of all of their lemonade (which all of them are incredibly flavorful) and you'll inevitably get one because it's THAT good. The staff comes with recommendations to help you navigate the menu and they are so attentive and helpful. I'd go as far to say that they had some of the best service in Augusta. Now to the food, 10/10 I could not recommend them enough. I've had the honey lemon pepper wings and the loyalty platter. And it was so good. The honey lemon pepper wings were full of deep flavor and they give you at-least 10 wings with the plate. The steak and shrimp are the best seasoned meats I've ever had at a restaurant. I've also had a few nibbles of their seafood and ‍. Then when you're ready for dessert, don't worry you get samples too. The blue velvet is my favorite but all of them are award winning so you can't go wrong when it comes to Nattas sweet treats. Over all, great experience, great people, and great place. Get out and support local, it'll never disappoint. P.S. if you think it's pricey, you're wrong. You get what you pay for here. You get no less than two meals out of one plate.

I made a Southern Palmer with their Peach Tea and Unsweetened Ice Tea 1/2 & 1/2 of both mixed together, was the perfect beverage to pair with the Honor Platter. I finished the honorable meal with The Strawberry Velvet Cake Brownie & Red Velvet Brownie dessert pairing. The service from when I stepped in, while eating and leaving was exceptional, inviting and very pleasant. Shurell was fabulous, vibrant and a fresh of breath air. But South Carolina has the best BBQ of all the southern states when you can find the right stuff. BBQ Barn is the right stuff. They've got pulled pork with quality sauces, hash similar to what I make myself (therefore excellent), delicious southern sides, sweet (and unsweet) tea, various other meats (their burnt ends are yum!) and some desserts that look great but I haven't tried yet. They also aren't a buffet style restaurant which is a great thing in my opinion. They have a good amount of seating but I don't think they'll fit lots of large groups so keep that in mind. They do have a drive thru and you can order food to go. Unfortunately, they are also like other good BBQ places in their limited hours; they are only open Wednesday-Saturday each week so they can't be Sunday dinner or Monday emergency dinner unless you plan well ahead. The staff are nice and the restaurant is always clean enough. When we aren't making our own barbecue, we are probably getting barbecue from BBQ Barn (or the only other good bbq spot in the CSRA).

I also can't speak highly enough if the sauces. I am a big fan of the spicy georgia red bbq sauce. The gold is also great, just a mustard flavor. I'm tempted to buy a bottle the next time I visit. My recommendation - Come visit on a warm day. Order a platter of food (2 meats will give you plenty of leftovers) and a slice of cake. Sit at the outside tables and enjoy. Warm, savory, and perfectly balanced, it felt like true comfort food done right. It also came with a fresh side salad and great dressing that honestly could have been a meal on its own. My boys ordered the chicken quesadilla and nachos, and both were big wins. The quesadilla was crispy and cheesy. The nachos were fully loaded with seasoned beef, black beans, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, plus salsa and ranch on the side. The portions were generous and the flavors were excellent. Then came the desserts. We tried chocolate cake, carrot cake, and red velvet cake. We ordered half slices and they were still huge. Every single one was incredible. The red velvet and carrot cake were made with real cream cheese frosting. The carrot cake was rich and moist. The chocolate cake was deeply decadent. Pairing the carrot cake with a cup of their coffee was the perfect finish. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and exactly what you want with dessert. We were also lucky enough to be taken care of by Reagan, who was incredibly kind, beautifully stylish, and so helpful with my boys and me. She gave great recommendations on dishes and portion sizes.
