    Home Fries and Pork Sausage
    Monique J.

It was a chilly day outside, and the restaurant didn't offer much warmth or comfort. Inside, it felt just as cold. The waitress didn't introduce herself, but she was friendly. I ordered home fries, pork sausage, and a pancake. Unfortunately, the home fries were cold, and the pork sausage patties weren't great--tasted like something you'd get from Walmart. The pancake, however, was the highlight of the meal! Not the best breakfast place to visit.

Superb! The food is excellent! The staff warm and friendly! And the atmosphere comfortable and quirky. Theirs are the best eggs benedict in town!

Lumberjack special with corned beef hash, grits, eggs over medium with toast. I added a pancake for 99 cents. Delicious!!!

I eat here every Friday morning for breakfast with friends. The food is always spot on and the grits are always a perfect consistency. Crystal is an amazing server and keeps our glasses and mugs full. Plenty of seating, but doesn't feel crowded even when they are at full capacity. I definitely recommend as a destination restaurant for anyone wanting a delicious breakfast.

Traditional Eggs Benedict with separated sauce. They're calling the Flippin Egg and they can't get eggs right!!

Service was slow, I purposely put our coffee mugs on the edge of the table to hopefully get a refill, but ended up having to ask the host walking by for more coffee. They're all nice, but the food is subpar. I ordered the traditional eggs Benedict, the sauce had separated, bad taste, inedible. Their waffles are at least their saving grace. Biscuits and gravy came out lukewarm warm. Just a blah experience all around.

    Grilled Bologna Breakfastt

I'm a country girl born and raised so of course I fell in love with this place once I found out they sold fried bologna. I wasn't disappointed with my food or service. The ladies I've had the chance to get to know are all wonderful servers. I typically go when it's less people so it's very quiet.

Finally visiting That Flippin Egg in Evans, the brunch crowd was not to heavy considering it's a holiday. The hostess was friendly, greeting with a smile . Once seated we order the orange/pineapple mimosas which we're really good. We ordered the Ruben sandwich with fried squash and grilled chicken omelette with hashed brown and biscuit. The food arrived at the table hot, smelly good and tasting even better. I believe I've found a new brunch spot. If you have never tried "That Flippin Egg" for breakfast or brunch you're missing a treat. Highly recommended!

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. The atmosphere is cute. The waiters all dressed up for Easter. Several of us chose the skillet option, which I loved. My husband built his own biscuit and he was pleased. The Bloody Mary and mimosas were great.

They just opened one of these in Aiken and it always looks busy. We were in Evans today and figured we'd check it out. Hubby got the business breakfast and I got the chicken and waffles. Can best be described as cafeteria food. The chicken was 2 round breaded pieces of chicken...so not really sure what I was getting. Butter was labeled as "butterly" mixture and mostly oil so I didn't even try that. Server was very nice but food was not best quality. Now we know.

Nice family place with very courteous waiter and delicious food. We went on a Saturday morning and there was a long wait time of 40 minutes. Seems to be well known on the local area.

Starting with our drinks, we both had coffee-which I would return for the coffee alone! It was bold, curious, mysterious and honestly had me asking for the name of the coffee before I left! We had a server in training, so two servers! Both were outstanding! Quick to refill our drinks and remove plates that were empty. The food.....let me just say I not only spoke with management, I also was able to speak with the head chef to give my praise. I am not one to sing false praise, trust me. When I tell you I have never, ever, had a brunch as delicious as his!!! I am a French toast connoisseur, and his was a 12/10! There was not one bite of food that wasn't outstanding. I was truly impressed, with his creativity and his attention to detail because it shined like a diamond from the front of house all the way down to the sweet lady filling the cakes when I was taking my pictures for this review! "Let me get it all full and pretty now before you get those pictures!" I mean, if she wasn't just the sweetest thing, and took 100% pride in her work. Same with the gentleman working the omelet station. He came in the day before to prep the fish (which is a long day of work!) The love they put into each dish truly shines through effortlessly! With permission, personally, I would suggest they rename their Sunday Brunch to "Soul-filled Sunday Brunch" because #1 I left ready to go to sleep! #2 I had a religious experienced during that meal, in blessings and dining I have only ever had at Church Potlucks! #3 It elevated some fancy and some common foods to such heights, I was expect to be hearing gospel music while I ate! #4 Personally, I hope heaven's banquet table is much like today's-full of love, flavor and most importantly-community! Everyone from other diners enjoying their brunch to servers, sous chefs to the top man himself-not one person wasn't smiling from ear to ear. It's been near a decade since I've seen that many smiling people all in one place! While I will have to limit how often I come for Brunch lest my clothes start shrinking! Edgar's by far, takes the trophy for elevated dining experiences in Augusta, Ga! Best of all, a percentage of all their sales goes back directly into Helms College (located in the same shopping center.) Helms college offers hands-on education in culinary arts, health services, and industrial trades like HVAC/R. Keep up the amazing work, I eagerly look forward to dining with you again!

One of the most touching elements is the strong veteran presence throughout the restaurant. The walls are lined with photos of soldiers, service patches, and memorabilia -- a heartfelt tribute that immediately shows how deeply they honor those who served. They're Veteran-run, too, and the Table for the Fallen Heroes is a powerful reminder of sacrifice and respect. The vibe is lively, warm, and inviting -- helped by the fact that they even feature live entertainment, which brings so much energy to the space without overwhelming conversation. The burger and fries were excellent -- high-quality beef, perfectly seasoned, and crispy, flavorful potatoes. Their craft cocktails and solid beer selection were another highlight. We visited on trivia night -- Beatles Night -- and we even won second place! The evening felt fun, community-driven, and full of personality. The location is also a win, with an arcade just a few doors down, perfect for a lighthearted outing after dinner. I loved this place enough to go twice in two weeks while visiting the area. Great food, great people, heartfelt values, and a lively atmosphere that keeps you coming back.

The place was a bright and welcoming environment and we're greeted and seated right away. We started off with some of their fresh juices. I highly recommend the Morning Meditation (that turmeric/ginger kick is great) and my buddy got the infamous Purple Haze. A buddy of mine talks highly about it. The butterfly pea flower tea makes the Purple Haze look awesome, and it's actually really refreshing. Let's talk about their chocolate chip pancake! They aren't joking when they say "enormous." It was the size of the plate and loaded with chips perfect for the table to pick at. Now, I love eggs, so I had to get their Elevated Egg Sandwich. This was a hit. The combination of Gruyère, smashed avocado, and that brioche bun makes it way better than your standard breakfast sandwich. My buddy got the Eggs Benedict with Bob's Red Mill Red Grits, the Benedict was cooked perfectly with a great hollandaise, but the real star for me was the side of grits. You can tell they use high-quality Bob's Red Mill it was so creamy and seasoned just right. Overall, the service was great, which is impressive because this place can get busy. It was the perfect environment to sit back, eat well, and enjoy some time with the guys.
