The food is good. When we arrived, the actual indoor restaurant had no staff or no activity, so we were confused as to why our reservation would be allowed when they was no one there or great us. We later found out we needed to check in at the bar and then head up to the outdoor rooftop option, as that information would've been more ideal to receive ahead of time. The rooftop is most pleasant with life music on Saturdays from 12 noon to 4 p.m. with a full bar and dancing. The food was delicious, served hot, appropriately cooked, and nicely flavored. This is one of Augusta's/North Augusta's best kept secrets. It pretty awesome here.

This was a big valentines group gathering and was all our first time here. Well it was beautiful coming in and nice ambiance. We had to wait some past our reservation. We sat in a private room which was nice until the smoke started filling the room. It was so smokey and our eyes were all burning. We tried opening the door to help ventilate it which did help but you could see the smoke everywhere. The ventilation system there is horrible. The food arrived somewhat cold sadly. It would've been a perfect dinner if it was hot especially since I got the lobster and shrimp. We felt bad our waitress who had to bring the cart of food 4 times with no help like usually see with big parties. The smoke irritated me so much I had to keep putting eye drops because they were irritated and stinging. I also did not like that you are leaving this high fine dining expensive place like smoke. It's like I was at a bonfire. My hair and clothes smell like smoke. I wouldn't come back just because of the smoke.

The collards were perfectly seasoned-spicy and not sweet. I ordered the bison medium rare-nailed it. I was not a fan of the sweet potatoes-cold when they came out and blah tasting. The CHEESECAKE was the star. Well done. ...and service was spot on. When the rest of Augusta shut down for the snow, you guys were open. I was super grateful and impressed by the service.

I started with the fried green tomatoes. They were not good at all in comparison to any other restaurant. They ran out of the crab stuffed lobster so I went with the 12oz bison that seemed more like 6 oz and wasn't seasoned well. The greens that came with it weren't good and the yams were decent. The Parmesan truffle fries were good, but I was not at all pleased with the food. Service was good

Had the pleasure of enjoying good company with a little bite to eat. The Roof Top experience is worth every minute.

Located in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in North August this restaurant provide wood fire cuisine that are unique and delicious. Great service from the host to our waitress and the cook who introduced himself (forget his name ) and invited us up to the rooftop bar for a nightcap. A very romantic dining room ambiance. The food was absolutely amazing. Very pricey but worth the treat.

The food, service and drinks are all top notch here. It's a southern style steakhouse, lots of local flair on the menu.

I tried brunch here years ago and wasn't too impressed so was a little hesitant when friends invited us out to dinner here. I'm happy to report or dinner experience was much better! But we were seated quickly and though the restaurant is an open space I felt like we were place far enough away from others for privacy. I like the minimalist style of the restaurant and service was fairly quick considering we had a large party and it being a Friday night. I wasn't super impressed with the beet salad. The beets tasted fine I just thought they were canned beets on a plate with garnishes. I loved the scallops, they were almost perfectly seared just missing the crispy top but otherwise perfectly seasoned and very good with the carrot rice underneath. The beef short rib was flavorful and tender with a nice sauce that paired well and didn't distract from the rib. Mashed potatoes were a good choice of side to balance out the richness. Overall I would try dinner again.

If you're looking for a quiet romantic spot with a rooftop bar that has incredible views of the city, put this one on your list. Looking for your next date night location? Here ya go! Wonderful atmosphere, beautiful views, and opulent menu options! The quiet, secluded setting inside the luxurious hotel is hard to match anywhere else in North Augusta! Now let's talk about the service... I mean... it was incredible! Quick, happy, helpful, patient, and attentive. And! and I'm not making this up... one of the servers even helped settle down a crying baby! I've never seen service like that before! 4/5 only because it IS a little pricey, but I guess that's to be expected at a place like this. You don't come to a place like this trying to pinch pennies. So save up, put on your good shirt, and treat yourself to an incredible experience!

I came here to celebrate my birthday and it was pretty good. The venue is beautiful and the vibe was pretty chill. I ordered the lamb chops, spinach dip, and oysters and they were delicious. I just wish the lamb jobs were available as a main entree instead of a small plate. My husband ordered the ribeye and he said it was ok. It was seasoned really well but the quality of the meat was probably choice instead of prime. Overall, this place is great and I would definitely come back.

Salt and Marrow 6 definitely a premiere, upscale restaurant located in North Augusta, SC. Professional staff ready to greet you with a smile. Full bar on premise, outside of restaurant in Crowne Plaza Hotel. Wait staff, great. Host staff, great. Bartender, just one present, and he was overwhelmed. Food was good. I had the Tomahawk Porkchop. I was disappointed. When you throw the name Tomahawk on a dish, your expectations go high. While the porch was cooked to temperature, medium, it was underwhelming. The sides were great. For dessert, I had the strawberry cake. The cake was underwhelming as well. The icing on the cake was sweating. I literally bit into 3 different temps throughout the cake. Most unusual. I like the staff, location l, and restaurant overall. Some items did not check the box.

It's been a few years since I've been to Salt and Marrow and wasn't super impressed at that time. We went as a fairly large group on a Friday night and we were seated promptly (we did have reservations and it was pretty early....5ish) and they did accommodate our extra guests we added last minute. We were seated away from other guests. The decor was more of the minimalistic style. I ordered the salad and scallops. The salad was a large portion and had a good dressing. It was refreshing. Scallops were nicely seared.

While in town for the weekend my husband and I wanted brunch somewhere unique to Augusta instead of another chain restaurant, and after scrolling Yelp and seeing all the glowing reviews we decided to give this Black owned, family operated spot a try. I noticed online that you can make a reservation for a $20 fee that gets deducted from your check. At first I was a little surprised, but after seeing how busy this place is, it makes total sense. We decided to roll the dice without a reservation anyway. When we arrived on a Saturday morning there were already several people waiting outside. There isn't really an indoor waiting area, so the hospitable hostess took my name and phone number and kindly asked us to wait outside. Later I noticed the sign explaining the process. She quoted us a 40-minute wait, but thankfully we were seated in about half that time. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy with a classic diner feel complete with counter seating and booths. The ambiance is casual and welcoming. If you have a larger party, there are a couple of outdoor tables that appear to accommodate around six people, but personally I think this spot is best enjoyed with a smaller group. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly despite the busy brunch crowd. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles while I went with the Garden City breakfast bowl loaded with veggies and home fries plus a salmon croquette on the side. Every single thing tasted homemade and full of flavor. This is what Southern comfort food is supposed to taste like. My husband said the chicken was seasoned well and fried perfectly, and the waffle paired with it beautifully. My breakfast bowl reminded me of the kind of breakfast my grandma used to make, comforting, flavorful, and cooked with care. Portion sizes were just right,  enough to leave satisfied without feeling miserable afterward. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. Stellar customer service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. If I ever find myself back in Augusta, this will absolutely be one of my repeat stops.

It was our first time there since we were visiting from out of town so they gave us a few recommendations and we ordered our food. We then sat down at a table since it was self seating. We didn't get our waters until after our food was served which is fine I understand they get busy. The food didn't take too long. We ordered 3 dishes. The Down home, the banana nut, and an omelet with turkey sausage and veggies. Our server came to our table and served us 3 dishes. Which dish was which was not explained to us and we thought all our food was out already because after she served us she said "does everything look good" or something along those lines. The banana nut was obvious but we weren't sure what was the omelet or the down home because there was a small side of an omelet waffle which was just egg. We didn't know if any of the dishes came with a side of an egg omelet or if the dish was served as a mistake. I then bring the small omelet dish to our server. I asked what the item was or it was included in what we order and she looked at the dish and took it away and brought it back to the kitchen. She then took a look at our receipt and didn't really say anything or explained to us what the small side of egg waffle was. Didn't answer any of my questions and I never saw that small side of egg waffle again. Shortly after then our down home dish was served to us. It was just a confusing situation that I wish could've been handled better by communicating with us. As for the food, the pictures online are a bit misleading and on the expensive side for the quality. All the photos were taken right after it was served to us. I'd only order the omelet again. A bit lacking with the ingredients and needs sauce. The down home was too doughy for my liking and it's a mix of salty and sweet from the batter and ingredients. The banana nut it was very crispy and came with powdered sugar and a side of the glaze. I didn't taste much banana or saw any nuts on/in the waffle.

Yelp nudged us toward New Moon Cafe, and while the signage from the street is minimal enough that we almost walked past it, we eventually found our way inside and were glad we did. At 12:30 on a Saturday the timing worked in our favor. We stepped right up to the counter with no queue at all, placed our order, and settled in. By the time our food arrived about fifteen minutes later, the line had grown to the point where people were waiting nearly that long just to order, which gave the whole place that lively, slightly chaotic weekend energy without ever feeling rushed. Mrs. K chose the smoked salmon bagel, which came out panini pressed, a small twist on a classic that she enjoyed. I am still keeping things keto, so the chef's salad with blue cheese was exactly what I needed, a generous portion that felt balanced and satisfying without pushing me off track. They offer plenty of coffee drinks and smoothie combinations, but we kept things simple and were perfectly happy with our choices. There is outdoor seating if that is your preference, and the whole experience had that relaxed, local charm that makes Augusta lunches feel unhurried even when the dining room is filling up around you. Between the playground right next door, open outdoor seating, and nearby walking trails, it seemed like the perfect road trip pitstop for our stir-crazy kids (and parents). Bonus: we saw they had drinks and a promising-looking menu. Total win, right? Unfortunately, we rolled in an hour before opening--my fault for not checking the hours. That would've been a disaster since my 4-year-old and I were both doing the "I need to pee" dance, but thankfully, the kind kitchen staff let us in to use the restroom while they prepped. We decided to hang around and wait for them to open, and honestly, the outdoor space made it easy to kill an hour. The kids ran around, we played on the playground, and when a sudden downpour rolled in, we took cover under their patio and even got to play a round of giant Connect 4. By the time 4:00 rolled around, we were wet, hungry, and ready to eat. And then it got awkward. We rushed inside excitedly... only to be met with a trio of staff who looked just as confused by us as we were by the vibe. No one greeted us, no host stand, just a blank stare until someone finally said we could sit anywhere. So we awkwardly claimed a table and tried to shake off the weird energy. Our server came over soon after, and we placed our order. I got the drink special--a gin Paloma--which was fine, nothing remarkable. We started with fried pickles (solid but unmemorable), and then moved on to our mains: cheese pitas for the girls, hot honey chicken sliders with sweet potato fries for me, and fish and chips for my husband. Sadly, things went downhill from there. My chicken sliders were just basic chicken tenders on toasted buns. The goat cheese added a little something, but the hot honey was nowhere to be found. The sweet potato fries were floppy and undercooked. The girls' cheese pita was... well, exactly what the menu said: pita with melted cheese. But it somehow still felt a little sad. The worst offender? The fish and chips. The fish was soggy, and the breading slid off like it was trying to escape the plate. The potato wedges were also undercooked. My husband ended up sending it back and opting for the warm chocolate brownie instead. The brownie was better than the fish--barely--but it was clearly just a microwaved store-bought dessert with a drizzle of syrup. In the end, the best part of our visit wasn't the food--it was the playground, the covered patio, and the generosity of the kitchen staff who let us in before opening. We were grateful for the rest stop, but the restaurant itself fell way short of expectations. for the family-friendly location and outdoor amenities for the kind kitchen staff and covered patio with games Points off for food quality (main dishes and dessert mostly disappointing) for the awkward service vibe at opening for lack of value and underwhelming execution If they improved food execution and tightened up the front-of-house experience, this place could easily be a 4-star gem for families on the go. As it stands, it's a pretty setting with subpar substance.
