There are a couple things keeping me from giving this a full 5 stars. The ambiance is confusing with a two contrasting bright colors, the teal of this place and the pink of the adjoined bakery. It's a sit down restaurant but the adjoining bakery makes entering confusing because it looks like an order at the register fast food place. The menu only includes cash payment prices and there's a 4% charge for using a card. The food and service were good though. Quite a friendly server and frankly maybe the best mac & cheese I've ever had at a restaurant. read more

Party Size: 2 Adults This was my first time going to Janice's Grill since their grand opening a year ago. I went with my mother as a 'Girls Breakfast Date'. When you first come into the restaurant, it'll throw you off when you see the tables and the adjacent restaurant, Lil' Dutch Bakery. They're ran within the same facility however, two different establishments. When I ordered the 'Big Dawg Breakfast', it was pretty good for a breakfast combo. Usually, I don't ask for pancakes for a breakfast item, but their pancake wasn't that bad. It wasn't considered superb in my opinion but if you like XL pancakes, then this is the place for you. The service was good when we went around 10:00 am. I would recommend you coming to this establishment to try their various breakfast items and maybe picking up some pastries before leaving. read more

Home cooking. We got the Rueben which had soft tender corned beef. We also tried the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is homemade and ultra comforting. Loved it! The potato salad and coleslaw were delicious too. We then waltzed across the room to buy cupcakes and soup and casserole for an easy family dinner and treats. Lovely place and service! Old food. I recently decided to give this place a try for dessert. I was very disappointed. At first, I order some cookies, they were very hard so, I decided to go with the pound cake. It was horrible, I couldn't eat it. The cake was dry and stale. Food should always be fresh including baked foods. I would never eat from this business again. read more

First time trying them out. They are combined with The Lil Dutch Bakery. Portions are large and hearty. Service is pleasant, fast, and friendly. The store is painted bright pretty colors and has tables and booths to sit in. It can accommodate large crowds by pushing tables together. They specialize in sandwiches, baked potatoes and baked goods. You won't be sorry for trying them out. The offer a 4% discount for those who use cash. I thought my breakfast omelet was good. However, they did not have hot sauce, a staple to me, and they gave my wife a fried egg on her sandwich when she ordered scrambled and the bacon was floppy when she ordered extra crispy. The service was polite, but our waitress was confused about some questions on the menu items. It is their opening weekend so hopefully that will get ironed out. Inside it is combined with the bakery, and you can get sweets after you eat. The colors are bright. There were some loose straw wrappers and crumbs on the floor when we arrived at 9 a.m. on Sunday. We were the only customers in either store. Either they hadn't cleaned well last night or didn't clean after the guests before us. Saw the sign and decided to give this place a try. I decided to try the bakery side that is connected to the sandwich shop. The staff was decent and quick to grab my order. I must say, the baked good were not that good. I don't know if it was stale from sitting all day or just left over from the day before. The prices for their baked good also was very unreasonable. We pick up lunch here very regularly at work. My normal go to is the Philly but I'll swap it up for the chicken wrap and the burger. None of them disappoint. The Philly is one of the best in town and the wrap and burger are both very flavorful. The only thing I'd suggest is leaving the lettuce off the wrap. Won't last. Went in to place a hot sandwich order on the grill side on Sunday at 6:30pm. Lady at the front was busy with bakery side. Looked in the back and three ladies standing but on their phones. Asked if the process was to order online??? They said no the lady upfront would take care of me. But she was unfortunately busy. Then she said she was off the clock. As a Veteran kinda hurts when people refuse or push back on going above and beyond. If you're off the clock go home don't be on your phone and talking to those who are needed upfront to help customers like me. As we approach July 4th I hope my Spirit in America is restored. I tried Janwhiches on Feb 6th for lunch. I ordered a chicken fajita wrap and a soda. Unfortunately, there was a shard of plastic in my wrap. I initially thought it was chicken gristle, but it was not. An older woman (that walked in and out of the kitchen with a toddler on her hip) seemed to be the decision maker informing the waitress. After some back and forth, they concluded a refund for the FAJITA ONLY was necessary. I was still charged for the soda that I asked for a to-go cup for. It paired well with my Chic-Fil-A sandwich. The service was great and the staff was beyond nice but that's about all the good news I have. The grilled chicken sandwich I ordered was subpar to say the least. You think given the name they'd have too notch sandwiches but that just wasn't the case. It was a very thin and bland piece of meat with maybe one slice of tomato on top. If I closed my eyes it reminded me of sitting back in the middle school cafeteria eating the same thing. I'd have to say my side order of fries were more tasty than the actual sandwich. Maybe try the breakfast if you go and hopefully the bakery attached is much better. read more

Yesterday I ordered a fully loaded baked potatoe for my lunch at work. When I looked at my potatoe, once I got to work, I was disappointed. I barely had any toppings on my potato. For the price, the "fully loaded" was not fullfilled. I should've looked at that part of my order before I left but from now on, I will definitely check. read more
