We stopped by here on our way home from the beach for Mother's Day! While it was busy, it was a beautiful spot to eat lunch and the food was delicious! It's tucked in an adorable southern neighborhood with outdoor seating that fixes a European feel. My husband and I ordered the gyro and the pita bread was so fresh and the side salads were vibrant and clearly from local sources and house made dressing. My kids ordered the crème brûlée French toast, chicken strips, and grilled cheese, and they all devoured it. We recommend this place to anyone that wants a special brunch spot with fabulous food! If there is a wait, it's worth it!

On the way to Atlanta, we ventured a bit to come here. Very cute neighborhood, that whole area looks pretty new. The restaurant had great sandwich options. I got the fried chicken sandwich but grilled. It came with a huge French bread loaf. I actually thought the blsauce would be interesting but it was too.much - the second half had too much pepper. The Ceasar salad had top much parmesan. The fries I hear had sit out too.long. the other two sandwiches were good and on the small side at least compared to my huge one that I couldn't finish. Service was nice. Would come again hut try other items and maybe try another place since we really don't come to Augusta much.

We were visiting our son who lives in Augusta and he suggested we all go to Manuel's Bread Cafe. He had been there a few days earlier and really liked it. It was super hot that day, 95 degrees so we did reserve for indoor table and we were seated promptly in the nice cool A/C dining room. For appetizers, I had the Asparagus & Potato soup with Creme Fraiche which was delicious . My husband and son shared the Frog Legs appetizer which they enjoyed. I had a nice glass of Chardonnay to accompany my meal. For main course, I had the Boeuf Bourgignon which was delicious! My husband had one of the daily specials, Crispy Crispy flounder which I thought was just okay. For dessert we shared a large piece of strawberry cake which was delicious. These dessert portions are quite large so I do recommend splitting them. Overall, very good service, eclectic menu, nice ambiance, I recommend this restaurant.

Food: excellent, the duck was flavorful and fall off the bone good. Crisp skin soft leg and thigh meat topping mixed greens a Dijon forward dressing, cucumber, tomato and awesome and I mean awesome croutons! Great dish all around not too heavy yet filling and super flavorful. Service: attentive and helpful, knowledgeable about the menu, very good! Ambience: calm and relaxing very welcoming and comfortable. This is a gem of a restaurant situated in a neighborhood, well worth it! I cannot recommend this place more! Excellent work to this great team! I had breakfast yesterday and it was amazing! Goat cheese omelette, great toast, crispy bacon and great OJ! Pure greatness here.

Manuel's Bread Cafe is situated in the more upscale and cute part of north Augusta and is one of the most reliable and pleasant places to have brunch, lunch, or dinner in the area. While their indoor seating can get a little cramped, their outdoor seating is fantastic with both umbrellas and fans for those sunny days and heaters for the colder ones. On one frigid morning while we were there they even had some blankets for us to use! Food is fantastic, and my personal favourite is their burger which is an unbeatable deal. Workers are all so nice and very accommodating to people with basically wild toddlers :) This place is expectedly very popular, so walk in seating on a weekend is basically impossible. Be sure to snag a reservation!

This was my first time visiting Manuel's. The food was good. The Kobe Beef Burger was good. Bunch ended just before I got here. But I will come again and try brunch. The service was also really good. If you wanna come for brunch, for sure look up there brunch hours. They do offer both outdoor and indoor seating. I came on a nice sunny clear day and sitting outside would have been perfect. For those who are gluten free, I asked if they have any gluten free options since it's not on the menu. There sandwiches and burgers can be made with gluten free bread. And for breakfast they can have gluten free toast.

    Cake was fantastic.

We tried turtle cheesecake, pineapple upside down cake, hummingbird cake, coconut cake and the triple chocolate cake. They were all amazing.

I love this restaurant so much. I come here often. Kaylee normally is my server and she's always so sweet and helpful. I always get the fried ravioli but this time the recipe was different. It's a little too crunchy now and the coating is sort of bland. I miss the original ravioli!

Wonderful place with good food in a beautiful setting.

Located in North Augusta just 5 minutes from downtown Augusta Ga. The neighborhood has the feel of a small seashore village. A beautiful neighborhood full of trees and parks is ideal for bike rides, walks and pet walks. The food at Manuels is delicious and reasonably priced. The wife and I plan to come back for drinks and something from their wide assortment of deserts. Whether it's for the food or the ambiance, we highly recommend this place.

While in town for the weekend my husband and I wanted brunch somewhere unique to Augusta instead of another chain restaurant, and after scrolling Yelp and seeing all the glowing reviews we decided to give this Black owned, family operated spot a try. I noticed online that you can make a reservation for a $20 fee that gets deducted from your check. At first I was a little surprised, but after seeing how busy this place is, it makes total sense. We decided to roll the dice without a reservation anyway. When we arrived on a Saturday morning there were already several people waiting outside. There isn't really an indoor waiting area, so the hospitable hostess took my name and phone number and kindly asked us to wait outside. Later I noticed the sign explaining the process. She quoted us a 40-minute wait, but thankfully we were seated in about half that time. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy with a classic diner feel complete with counter seating and booths. The ambiance is casual and welcoming. If you have a larger party, there are a couple of outdoor tables that appear to accommodate around six people, but personally I think this spot is best enjoyed with a smaller group. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly despite the busy brunch crowd. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles while I went with the Garden City breakfast bowl loaded with veggies and home fries plus a salmon croquette on the side. Every single thing tasted homemade and full of flavor. This is what Southern comfort food is supposed to taste like. My husband said the chicken was seasoned well and fried perfectly, and the waffle paired with it beautifully. My breakfast bowl reminded me of the kind of breakfast my grandma used to make, comforting, flavorful, and cooked with care. Portion sizes were just right,  enough to leave satisfied without feeling miserable afterward. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. Stellar customer service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. If I ever find myself back in Augusta, this will absolutely be one of my repeat stops.

Yelp nudged us toward New Moon Cafe, and while the signage from the street is minimal enough that we almost walked past it, we eventually found our way inside and were glad we did. At 12:30 on a Saturday the timing worked in our favor. We stepped right up to the counter with no queue at all, placed our order, and settled in. By the time our food arrived about fifteen minutes later, the line had grown to the point where people were waiting nearly that long just to order, which gave the whole place that lively, slightly chaotic weekend energy without ever feeling rushed. Mrs. K chose the smoked salmon bagel, which came out panini pressed, a small twist on a classic that she enjoyed. I am still keeping things keto, so the chef's salad with blue cheese was exactly what I needed, a generous portion that felt balanced and satisfying without pushing me off track. They offer plenty of coffee drinks and smoothie combinations, but we kept things simple and were perfectly happy with our choices. There is outdoor seating if that is your preference, and the whole experience had that relaxed, local charm that makes Augusta lunches feel unhurried even when the dining room is filling up around you. My first visit the place was beautifully appointed, we were greeted warmly and sat pretty quickly. Our server was lovely. We started with cocktails which were great. As for our meal the food was just lacking, everything was missing flavor. I ate a couple bites but decided early on that it was a miss for me. On my most recent visit I actually ordered the 6oz. Ribeye with whipped potatoes and asparagus (so I thought and to be fair I could be wrong) but came with broccolini instead. I'm not a fan of broccolini and I'm not sure I would have ordered the meal that included it. In total it took about an hour to receive my food I kid you not. I inquired about it a couple times with the bartender who walked back to the kitchen to check. Each time I was assured it was coming. I was served what can only be called chargrilled hotdog buns as I waited. Maybe not actual hotdog buns but looks and texture wise? Hot dog buns lol. Super charred and dry no butter no olive oil just grilled hot dog buns. So bizarre. I think the bartender forgot to put the order in hence the long wait. When it arrived my ribeye had been butterflied to cook quicker (which I can only assume by the appearance). The steak was cooked perfectly, so no complaints there. The meat wasn't particularly seasoned and look people I'm not expecting the stars and the moon, I was starving and I'm a reasonable person so just a pinch of salt and pepper would have done the trick but for $68 I wanted a better meal. The mashed potatoes were seasoned to perfection so I just ate the under seasoned steak with the perfectly seasoned potatoes and made it work (see totally reasonable lol). And that broccolini? Surprising good so no complaints there. All and all there are just better places to dine. Is the place beautiful? Sure but if I go to a restaurant I want the food to be the star of the show. Not sure I'd try a third time but I'm glad I tried again even if the experience left much to be desired.

We sat outside and were pleased with the location. The location surely had its charms. Relaxing, calming. Perfect environment for some much needed respite. The restaurant is situated on a quaint quiet street, across from some beautiful Charlestown style homes. We both chose Ribeye steaks and boy was I surprised. They were huge! We BOTH got our steaks grilled perfect! I was extremely impressed. I jokingly told the waitress they mush have a boxer working in the back, tenderizing the meat because the steaks were so tender I rarely used the knife. The steaks was incredible, just the right amount of searing, juicy, seasoned just right, and so flavorful. And get this, we received our steaks at the same time, right off the grill so our dishes were both hot. It had been such a long time since I had enjoyed a meal this much. My reservation of going again has absolutely nothing to do with this restaurant. Cost of living is getting high and the cost of a great dinner like at the Annapolitan will cost you. We arrived 10+ minutes before party of 5 and ordered our food before them and our food arrived at the same time as theirs along with the party of 3 that was there when we arrived. Needless to say my French toast was cold, I sent it back, they wanted to give me an order of French toast that clearly belonged to someone else, because it had caramel and apples and I ordered mine with strawberries. I said no thank you, I was good and didn't want any at all. Midway through my meal the guy brings out the French toast with strawberries, but the kicker is it wasn't freshly made but put in the microwave, because it was soggy. The strawberry compote tasted like it came out of a jar, and the French toast had one strawberry sliced in half on it. I gave 2 stars because the grits were decent and the crab cakes were okay, (to much mustard), they didn't have that Maryland style taste of Old Bay seasoning (I grew up in the area and frequent Lexington Market and restaurants, when I visit there, so I know the taste of good crab cakes). Sincerely very disappointed Mia
