    Egg and veggie breakfast wrap
    Ophelia M.

Stopped by New Moon Cafe for some breakfast, coffee, and a spot to get a little work done. Happy to report it's great for all three. For my breakfast, I ordered their egg and veggie wrap. It was ample without being overwhelming and was a tasty combination of scrambled eggs and sauteed peppers and onions with a nice sprinkling of fresh green onions as well. They asked if I'd like salsa, hot sauce, or sour cream on the side. I opted for sour cream, which was a great pairing. For my coffee, I got one of their holiday lattes. It was a bit sweeter than I prefer, but what can you really expect--it's a holiday latte! It was a tasty treat. It's an order at the counter and they'll call out your coffee situation. If you're dining in, they do bring your food to your table. The service is kind and the dining room is quirky and colorful. Get to it!

There is a reason this place is busy most days! Stopped in today for a vanilla iced latte as well as a bacon egg and cheese bagel. The latte is very refreshing, not too sweet or bitter. Definitely a good balance. The bagel hit the spot of what I needed for my Saturday morning. Four stars just due to the flow of everything however very understandable given how busy they were. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, very eclectic atmosphere and environment overall

Steak egg and pimento cheese burrito

We stopped by for breakfast right after they opened. There were just a few people there when we arrived but otherwise pretty cozy and quiet. We got the unicorn (white chocolate & raspberry) iced latte, cookie butter nitro brew, steak egg and pimento cheese burrito, and bacon egg and cheese bagel. The unicorn latte was DELISH!! The cookie butter nitro was okay. It really didn't taste like cookie butter, but more just like plain nitro brew. The steak egg and cheese burrito had great flavor, I just wish the meat to egg ratio was a little more balanced. There was a ton of eggs and not a lot of meat. Bacon egg and cheese bagel was good as well. Overall a great experience! Will definitely be back.

Stopped in for a quick bite while nearby. Ordered the avocado toast, wasn't a huge fan. The egg was cold, the bread didn't taste fresh, & it took forever to come out. The staff was very kind, and the atmosphere was unique! The wall was filled with local artist's work that could be purchased. Pricing was pretty average for the area. Hoping to come back again to try the coffee & something different.

Service can be hit or miss depending on the staff. I've been here several times. A great breakfast selection for coffee and morning smoothies. My go-to is the "Green Monster." During covid, pre-vaccine. The line in the White building got long during breakfast hours. Moving back into the building and having a full staff helps with the wait time. Plenty of available outdoor seating. I order the quinoa hashbrowns today and was surprised that the staff told me it was not on the menu today since they forgot to make it. The menu has written on a large chalkboard that says they have quinoa hashbrowns. Service can be hit or miss depending on the number of employees they have available. Food is still top-notch when available. Service feels like a a restaurant run by employees in their job after school.

Good food, nice people, great atmosphere. The chocolate chip and banana nut muffins were great. The grits is one of the bests I have ever had.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning on our way out of town. We loved the vibe inside - very fun and artsy. We both got a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, adding cheese and a meat (bacon for me, turkey sausage for my wife). The bagels were superb - best we've had in a long time. Originally we were going to take it to go, but the eggs were scrambled and pretty messy so we decided to eat them there. We would have preferred a fried egg just to make them easier to eat. We definitely preferred the bacon over the turkey sausage. I also got a blueberry croissant. It was fine, it also had an icing filling with the blueberries. But it was a bit underbaked, I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would definitely return for the bagels and the vibe. The cinnamon rolls looked bomb as well, will definitely try one of those next time.

Really slow service, food was cheap but not that good, and their "fancy" coffee tastes like it's full of Coffeemate. Big disappointment.

Brunch is serious business in Augusta and after one visit to The Brunch House of Augusta I…read morecompletely understand why this place stays packed. While in town for the weekend my husband and I wanted brunch somewhere unique to Augusta instead of another chain restaurant, and after scrolling Yelp and seeing all the glowing reviews we decided to give this Black owned, family operated spot a try. I noticed online that you can make a reservation for a $20 fee that gets deducted from your check. At first I was a little surprised, but after seeing how busy this place is, it makes total sense. We decided to roll the dice without a reservation anyway. When we arrived on a Saturday morning there were already several people waiting outside. There isn't really an indoor waiting area, so the hospitable hostess took my name and phone number and kindly asked us to wait outside. Later I noticed the sign explaining the process. She quoted us a 40-minute wait, but thankfully we were seated in about half that time. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy with a classic diner feel complete with counter seating and booths. The ambiance is casual and welcoming. If you have a larger party, there are a couple of outdoor tables that appear to accommodate around six people, but personally I think this spot is best enjoyed with a smaller group. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly despite the busy brunch crowd. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles while I went with the Garden City breakfast bowl loaded with veggies and home fries plus a salmon croquette on the side. Every single thing tasted homemade and full of flavor. This is what Southern comfort food is supposed to taste like. My husband said the chicken was seasoned well and fried perfectly, and the waffle paired with it beautifully. My breakfast bowl reminded me of the kind of breakfast my grandma used to make, comforting, flavorful, and cooked with care. Portion sizes were just right,  enough to leave satisfied without feeling miserable afterward. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. Stellar customer service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. If I ever find myself back in Augusta, this will absolutely be one of my repeat stops.

The valet folks were friendly, everybody smiled, and for a moment I thought we might have stumbled onto one of those places where Southern hospitality still gets practiced instead of just printed on brochures. The inn itself has that old-school charm. The front porch alone looks like it has stories to tell, and most of them are probably better than the ones you'll hear at the average chain hotel breakfast buffet. The room was nice enough, though getting to it felt a little like a low-impact obstacle course. After stepping off the elevator, there were three steps to negotiate before reaching the room. No big deal. I shuffled the luggage and carried on. Then I discovered the room itself was split-level, complete with three more steps. That arrangement seemed perfectly reasonable until the 3 a.m. trip to the bathroom, when those same steps suddenly became an adventure sport. One suggestion: every room ought to have a proper nightstand and a place to charge the electronic gadgets that have become attached to modern Americans like an extra limb. We may not all travel with a typewriter anymore, but most of us carry enough electronics to launch a small satellite. Things got a little more interesting when hunger arrived. We tried to make restaurant reservations through the Resy link on the hotel's website. No luck. The restaurant wasn't listed. Fine. Technology fails. It happens. So I called the restaurant. No answer. Turns out the restaurant number appears to be the same as the front desk. I left a message and waited about 45 minutes for a callback. Never got one. Again, no big deal. DoorDash and an Indian restaurant came to the rescue. While pondering the mystery of the missing callback, I found myself staring out the window. That's when I noticed the paint splatters and streaks all over the glass. Now, I don't know who handles maintenance around there, but somebody needs to explain that painting a window and cleaning a window are two entirely different activities. And that's really the story of the Partridge Inn. Nice people. Pleasant room. Plenty of charm. But charm can only carry you so far when attention to detail keeps missing the bus. The little things matter because they add up. The unanswered phone, the broken reservation link, the paint on the windows, the awkward room layout--they're all small by themselves. Together, they're enough to make me appreciate the stay but probably not enough to make me come back for another one.

Our server was incredibly sweet, and we felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. Because every dish is made from scratch to ensure freshness, be prepared for a bit of a wait. We also had to make some adjustments to our initial order because a few items were unavailable, but we still ended up with a solid meal. My girlfriend had the turkey bacon, the COE cakes (which are delicious hash browns), and the classic sweet waffles. I went with the beef quesadilla and the classic lemonade, which comes with free refills. The quesadilla was a great choice and the hash browns were very tasty. The waffle had a great flavor and was nice and soft, though it was served a bit cold. One thing to keep in mind is the presentation; the food is served on plastic plates with plastic silverware. While we tried not to let that affect our judgment since we were there for the food, presentation does eventually matter. Also, the temperature inside was a little warmer than I'd like--it was about 58 degrees outside, but that coolness definitely didn't translate to the dining room. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but it was noticeable. The most important thing to know before you go is that they only accept cash tips. It's a bit of a strange policy in this day and age since most people don't carry cash, especially when you're already using plasticware for the meal. They do have CashApp if you think to ask, but it's easy to forget if you aren't prepared. I really hope the staff is being taken care of if people forget their cash! Overall, the food was good, the service was great, and I didn't feel like my time was wasted. It's a nice local spot for a fresh, handmade breakfast

We finished with the Chocolate Cheesecake, and I would highly recommend it if you love chocolate deserts; very rich. Outdoor seating was quite nice here, and the interior decoration was very beautiful, but the exterior seating had duct tape, and some of the tables looked a bit word down and weathered. The seating looks were all over the place too, with some wood tables, some glass, some metal, didn't really bring together a cohesive decor choice. Overall great restaurant that we will be sure to come back to for a nice brunch in the future.
