My 1st time here I got the taro/strawberry milk tea with milk foam. It's was really good!! The young lady was really good with helping me with my choices. It was very quiet they had games to play & plenty of snacks to purchase. People were coming in/out but not that busy.

Front of store. Hard to distinguish right now.

A Gong Cha? In Augusta?! Am I dreaming? Since moving here a few years ago, I was incredibly disappointed in the lack of boba shops. And the ones that the locals said were boba .. were very much not boba. Back home in Virginia Beach, they opened up a Gong Cha and every time I visit home, it's a must. While they don't offer my favorite go-to here, a creme brûlée caramel black tea, the offer a regular caramel black tea and that's just as pleasant. I always add the white pearls, and I think it's worth the .85 up charge. While my husband asked, they did say 'not yet' to the creme brûlée, so I hope they offer it soon. He then asked about Vietnamese coffee, and they looked at him like he had two heads lol. Soooo, they probably won't have that one, but we're headed home soon so we'll get our fix at the Gong Cha there. Finding the actual location was incredibly difficult. There is no sign outside, yet. There looked to be one inside on the floor that they haven't been able to put up. Parking isn't the best either, though there was a sign saying parking around back as well. If it's busy, which I expect it will be because the drinks are phenomenal, then parking will not be fun depending on their peak times. Tomorrow, 11/7/21 is their grand opening. They have a promotion where the first 99 customers get a BOGO Free on certain medium drinks. Even if you aren't part of the first 99, I highly recommend you stop by and try a drink.

Vegan strawberry milk tea

I'd tried Gong Cha while living abroad and LOVED it so I was excited to see an Augusta Gong Cha. The drinks are everything I remembered. I got a hot milk tea (I know they specialize in bubble tea) and the tea itself is exceptional. I got caffeine free fruity drinks for my kids and a bubble tea that the cashier recommended for my partner. Of course I tasted them all and they were all fantastic. All the ingredients shine in all the drinks, nothing overpowering or artificial tasting. My partner told me 'I thought I didn't like boba tea but this is incredible'. This branch is very vegan and food allergy friendly I was happy to find a full range of milk alternatives as the cashier was very knowledgeable when it came to menu items with milk proteins or other dairy ingredients. There's a range of snacks available too and a foosball table!

I had the passion fruit with lychee and it was so good and addictive! The menu is extensive and the service is quick and friendly. I wish it was closer to work for quick trips LOL!

This is my favorite bubble tea spot in Augusta. It's welcoming if you want to stay a while and sip your tea and it's nicely decorated inside as well. I absolutely love the employee suggestion board. If you ever want to try something new you can look on the board for a suggestion. Here you have the option to pick your sugar and ice levels. There are loads of toppings and tapioca flavors to choose from. They also serve flavored bubble waffles and other Asian snacks. In addition to the tasty teas, the service is friendly and fast, this is why I keep coming back.

Came back to get the milk foam tea again- it is still consistently good, and probably the only place in Augusta you can actually get milk foam. I will say that the foam is not the thickness or quality of some milk foam in other cities, but it is by far the best in Augusta! Really enjoyed the brown sugar milk foam drink, would definitely recommend!

Came here after one of my finals to celebrate being done with that class and decided to try out the black forest dessert they have since I was craving cheese milk foam and it was delicious! I loved the mixture of grass jelly, boba, and cheese milk foam.

Taro milk tea and mango smoothie
Crystal C.

Craving satisfied! Been wanting some bubble tea, decided on taro milk tea with rainbow jelly and a mango smoothie with black pearls. Pearls are nice and chewy, plentiful too! Mango has a nice, light taste and it's blended smoothly. Taro has a nice strong tea flavor but the taro still comes through. Overall probably the best place to get boba in Augusta right now!

Taro Milk Tea

First time experience at this location/store. Ordered a Taro Milk Tea. The the next question was "small/medium/large", "percent on how much sugar you want 10%, 30% 50%, 70%, or 100%", and how much ice do you want light on ice, half, or full". First time I was ever ask this many question to receive a Milk Tea but it was pretty good. The store/restaurant was completely empty but I hope it's Greg finish. B Service was extremely fast as after I ordered, no more than 2mins later I received my milk tea. All in all, recommend this location

This place is actually open as of last week I'm not sure why it shows still closed. I went to visit today and try it. I am a huge boba fan and there's officially one in Augusta . As soon as you walk in you smell the amazing waffles. I got two drinks and were amazing! They just opened so they are not fully operating with a register etc so the system to order is not fully organized but with time it will get better'

I've gone to a lot of boba tea places and this is probably the one with most options. It's is slightly overwhelming cause I wanted to try everything Staff was helpful and answered all of our questions. There are milk alternatives for the drinks. The waffle normally has ginger, but my friend didn't want ginger and they accommodated us to use only brown sugar. Lots of seating inside, games and plenty of snacks to choose from.

Matcha Green Tea Waffle

This place has gone down since it first opened. The bathroom is always disgusting and dirty as well as the sitting area. The service is inconsistent depending on who is working in the back. I will say I do like that you can control the ice and sugar content of the boba tea and customize your toppings, but the dirtiness of the establishment makes me wonder what else is not being cleaned behind the counter.

Our server was incredibly sweet, and we felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. Because every dish is made from scratch to ensure freshness, be prepared for a bit of a wait. We also had to make some adjustments to our initial order because a few items were unavailable, but we still ended up with a solid meal. My girlfriend had the turkey bacon, the COE cakes (which are delicious hash browns), and the classic sweet waffles. I went with the beef quesadilla and the classic lemonade, which comes with free refills. The quesadilla was a great choice and the hash browns were very tasty. The waffle had a great flavor and was nice and soft, though it was served a bit cold. One thing to keep in mind is the presentation; the food is served on plastic plates with plastic silverware. While we tried not to let that affect our judgment since we were there for the food, presentation does eventually matter. Also, the temperature inside was a little warmer than I'd like--it was about 58 degrees outside, but that coolness definitely didn't translate to the dining room. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but it was noticeable. The most important thing to know before you go is that they only accept cash tips. It's a bit of a strange policy in this day and age since most people don't carry cash, especially when you're already using plasticware for the meal. They do have CashApp if you think to ask, but it's easy to forget if you aren't prepared. I really hope the staff is being taken care of if people forget their cash! Overall, the food was good, the service was great, and I didn't feel like my time was wasted. It's a nice local spot for a fresh, handmade breakfast

It was bold, curious, mysterious and honestly had me asking for the name of the coffee before I left! We had a server in training, so two servers! Both were outstanding! Quick to refill our drinks and remove plates that were empty. The food.....let me just say I not only spoke with management, I also was able to speak with the head chef to give my praise. I am not one to sing false praise, trust me. When I tell you I have never, ever, had a brunch as delicious as his!!! I am a French toast connoisseur, and his was a 12/10! There was not one bite of food that wasn't outstanding. I was truly impressed, with his creativity and his attention to detail because it shined like a diamond from the front of house all the way down to the sweet lady filling the cakes when I was taking my pictures for this review! "Let me get it all full and pretty now before you get those pictures!" I mean, if she wasn't just the sweetest thing, and took 100% pride in her work. Same with the gentleman working the omelet station. He came in the day before to prep the fish (which is a long day of work!) The love they put into each dish truly shines through effortlessly! With permission, personally, I would suggest they rename their Sunday Brunch to "Soul-filled Sunday Brunch" because #1 I left ready to go to sleep! #2 I had a religious experienced during that meal, in blessings and dining I have only ever had at Church Potlucks! #3 It elevated some fancy and some common foods to such heights, I was expect to be hearing gospel music while I ate! #4 Personally, I hope heaven's banquet table is much like today's-full of love, flavor and most importantly-community! Everyone from other diners enjoying their brunch to servers, sous chefs to the top man himself-not one person wasn't smiling from ear to ear. It's been near a decade since I've seen that many smiling people all in one place! While I will have to limit how often I come for Brunch lest my clothes start shrinking! Edgar's by far, takes the trophy for elevated dining experiences in Augusta, Ga! Best of all, a percentage of all their sales goes back directly into Helms College (located in the same shopping center.) Helms college offers hands-on education in culinary arts, health services, and industrial trades like HVAC/R. Keep up the amazing work, I eagerly look forward to dining with you again!

While in town for the weekend my husband and I wanted brunch somewhere unique to Augusta instead of another chain restaurant, and after scrolling Yelp and seeing all the glowing reviews we decided to give this Black owned, family operated spot a try. I noticed online that you can make a reservation for a $20 fee that gets deducted from your check. At first I was a little surprised, but after seeing how busy this place is, it makes total sense. We decided to roll the dice without a reservation anyway. When we arrived on a Saturday morning there were already several people waiting outside. There isn't really an indoor waiting area, so the hospitable hostess took my name and phone number and kindly asked us to wait outside. Later I noticed the sign explaining the process. She quoted us a 40-minute wait, but thankfully we were seated in about half that time. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy with a classic diner feel complete with counter seating and booths. The ambiance is casual and welcoming. If you have a larger party, there are a couple of outdoor tables that appear to accommodate around six people, but personally I think this spot is best enjoyed with a smaller group. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly despite the busy brunch crowd. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles while I went with the Garden City breakfast bowl loaded with veggies and home fries plus a salmon croquette on the side. Every single thing tasted homemade and full of flavor. This is what Southern comfort food is supposed to taste like. My husband said the chicken was seasoned well and fried perfectly, and the waffle paired with it beautifully. My breakfast bowl reminded me of the kind of breakfast my grandma used to make, comforting, flavorful, and cooked with care. Portion sizes were just right,  enough to leave satisfied without feeling miserable afterward. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. Stellar customer service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. If I ever find myself back in Augusta, this will absolutely be one of my repeat stops.
