Came here with some of my battle buddies from the army, and First Watch was the perfect spot for brunch. The place was a bright and welcoming environment and we're greeted and seated right away. We started off with some of their fresh juices. I highly recommend the Morning Meditation (that turmeric/ginger kick is great) and my buddy got the infamous Purple Haze. A buddy of mine talks highly about it. The butterfly pea flower tea makes the Purple Haze look awesome, and it's actually really refreshing. Let's talk about their chocolate chip pancake! They aren't joking when they say "enormous." It was the size of the plate and loaded with chips perfect for the table to pick at. Now, I love eggs, so I had to get their Elevated Egg Sandwich. This was a hit. The combination of Gruyère, smashed avocado, and that brioche bun makes it way better than your standard breakfast sandwich. My buddy got the Eggs Benedict with Bob's Red Mill Red Grits, the Benedict was cooked perfectly with a great hollandaise, but the real star for me was the side of grits. You can tell they use high-quality Bob's Red Mill it was so creamy and seasoned just right. Overall, the service was great, which is impressive because this place can get busy. I'm a class breakfast girlie (egg meat potatoes). I opted for the trifecta that allowed me to get most of what I wanted except the potatoes so I ordered that as a side. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy. The chicken sausage had a good flavor. The trifecta also comes with either a pancake or waffle. I got the waffle that was the perfect balance of fluffy and crispy and came with what I think was a blue berry sauce which I enjoyed. The potatoes were well seasoned and crispy. Parents and I decided to dine here while they were visiting; we are all big into breakfast foods and having tried out First Watch in other states, we figured to give this location a try. The service was great & our waitress was very friendly; something that seems to be consistent among all First Watches I've been to. The menu were about the same, not sure if the seasonal entrees are shared amongst the chains, but the food was delicious. Now I'm a bigger eater and as breakfast foods are my favorite entrees to dine on, I ordered a lot. I got myself the wild berry lavender French toast, Lemon ricotta pancakes, side of potatoes, turkey sausage, 4 eggs, and biscuits with gravy. Yup, I was very full, but I finished everything because it was just that good! The lavender berry compote wasn't overly sweet. Spreading a little on your French toast like butter gave it the perfect balance; I can see overly applying would make it too sweet losing the taste of the French toast; same with the lemon ricotta onto the pancakes. The batter is great, the pancakes have a nice rich taste to it you don't want to dilute by over applying sweets. The biscuit was soft inside but has that crunchy texture outside the way I like it and all the sides I had were pretty good; can't go wrong with it and tasted the same as other chains I've dined in. There is a mobile order option and I've done that as well. Quick order to pick up turn around time so I didn't wait long at all. Dining in, the restaurant wasn't too noisy or crowded, but also I went early in the morning. They get packed real quick, so I recommend going for an early breakfast to beat the traffic, especially on the weekends. read more

I've been here twice now on Sundays and it is always packed but we sit at the bar with no wait, and it seems those waiting for tables is relatively short. The menu is expansive with great seasonal menu items for both food and drinks. The million dollar bacon is a must and is especially good in the million dollar Bloody Mary. All the food has been phenomenal with the steak and bacon burrito being my favorite so far with just so much flavor. Believe you me, I had no idea how to rate this review. Everything about the experience was weird, special, unbelievable and just crazy. So here we go: I booked us a reservation before we got there and when we arrived, I was shocked by the crowd. First Watch in Augusta is located in a shopping plaza I was not familiar with. I ordered the purple drink cant remember the name SMH but it had lemonade in it. PURPLE HAZE Remember, its 6 of us and she never pulled out a pad to write anything down. CRAZY right! So, the drinks arrive and she began to take our breakfast order, NO PAD remember that part. I ordered the Frittata Rustica, which was a veggie frittata, chicken sausage and I wanted a blueberry pancake, but it came with grits or potatoes. I opted for the grits. About 20 minutes later our orders started coming out pancakes first, then food. My grits never came until I begged for them, but I had potatoes which I gave to my husband. When the grits finally came they were cheese on them, which I didn't order, but I didn't put up a fuss. Out of the 6 of us, only 4 people got food!!! I know RIGHT!! The other couples' food never never never arrived. I know right!! The waitress was missing in action for about 15 minutes as the rest of us ate. We requested a manager from the hostess and when the manager came, she couldn't believe the others food never came! She was very disappointed in the waitress and remember, I don't think this would have happened if that young lady wouldn't have WROTE it DOWN!!! I KNOW RIGHT, lol. SMH, you cant make this stuff up! The manager was very apologetic and settled everyone's bill at no cost. When the waitress finally returned, we were about out the door talking with management and she told her, you can take those plates back in the kitchen. I know right. Unlike my previous experience on a different First Watch location, I do feel this location's food kind of goes a bit further on the "something different" front. Don´t get me wrong: it's still a perfectly normal breakfast meal, I just didn't get the "I could make this myself at home" feeling I sometimes get. However the positives stop here. There is no full service barista, only drip coffees - surprising for a brunch/breakfast place. You can come here if you like waiting for an hour (if not more) to get a table, and then wait 20 minutes for someone to get your order (no one looks happy to take your order) and then another 30 minutes to actually get it. And then when you get it, anticipate to have a little touch of meat in your vegetarian omelette. This place survives because it is in Augusta with no competition. However, it has food for all types of palates. Whether vegan, vegetarian, Turkey bacon, egg whites, etc. if you have a specific request they have you covered.
