I was hoping for a bagel place and this came up in the search, I'm not sure it qualifies as a "bagel" place but what we had was great and the place is super cute and warm. The bagels are not the big, extra doughy ones, we ordered everything and while a bit light on the "everything" we appreciated that they were tasty and not too much. The cream cheese was just right. We enjoyed it with super dark roast - I'm still buzzing (kidding) but it was quite good. We sat outside on the porch, admiring the plants and even though we ordered at the counter, our bagels were brought to the porch. The food was pretty good. However, I did notice something different food pieces on my plate that were probably from preparing and cooking near each other. For example I ordered some crepes and found bits and pieces of green onion in it which was gross. Another concern was the man with the apron he was rude and quite posh. He rudely asked me to leave when I brought a drink inside the place. I would've gladly taken it outside or finish it and come back inside. He got up in my face and don't me they don't allow outside drinks. Like he doesn't know what medical disabilities that I have and could've had my medication in the beverage. I didn't feel care for or welcome in the café. Wouldn't recommend unless you don't mind mixed food that you didn't ask for; or a man with musty breath rudely telling you to leave and getting into your personal bubble. read more

A cafe dedicated to the horse-riding tradition of the area, this offers a charming atmosphere. There were some significant drawbacks. The menu is apparently not the same at all times, and the salads that I was hoping for weren't on the brunch menu so I got a crepe. My crepe did come with ample strawberries; the batter itself was a little to eggy for me. A pumpkin spice chai was syrupy and satisfying in a basic way. They accidentally overcharged me and corrected it, but even at the correct price it was still a bit much for the quality and quantity of food and drink I received. This is such a lovely little café. The ambience begins from the minute you walk towards the front door. The menu is fresh and varied, especially if you love crêpes, like I do. The staff is so friendly and efficient. They have one crêpe they only serve on Friday-Saturday-Sunday, so of course I had to drive into town to get it to take out this weekend. I don't know if they claim to be veteran or disabled friendly but as soon as I walked in with my family I was told "that dog can't be here!". I informed them that he was a service animal although his vest and a thousand patches should have given the game away! We were told that it would be at least a 30 min wait and there were only 2 tables full at that point! Had the salmon bruschetta which was one of the specials. Hubby went with his usual (hot Chix bagel). This is actually the second time I've had the Salmon bruschetta so needless to say it's very good. I was torn with the many options they had and almost got the venison or one of the other savory crepes but wasn't very hungry and was concerned it may be too heavy. I overheard someone ordering the venison who had had it previously and a few people sharing rave reviews so no I have FOMO and hope to go back soon and hopefully it will still be on the specials menu. read more

After years of coming to Aiken, and trying all surrounding cafes/coffee shops, I confidently consider this to be the best option. The coffee and lattes are delicious and consistent and the food is delicious and very fresh! I work from home so finding somewhere I can go and also enjoy lunch (I'm a vegetarian and they have great options) is a fun way to get out of the house. They have lots of seating both indoor and out and the music they play is pleasant. If you're looking for a good coffee and/or breakfast/lunch, I would suggest trying this spot first. read more

I came here for breakfast. It's a cozy, little location in DT Aiken. The ambience is very inviting. The menu is amazing. I loved the Salmon Bruschetta I saw on the menu and topped it off with a Dirty Chai and sat on the front patio. The service, the food, and the presentation was fabulous. The salmon bruschetta has 2 toasted spur dough pieces of bread, with a warm egg, thinly sliced avocado, Pico de Gallo, cilantro, lime and the amazing salmon lox. It was definitely palette seducing. Stopped in from out of town and was pleasantly surprised. Old house converted to coffee shop Staff was very nice. Pricing was very reasonable. Coffee was of good quality. When ordering I asked if the BLT could be on sourdough instead of ciabatta (I dislike ciabatta), the cook gave me a nasty look and shook his head and said NO. I ordered a bagel sandwich with prosciutto, egg, and tomato. The tomato was a grape tomato cut in half that kept falling out of the sandwich, the bagel was nothing special, I can make better ones at home. Not worth 9 bucks. One of our party got the pork sandwich and said it was ok but not great, pork was very dry. The iced matcha latte was just ok, not much flavor...not worth the price. The building itself was cute, the smaller rooms allowed for a more intimate lunch with no background noise. We have no plans on returning. read more

Such a cute little cafe, we love coming here! You have a choice of sweet or savory bagels and sweet or savory crepes, and there are also always some specials on the board.
