    "Big Dawg" Breakfast
    Sharmori L.

Party Size: 2 Adults This was my first time going to Janice's Grill since their grand opening a year ago. I went with my mother as a 'Girls Breakfast Date'. When you first come into the restaurant, it'll throw you off when you see the tables and the adjacent restaurant, Lil' Dutch Bakery. They're ran within the same facility however, two different establishments. When I ordered the 'Big Dawg Breakfast', it was pretty good for a breakfast combo. Usually, I don't ask for pancakes for a breakfast item, but their pancake wasn't that bad. It wasn't considered superb in my opinion but if you like XL pancakes, then this is the place for you. The service was good when we went around 10:00 am. I would recommend you coming to this establishment to try their various breakfast items and maybe picking up some pastries before leaving.

Home cooking. We got the Rueben which had soft tender corned beef. We also tried the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is homemade and ultra comforting. Loved it! The potato salad and coleslaw were delicious too. We then waltzed across the room to buy cupcakes and soup and casserole for an easy family dinner and treats. Lovely place and service! Love the colors and cleanliness

Old food. I recently decided to give this place a try for dessert. I was very disappointed. At first, I order some cookies, they were very hard so, I decided to go with the pound cake. It was horrible, I couldn't eat it. The cake was dry and stale. Food should always be fresh including baked foods. I would never eat from this business again.

First time trying them out. They are combined with The Lil Dutch Bakery. Portions are large and hearty. Service is pleasant, fast, and friendly. The store is painted bright pretty colors and has tables and booths to sit in. It can accommodate large crowds by pushing tables together. They specialize in sandwiches, baked potatoes and baked goods. You won't be sorry for trying them out. The offer a 4% discount for those who use cash. They are more affordable than fast food.

I thought my breakfast omelet was good. However, they did not have hot sauce, a staple to me, and they gave my wife a fried egg on her sandwich when she ordered scrambled and the bacon was floppy when she ordered extra crispy. The service was polite, but our waitress was confused about some questions on the menu items. It is their opening weekend so hopefully that will get ironed out. Inside it is combined with the bakery, and you can get sweets after you eat. The colors are bright. There were some loose straw wrappers and crumbs on the floor when we arrived at 9 a.m. on Sunday. We were the only customers in either store. Either they hadn't cleaned well last night or didn't clean after the guests before us. Will try again for lunch in a little while and hope they are better then.

We started with the Pineapple Mimosa carafe ($18 for about 4 mimosas--great value!), but the real star was the Apple Cider mimosa we ordered later. I highly recommend starting with the cider! As a farm-to-table spot, the 30-minute wait for food was completely reasonable and well worth it. My Chicken and Waffles were cooked to perfection; honestly, the best I've ever had. My girlfriend's breakfast platter was equally impressive, specifically the house-made jam, which was a fresh, standout highlight. We finished with the Hello Honey and Cinn Full iced coffees to go, both of which were incredible. After a week in Augusta, this is my highest recommendation!"

Went back for lunch with work and got the shrimp plate and it was awesome. Coworkers got the grilled chicken wrap and loved it. For lunch the value was fantastic. But went for a 3rd time tonight and tried some different items. Got the brisket Mac and cheese, Cuban Reuben Sandwich, and buffalo chicken dip. The brisket was super dry and had no taste and the mac tasted like it was out of a box and super dry as well. The chicken dip was just meh. The Cuban Reuben was my mistake as I thought it was just a Reuben. It was small and had hardly and corned beef and what little was there was super dry. So basically it was a Cuban with sauerkraut. Wasn't bad, but also wasn't good. So 2 out of 3 trips were good.

I'm not sure how new this "brunch" restaurant is, but.. this was definitely by far the worst when…read moreit comes to small business. For this to be such a small venue, you would think that the service would be top of the line because of how close of proximity you are to the customers. Close to where you should be engaging and making friendly customer relations for future business. So let's begin with my experience: -At the entrance, hostess did not carry herself with a welcoming personality. Seemed unapproachable. Also, I want to point out the sign at the entrance where the host booth is.. it's a dress code list. However, the waiters, waitresses, hostess are not held to that dress code standard of professionalism. -The customer service once we were seated was mediocre.. the same kind of customer service you get when you are in a drive-thru at Taco Bell. Starts you off friendly, but skies forbid you ask for an extra straw and the attitude will commence. -Do not order the chicken & waffles. Unless you like the individually prepackaged Belgian waffles from Costco & salty fried chicken from your old hometowns gas station then go ahead and order you some. The fruit in a cup that it came with.. it was sour and tasted like it was already sitting in that small bowl for more than 2 weeks. It did have some white powder sprinkled on top, I had a strong feeling that it was baking soda and that was what caused it to taste sour. There's a difference between unripe flavor and days old sour flavor. So understand that I know the difference. -The omelet.... where do I even begin? The inside of the omelet was super runny. The toppings weren't even inside. All the toppings were piled up into a mountain sitting on top of the thin egg sheet. I don't believe they know what an omelette is. At the very least, make it more presentable. The toppings just made it very unappetizing. When the waitress was notified by my party that their omelet was unsatisfactory, instead of offering a solution, the waitress made a very salty remark that the kitchen was closed and unfortunately they were no longer able to order anything else. For extra context, my friend was the last one to receive her food and after having sat there for over 40 minutes, she didn't eat anything at all. -I do want to say.. the winner plate of all the food was the side of fries. I'd give the fries a full 10/10. -Everything else 1.5/10 the 1.5 being for drinks. Nothing other than the fries and drinks picture worthy. LAST THING: They do not accept Apple Pay nor do they accept "tap" to pay. Cash or card swipe only.

He made the experience worth it and had it been for his customer service alone I would return. Establishment is very clean and food was plated well. We ordered a mango passion fruit mimosa tower which came frozen in a carnival/fair style frozen drink pitcher. The pour was very messy and approximately 1/4 of the drink ended up on the table due to trying to pour it. The mimosa was fair priced and they do have a lot of great drink options. We ordered a variety of things so we could do a solid review. Items ordered: chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, The Ce La Vie burger and the Number 1 Pasta We also ordered a side of 5 wings. The number 1 pasta was flavorful, Grits were watery and could stand to be thickened, shrimp and grits gravy was a little bland and could have used some additional seasoning. It didn't appear there were many shrimp on the dish however after sorting through all of the grits there were a good bit in the dish. The waffle was delicious for the chicken and waffles however the chicken breast was on the dry side, this was also the chicken on the Ce LA Vie it was dry also. The ice cream for the chicken and waffles came out melted and refrozen it appear but it was ok because I didn't expect ice cream with the dish so I just ate the cool whip and berry toppings that came with it. The Ce La Vie burger was massive in size and a great portion for the price. I would order this again however I'd ask for the burger to be medium as it was dry as well as the chicken breast that was on it. It was also drizzled with chocolate on top. I was nervous about that but it worked well. The side of 5 wings came out as something recognizable resembling fried chicken gizzards but pieces of it had a bone. The server said these came out really small but the chef said he'd just give you what he had. We had to ask what it was because we were in disbelief that this was sent to the table. They somehow found 5 wings in the back which were very small in size. I wouldn't order wings here. If I had to return I would return to drink only but I feel like a return customer is a return customer regardless of why they return. I reiterate the customer from Trey was great. He went and grabbed us a cake stand, poured our mimosa, sang happy birthday to my mom by getting the whole restaurant involved. He was kind. This bill was approximately $160 to gauge the pricing.
