The service was great and atmosphere and building are so unique. A very chill beautiful spot that I would highly recommend. The food is incredible. Everyone needs to try it at least once.

A cafe dedicated to the horse-riding tradition of the area, this offers a charming atmosphere. There were some significant drawbacks. The menu is apparently not the same at all times, and the salads that I was hoping for weren't on the brunch menu so I got a crepe. My crepe did come with ample strawberries; the batter itself was a little to eggy for me. A pumpkin spice chai was syrupy and satisfying in a basic way. They accidentally overcharged me and corrected it, but even at the correct price it was still a bit much for the quality and quantity of food and drink I received. It's a nice setting and meeting place, but I'd hoped for a fancier crepe or a more vegetable-focused brunch.

    My service dog!

I don't know if they claim to be veteran or disabled friendly but as soon as I walked in with my family I was told "that dog can't be here!". I informed them that he was a service animal although his vest and a thousand patches should have given the game away! We were told that it would be at least a 30 min wait and there were only 2 tables full at that point! I don't feel entitled but the fact that we never received an apology or an explanation left me bitter so I left! I will never recommend them just by their initial attitude!

Had the salmon bruschetta which was one of the specials. Hubby went with his usual (hot Chix bagel). This is actually the second time I've had the Salmon bruschetta so needless to say it's very good. I was torn with the many options they had and almost got the venison or one of the other savory crepes but wasn't very hungry and was concerned it may be too heavy. I overheard someone ordering the venison who had had it previously and a few people sharing rave reviews so no I have FOMO and hope to go back soon and hopefully it will still be on the specials menu.

So overrated & overpriced. They have such a limited menu & it's very claustrophobic inside

All three were excellent. The food, service and ambulance were very satisfactory. My Granddaughter and myself had a great time.

Delicious menu. Attention to detail & quality. Relaxing front porch by this colorful garden. Quiet street.

Great service and atmosphere. The crepes are a real hit as are the salads open on Sunday.

This place has become our new go to. Coffees have been on point and the bagel offerings are delish. Great addition to downtown Aiken

Trenholm plaza is beautiful, where even with a wait there's enough to do to pass the time!! Classic spot, 10/10, can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

My friends had a similar impression of their meals, stating that they were "fine", but didn't really "hit the spot" per se. I also got a plain bagel and a side of bacon, which I can definitively say were below average, and simply not very good. As for the ambiance, it was pretty basic, but enjoyable nonetheless. I liked the thematic artwork on the walls, which displayed pancakes and other breakfast items without coming across as goofy or silly. In addition, I loved how the menu had a section titled "What are Pancakes?", which detailed the history of pancakes and the restaurant as a whole, which I thought was a nice little touch. I also loved their old-fashioned coffee mugs, which are difficult to find these days, despite their higher level of quality and effectiveness. Finally, our server was sweet and did a pretty good job of checking up on us. Overall, I'd say that the Original Pancake House was pretty average and wasn't really anything better than I could've gotten at a chain restaurant like Waffle House or Denny's. I may come back in the future, but I wouldn't make it a priority, nor would it be at the top of my list.
