This has become my "go to" coffee shop when I don't make me a cup at home. The coffee is good! The options are great! The price is what it is ( everything is high these days). I went in to get an order for a customer. I stood there several minutes and wasn't greeted. No one acknowledged me until I said "still waiting to be greeted". They spoke to the white customers, yet acted as if I wasn't important. You need to respect all customers as kindness is free and now not only will not take any orders from your establishment, but I will never patronize it either. read more

I came here to meet with a friend on a Friday morning. The crowd was light when we arrived ~8am, and steadily picked up the later it got. I ordered The G.O.A.T. iced and it was delicious. The staff was helpful and fast! It was a great place to chat and catch up, however it can get rather noisy and hard to hear once it fills up. Love this coffee shop! They have such a great variety of drinks and always have such a good seasonal selection rotating through as well as their basic staples. My go-to is the GOAT, and the blueberry bagels always are a hit. I love the breakfast croissant when they have the spicy ranch with it, and it's an overall great option for both food and drink. The workers are always nice and very quick and efficient and it is always clean in there with plenty of room to sit. My least favorite part is the kind of cold, industrial design of the inside, but that's just being nit picky. Love it! read more

Worker very helpful in my decision making when ask what they would recommend they gave me a couple of options between hot/cold drinks. I choose a Carmel latte hot. It was great I was impressed exactly to my liking. Service was average I excepted to have more conversation since I standout as someone who not from Augusta. Not very many people there, just a regular who they talk to frequently. But regularly visits. Cool array of merch no where to sit inside but there are two little table outside. I've gone to this coffee shop a decent amount over the last few years. Firstly, the coffee is scandalously overpriced (many other coffee establishments have this problem as well, but Goat Kick is perhaps THE most expensive in the area). Worse yet, the coffee isn't worth the price tag. If you're just getting something basic like an americano or drip coffee, then you will probably have a fine experience here. I enjoy their basic options and they will not break your bank. But the specialty drinks will bleed you dry and are absolutely not worth it. They are incredibly unbalanced in the milk to syrup to espresso ratio, always leaving me filled with regret that I didn't just make myself a latte before leaving the house! Don't get me started on the baristas. I will say, I have gone to this cafe to work a number of times and it was a pleasant experience. Not too loud, not too crowded. Do we need another coffee shop-roastery in the area? I don't believe the answer to that will ever be "no." Each has their own ambiance, roasting methods, food menu. In other words, customers that they attract. And saturation equals competition. That keeps everyone at the top of their game. So when I learned of Goat Kick and stopped in for their Grand Opening, I had high hopes. First of all, the location surprised me. For some reason I imagined it directly beside the Columbia County Performing Arts Center. Not quite, it is just past. But I love the location and the brick exterior is easy on the eyes. I immediately took notice of the outdoor seating. A bar running the perimeter of fencing and high top tables and chairs. And when I entered, the space was enormous! Not just tables, but a lounge area with a sofa and toys for kids. The natural light just spills in through the window (pun intended). But let's get down to business. First I started with the Americano (my first visit standard for coffee shops). I like that they offer it in small-medium-large (9-11-13 ozs.) for those desiring more water. I did the small. Smooth, flavorful, weighty on the palette. Next I went for the Cinnamon Kick latte (I'm a sucker for anything with brown sugar in it), hot. Such a perfect balance of flavors as the vanilla cold foam begins to melt. I needed something bready to soak up all this goodness so I went with the cinnamon roll coffee cake. It did not last long. My only regret was not ordering one for the ride home. And I wasn't leaving without a bag of beans. Sumatra is one of my favorites for a dark roast. They labeled it with flavor notes of dark chocolate, tobacco, and nutmeg. The first two are dominant (at least for pour overs) and delicious on a cool morning. The bag didn't last a week. I look forward to visiting again soon so I can partake of more drinks, food, and grab some beans for the house. They do have a drive-through and open at 6:30 am. Great breakfast option. i've had goat kick multiple times, i really like the cinnamon kick one! the coffee is usually pretty good, but a lot of times it can be very inconsistent. For example: a coffee i got one day was creamy and flavorful and i went a week later and got the same coffee and it was watery and bland. some friends and i went on a monday recently around 2:30; the vibe was nice and they were pretty steady inside but nothing crazy. We hung out and played some board games they had. We tried the chocolate chip cookie, peanut butter brownie bar and the smores chocolate chip cookie; the s'mores one was SOOOO DELICIOUS!!!! best s'mores item I've had in a long time, not a lot of people do it right but they did!! but the choc. chip cookie and brownie was SO DRY unfortunately (even with the cookie warmed). overall i would probably recommend this coffee shop? but there is definitely better in augusta read more

I recently moved back to the CSRA and decided to try a few local coffee shops to find a new staple for my caffeine addiction. I decided to check this place out since it was close by and had decent reviews. I always order a SF vanilla latte and use that as my gauge to evaluate the drinks. I don't consider myself to be a "coffee snob" and will drink pretty much anything. I'm not one of those people who can discern different notes in the beans, however, I will say that my latte tasted a bit "burnt" like maybe they used a very dark roast, and it was more bitter/acidic than I prefer. I thought maybe this was a one off, so I came back again on another day, tried the same thing, and got the same result...Kind of a "burnt" tasting latte. I've had lots of different coffees from lots of different places, local and chains (Starbs, Peet's, Dunkin, 7 Brew, Dutch Bros, Rooted, Ubora, etc), and never tasted something like that. But, to each is own. I will probably come back and try something different, and maybe try some food options since those looked good. I also liked the vibe of this place, it is a cute little space. 4 stars bc the coffee was not it for me, but I'm willing to support local and keep trying to find that sweet spot. read more

We tried a seasonal drink (Great White Pumpkin) and a matcha latte. I liked the seasonal drink despite it being a tad sweet. And the matcha was not bad. The space itself was large with many tables, but few outlets. It was more modern than cozy, with large windows and a lot of natural lighting. If you're looking for cozy, no worries! Phenomenal! I'm a purest soul I like black coffee with no frills. Very smooth blend. No bitterness. Great coffee. Cute, cozy little place. I am big supporter of buying local and this place demonstrates the quality of passion for coffee and commitment to customer satisfaction. I ordered the lavender London fog with oat milk from the seasonal menu and it was really tasty, however I wasn't expecting to pay over $7 for it. The seasonal menu didn't have any prices and after seeing the price of the drink on the register, I decided it was best to not ask about any other prices. I am so glad we are getting more wonderful local businesses here in Evans. I got an iced vanilla latte and it was delicious. My daughter got a strawberry smoothie-it was more syrupy than fruity, but for a 4 year old it was great. The building itself is adorable, and the workers were SO friendly. My husband and I used to come to goat kick through the drive thru almost everyday to every weekend back in March. Loved that the location was now closer to us and loved the coffee but the guy at the drive thru was not friendly at all. I personally encountered him twice with the same attitude and my husband encountered him once also mentioning his mood so we stopped going. My first encounter with him, I think he messed up ringing the drinks up and so his partner told him he had messed up but it was whatever so I thought ok, he's having a bad day but for it to happen two more times, made it not worth it to visit. I decided to try it one last time for myself and I really loved the guy today! So sweet at the intercom and very pleasant at the window! He was awesome, super well mannered and very pleasant!
