From the moment I stepped into Ubora Coffee, I was transported to a bygone era of North Augusta's historic charm. The coffee shop's entrance offered a view of old-timey red brick buildings, across the street there is a closed leather company from days past, which perfectly complemented the vintage vibe of Ubora. The interior of this coffee shop was impressively spacious, reflecting their dual role as both a café and a coffee roaster. My favorite coffee shops roasts their own coffee beans in-house, and this detail always adds a unique touch to the ambiance, some what of an industrious vibe. I indulged in an iced mocha latte that was perfect. Accompanying my beverage was a bagel sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese. I was super hungry I had been camping for two days so this sandwich at the time seemed like the best thing I had ever eaten. What truly made my visit memorable was the service. The person who took my order was incredibly helpful, they didn't mind how long it took me to order I tend to ask lots of menu questions ie what your favorite and stuff like that. Ubora Coffee is not just a coffee shop; it's an experience. It's a place where the past and present converge to create a warm, inviting atmosphere, complemented by delicious coffee and food. If you're passing through here stop in here for a bit. Ubora is a must-visit for any coffee enthusiast.

This downtown-ish coffee shop has a cavernous interior, and the vibe is distinctive. While Augusta has a military presence, the base seems very contained and I don't feel its presence much. Here, however, numerous service-related flags flew, and the coffee-table conversation was about the latest in wearable technologies for measuring athletic performance. They had a small but good-looking pastry selection. I got a cinnamon roll, which was a pull-apart sheet kind of a thing that came warmed and with some sort of cream cheese icing. Not what I would have designed, but for what it was this was an impressive creation and quite delectable. My chai was less impressive, arriving with an attempted heart shape in the foam that looked like it was in heart failure. Thankfully given the cinnamon roll, the chai wasn't too sweet, but the flavors didn't really mix well either. To be fair to them, the sign on the door says coffee. Having said that, it was a very nice space and a welcome presence in the city that was different than anything I've experience so far, and even though I'm not a big coffee person, I would be happy to come back.

A hidden gem in Augusta. Location and Parking Ubora is located in downtown Augusta. Parking is across the street in the church parking lot. It is limited space, but it's free. Venue and Atmosphere The store is spacious with restrooms in the rear of the building. You can see them roasting and packing coffee in the back (behind a partition for safety). There are plenty of long tables to work at, as well as a few couches if you'd like to relax and sip your coffee. Service The baristas were polite and efficient. Food and Beverages I ordered the pumpkin spice coffee and a bagel sandwich. Both were some of the best I've ever had. The latte was rich and flavorful, served in a logo cup from Ubora. The sandwich had a perfect amount of cheese, butter, and a dollop of cream cheese for good measure. I also ordered a chocolate muffin, which was divine. Verdict I'll definitely be back next time I drive through Augusta!

This place is a LITERAL GEM I was not expecting to be able to find a quality coffee house in Augusta, but this place is it!! The baristas are super friendly & are great to have conversations with. We visited about 3 times in a week, we are hooked! We've got iced coffee and hot coffee, both are fantastic & you can not go wrong with any drinks/flavors in my opinion. The bakery items seem to rotate, those 3 times we were there they had different items. But man, they were delicious!! I cannot wait to come back. Thank you.

Great food, coffee, ambiance. First impression: I love the new location! Walking in, I notice seating areas for chatting vary. There's definitely lots of tables/chairs, but theres also a little nook with these lovely velvety green chairs facing a long couch near the window. There is also a long table with outlets that make long-stayers and studiers welcome. The menu is clean and easy to read. Im looking forward to their "coming soon" items. I appreciated that the staff didn't hover while I was trying to decide. HUGE : my americano came in an actual mug. I love my morning coffee in a good mug. I don't like my drink piping hot when I drink it so the open top makes it cool faster without going cold. Im sipping it, so its not gonna go cold before Im done, ya know?! Not sure if they offer reheats or anything but maybe a microwave or something would help solve that mini problem? Also, no refills on americanos One other unmissable thing: it's NOT freezing cold in here! Thank God. That can be a huge deterrent. Lots of outside seating as well! ADA: Wheelchairs: The space is very wheelchair accessible. Wide pathways and space for a wheelchair at the tables. Bathrooms have plenty of space to accommodate a wheelchair, but do require strength to push the door open. Flat handle door accessibility. Vision impairments: the menu may be difficult to read for those with very low vision or who lack vision. I don't see any braille so you would need someone to help you. Hypersensitivity: There are a TON of windows so if you have a light sensitivity, bring sunglasses. What I ordered: Sunrise Croissant Sandwich with traditional bacon + Americano (almond creamer from home)

A really great business that has had some rough luck! When we heard that they had some flooding in their building, me and a friend knew we had to come support them. As a local student, Ubora has always been there for us as we study, and the community loves them! The drinks we ordered were excellent, and the staff was super friendly. I especially loved the temperature of my hot chocolate- usually I ALWAYS burn my tongue while trying to drink hot drinks, but this time it was the perfect level of hot to be enjoyable but not burn me. Really enjoyed it, and would definitely go back!

What a great coffee shop in downtown Augusta! Friendly staff! They have breakfast sandwiches and pastries if you're hungry - the blueberry muffin has glaze on top and was delicious. The coffee is outstanding - nice roast and full of flavor. Plenty of space to sit and relax - more table and chairs than couches but still a lot of room. Highly recommend dropping in if you're downtown!

Where have we been? My bestie and I hit up Ubora the other day for coffee & she also got a breakfast pastry which she said was delicious. I had somehow found them through a random google search. My friend and I are +30 year residents of the CSRA & didn't know about Ubora. Shocking. We agreed it's now our go-to place for coffee. Fantastic atmosphere & the coffee was excellent. There's a roasting facility at the back of their space, adding atmosphere & I'm sure amazing aromas when they're roasting (note to self: get roasting schedule). They have a loyalty program, along the lines of make 10 purchases, get a free beverage if your choice (double stars when you buy a pound of coffee). If you enjoy coffee -- definitely worth a visit!

Might help if there were directions, a photo of the outside of the place, or something. Can't find them on Google Maps, can't find them on Yahoo! and the address shows on my GPS as a vacant building. Does anyone know exactly where this place is?

Such was the case with this coffee shop. The location is the first selling point. Right on the corner of 8th and Greene Street. You might not notice it except for in the evening. The large windows in the front allow the light from inside to spill out. During the day, you get the opposite. The sun gives this place such a warm glow. I already love 8th Street because it is unique with its presence of pine trees (all the way to the riverfront), but is also home to some amazing other businesses. Walking in, you are greeted by plenty of seating selection and smiling team members. The coffee bar is straight ahead with the options. I have to give props to the design team as they did an amazing job with the overall theme, the rustic industrial feel. Again, the contrast of the dark wood and white walls with the sunlight is perfect. They will let you know upfront that they are the fruit of a collaborative effort by United Methodist Churches in the area. The primary goal is to provide a coffee shop where college students can come to study, fellowship, and grow. I mention this because I also want to add that, based on my observation, this was the only religious reference present. So know that there aren't various sayings on the walls that might offend or disturb the atmosphere. Also, because it falls under the churches, it is a nonprofit. This means payment is suggested, they can't charge per se. So have an idea of what you think a latte or hot cup of coffee is worth to you. I went with a nitro cold brew coffee and was told their cold brew and all of their beans come from Stone Roastery (in North Augusta). It is good to hear them supporting local and not trying to produce something they may not be ready for just yet. There is free WiFi and soft acoustic music playing and the invitation to come and setup to work anytime (without them knowing the company I work for). I look forward to returning soon. Stop by, if your schedule allows. Currently they are open Monday-Wednesday, 11 am-3 pm. They hope to expand hours soon.

Bodega isn't going anywhere, I am. And as I begin the moving process I have created a mental list of places I will miss in the Augusta area. And trust me, I know all the places. Fancy, hole-in-the-wall, no online presence, hyper online presence. I know all about them. And Bodega has consistently been a go-to spot for me over the years. Typically it is a Sunday morning/early afternoon, with a cup of coffee, and about half the time a soft shelled crab sandwich. Every other time, I throw caution to the wind. Could be a biscuit. Could be a pulled pork sandwich or The Lox. Who knows. But here's what I do know. The service, ambiance, and quality of what I order is always always at a level of excellence. And where else can you interact with the furry team member (Ash) as part of the experience? Such a relaxing spot, with the ceiling fans cooling you off (and the table fans keeping flies at bay) and the fountain trickling in the background. Please, if you are in the area be sure to go by and make up for my absence!

Yelp nudged us toward New Moon Cafe, and while the signage from the street is minimal enough that we almost walked past it, we eventually found our way inside and were glad we did. At 12:30 on a Saturday the timing worked in our favor. We stepped right up to the counter with no queue at all, placed our order, and settled in. By the time our food arrived about fifteen minutes later, the line had grown to the point where people were waiting nearly that long just to order, which gave the whole place that lively, slightly chaotic weekend energy without ever feeling rushed. Mrs. K chose the smoked salmon bagel, which came out panini pressed, a small twist on a classic that she enjoyed. I am still keeping things keto, so the chef's salad with blue cheese was exactly what I needed, a generous portion that felt balanced and satisfying without pushing me off track. They offer plenty of coffee drinks and smoothie combinations, but we kept things simple and were perfectly happy with our choices. There is outdoor seating if that is your preference, and the whole experience had that relaxed, local charm that makes Augusta lunches feel unhurried even when the dining room is filling up around you. My girlfriend was outside the building in the dirt parking lot with our new puppy just walking her around waiting for me. This dog of theirs in the building was unleashed and apparently uncontrollable because it got extremely aggressive, bolted out of the door by me before I could shut the door, and attacked our puppy. Luckily, it does not seem our puppy got bitten, but this is not acceptable as my girlfriend and our puppy were far outside of the building and way out in the parking lot - not even coming in. If you're going to have a dog in this place, please either be able to control it and not let it run outside of the building and attack other dogs or please keep it leashed. We will not be going back here due to this experience.
