    Home Fries and Pork Sausage
    Monique J.

It was a chilly day outside, and the restaurant didn't offer much warmth or comfort. Inside, it felt just as cold. The waitress didn't introduce herself, but she was friendly. I ordered home fries, pork sausage, and a pancake. Unfortunately, the home fries were cold, and the pork sausage patties weren't great--tasted like something you'd get from Walmart. The pancake, however, was the highlight of the meal! Not the best breakfast place to visit.

Superb! The food is excellent! The staff warm and friendly! And the atmosphere comfortable and quirky. Theirs are the best eggs benedict in town!

Lumberjack special with corned beef hash, grits, eggs over medium with toast. I added a pancake for 99 cents. Delicious!!!

I eat here every Friday morning for breakfast with friends. The food is always spot on and the grits are always a perfect consistency. Crystal is an amazing server and keeps our glasses and mugs full. Plenty of seating, but doesn't feel crowded even when they are at full capacity. I definitely recommend as a destination restaurant for anyone wanting a delicious breakfast.

Traditional Eggs Benedict with separated sauce. They're calling the Flippin Egg and they can't get eggs right!!

Service was slow, I purposely put our coffee mugs on the edge of the table to hopefully get a refill, but ended up having to ask the host walking by for more coffee. They're all nice, but the food is subpar. I ordered the traditional eggs Benedict, the sauce had separated, bad taste, inedible. Their waffles are at least their saving grace. Biscuits and gravy came out lukewarm warm. Just a blah experience all around.

    Grilled Bologna Breakfastt

I'm a country girl born and raised so of course I fell in love with this place once I found out they sold fried bologna. I wasn't disappointed with my food or service. The ladies I've had the chance to get to know are all wonderful servers. I typically go when it's less people so it's very quiet.

Finally visiting That Flippin Egg in Evans, the brunch crowd was not to heavy considering it's a holiday. The hostess was friendly, greeting with a smile . Once seated we order the orange/pineapple mimosas which we're really good. We ordered the Ruben sandwich with fried squash and grilled chicken omelette with hashed brown and biscuit. The food arrived at the table hot, smelly good and tasting even better. I believe I've found a new brunch spot. If you have never tried "That Flippin Egg" for breakfast or brunch you're missing a treat. Highly recommended!

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. The atmosphere is cute. The waiters all dressed up for Easter. Several of us chose the skillet option, which I loved. My husband built his own biscuit and he was pleased. The Bloody Mary and mimosas were great.

    Business Breakfast*

They just opened one of these in Aiken and it always looks busy. We were in Evans today and figured we'd check it out. Hubby got the business breakfast and I got the chicken and waffles. Can best be described as cafeteria food. The chicken was 2 round breaded pieces of chicken...so not really sure what I was getting. Butter was labeled as "butterly" mixture and mostly oil so I didn't even try that. Server was very nice but food was not best quality. Now we know.

Nice family place with very courteous waiter and delicious food. We went on a Saturday morning and there was a long wait time of 40 minutes. Seems to be well known on the local area.

The service was absolutely top-notch, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was certainly very mellow. Our server, Cassandra, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the menu and made some great recommendations. Their menu is a southern American fusion for sure, putting unique spins on classic dishes. Here's what we had: Drinks: -Bottle of: Vitiani rosso Appetizer: -Charcuterie board (a la carte): -Bresaola (pork) -The drunken goat (Spanish cheese) -The red dragon cheddar cheese -Bacon Jam Dinner: -Pork loin chop -Confit duck pot pie -Beet carpaccio Salad The charcuterie board was very unique and delicious. Afterwards, my lady, and I split the beet salad, her dad had the pork loin, and her mom had the pot pie. Everything was absolutely delicious. After we finished, I met the owners, and told them how much we truly enjoyed it all. They were very appreciative of my compliments. We would certainly stop by here again.

I looked up steakhouses near the area on Yelp and Finch & Fifth had the best reviews. My fiancée and I looked at the menu and were sold. It was small and simple but all looked great. She told me that their menu changes. That's a good thing. It's always nice to try different meals. I would describe their menu- Southern American fusion. They serve appetizers, charcuterie boards, salads, entrees and dessert. They do have happy hour and specials. We ordered: Drinks: -Bottle of: Vitiani rosso Appetizer: -Charcuterie board (a la carte): -Bresaola -The drunken goat Spanish cheese -Red Dragon cheddar cheese -Bacon Jam Dinner: -Pork loin chop -Confit duck pot pie -Beet carpaccio Salad We started off with the charcuterie board and we all enjoyed it. The bacon jam went well with it. Then our entrees came out. My fiancée and I split the beet salad. So good! My dad demolished his plate. He really enjoyed his pork loin with the veggies. My mom raves about the duck pot pie. She's been telling her friends and family all about it. She had extra and took it home. We had a great experience that my fiancée wanted to meet the owner. Sarah was very sweet and nice to talk to. Everyone had a great time and loved the food! I can say we are fans and definitely coming back. Thanks for making our dining experience wonderful. Lots of seating options and we opted for the comfy little couch and chair in the back corner, which was great to just have coffee, a quick sandwich, and chat. There were several holiday specialty flavors to choose from and I went with the gingerbread spiced chai latte, and it was really good. My friend got the Good Tidings (think all the Thanksgiving flavors in one sandwich) special and I had serious jealousy over her food because I just got a simple breakfast sandwich and made the mistake of opting for sourdough instead of the amazing ciabatta it was supposed to come on. Everyone working there was so chill, the place was clean and bright, and super cute. Couple really cool things about this place: Christmas spirit & hospitality. There was they were doing a Christmas card drive for seniors in memory care/assisted living and had an assortment of blank cards and a pen for you to fill out while you drink your coffee and leave right there for them to deliver. The food.....let me just say I not only spoke with management, I also was able to speak with the head chef to give my praise. I am not one to sing false praise, trust me. When I tell you I have never, ever, had a brunch as delicious as his!!! I am a French toast connoisseur, and his was a 12/10! There was not one bite of food that wasn't outstanding. I was truly impressed, with his creativity and his attention to detail because it shined like a diamond from the front of house all the way down to the sweet lady filling the cakes when I was taking my pictures for this review! Fancy, hole-in-the-wall, no online presence, hyper online presence. I know all about them. And Bodega has consistently been a go-to spot for me over the years. Typically it is a Sunday morning/early afternoon, with a cup of coffee, and about half the time a soft shelled crab sandwich. Every other time, I throw caution to the wind. Could be a biscuit. Could be a pulled pork sandwich or The Lox. Who knows. But here's what I do know. The service, ambiance, and quality of what I order is always always at a level of excellence.
