My favourite bar at the town, I'm going almost every weekend and special days for me or my friends. They really have good atmosphere and cocktails. Also they have different kind of "season" coctails. On the side of a very busy street lies a little slice of heaven. Apparently, they call this place Eden Bar. The place is beyond gorgeous and the edded twinkly lights just turns it into something not even Disney's magic can capture. The Decor: Some may say it's cheesy but for a die hard romantic like myself, I thought it was perfect. I thought everything was perfectly placed to create an intimate setting. It seems like there's a place for everything and whether you're looking to be just a few to a party the location is ambiance is great. The Food: The only fault in the stars is the food. I had the nachos as an appretizer and they were devine. The cheese tasted like someone actually took the time to develope flavor not just stick some velveta in the microwave. However I got the Wagu burger with truffle chips and they left a lot to be desired. The amount of liquid that dripped from my burger covered my entire plate and made a truffle chip soup so to speak. The truffle chips also had too much oil for my taste. Although they were crispy they were one of the worst natural chips I had. The service: We had a young male waiter that was pretty attentive. There weren't many people in the restaurant so service was good. Nothing to write about just decent. I have no complaints. The Eden Bar is a great spot to hang out at and grab a few drinks, especially now that the weather's really nice and will be even nicer in a few months. As Jeff O. mentioned, it's a well-designed establishment and is highly functional. (Took the words right out of my mouth, Jeff!) It knows what it wants to do and does it exceptionally well. I've never dined here (only inside The Enzian) and am usually only here for a drink, a few beers or to catch the free outdoor movies. I visited with a friend last night to catch the outdoor presentation of Dazed and Confused, which was very enjoyable. We got there maybe about 15 minutes before it began, though, so by the time we found a place to sit, it had to be toward the back on the grass adjacent to the bar, and even off to the side a little bit. No big deal. We also forgot to bring something (a blanket/chairs) on which to sit, though that was kind of my fault for forgetting. (I'd been to these outdoor shows before and just forgot to bring something, or to tell my friend to.) If you're going to go to these shows, just try and arrive early so as to secure a good spot to sit. Last night, my friend had a hamburger or cheeseburger, which she said was good ... though she was a little alarmed at the price. (I think she said her bill for the burger and a beer was close to $20!) I'm not sure which beer she ordered, though it may have been a more highly-priced draft beer (I had a sip and it didn't taste familiar, nor did I hear what she said it was), so maybe that had something to do with the price. Interesting. I had only 2 tall cans of PBR here last night and my bill was $5 and change, which is perfectly reasonable. The service was very good last night, considering that I only saw one server on the grassy area where most people were sitting to watch the movie. The service at the bar is perfectly fine, too, and the cocktails are great. There's limited seating at the bar itself, though there are plenty of tables at its outskirts, and none are too far from the bar if you have to go over for whatever reason. Be sure to check out the calendar of events for a list of outdoor events. Coming up in the next few weeks, you can see such movies as Spaceballs and Animal House for free outside, just as was the case with Dazed and Confused last night. I've been to Eden Bar quite a few times. Most recently, I stopped by for lunch. I was skeptical because it's been in the 100's here lately but they had these mist things on and it cooled it down a lot - so much so that it was a rather lovely lunch outside. I ordered the Cuban and it was delicious. This was my first Cuban sandwich, so I really didn't have anything to compare it too but it was good! We also got some truffle fries to split between the table which were fantastic. In the past, I've had their hummus (awesome), and their pizzas. My rating is for the food only. Headed to the Eden Bar for lunch. My first time there. The place was so cute. It was rather quiet because there were only about five other people there. The bartender was very nice. I ordered the turkey burger with the truffle chips and a side of mac and cheese. I had to go back to work so I ordered to go. When I tasted my burger I immediately regretted my purchase. It was spicy but very bland and seemed as though it was not cooked all the way through. I only took two bites hoping the second bite would be better, no such luck. The truffle chips were extremely salty and had an indescribable taste, not in a good way. The baked cheese ziti aka mac and cheese was actually good, however I did not eat all of it. The entire meal was not worth what I paid and I was sadden and a little bitter to have wasted my money like that. I may give the actual bar a try one day. The food can be hit or miss for me, but to be fair I don't really think Eden intends to classify itself as a restaurant, as much as a bar that serves some food. In that sense, they do the job admirably. The drinks are generally great, with a good selection of beers and a unique cocktail menu that will keep you interested. Of course, it's all outdoors on beautiful grounds and adjacent to the best theater in town. That's the biggest draw of all. Eden Bar is my go to for dining outside when the weather is nice. I love the ambiance, and recently they added more couches so it's extra comfy!! They changed their menu a year or so ago, but it's still once of the best places in town. I always suggest trying their truffle fries and their mac & cheese as sides, but really anything you get there is spot on. My favorite meals there are the Blackened Mahi Mahi, Granny Smith Apple Salad, and the Cranberry Turkey Croissant. For lunch, they offer a "you pick two" for $8 deal, where you get to choose 2 from a half a salad, soup, half sandwich and a side. Their grilled cheese is delicious as well, especially if you pair it with their yummy tomato soup! For happy hour, they have cheap drinks and appetizers. The one meal I was left feeling "meh" about was the quinoa wrap, which just really lacked flavor to me. Service tends to be on the slow side, but honestly I've never really cared about that. More than just a great accompaniment to the Enzian Theatre, this bar actually stands on its own while improving the overall Enzian moviegoing experience (they share the same kitchen). Eden's a perfect place for a cozy night out with your partner or friends. It's also a great hangout for a drink while waiting for your movie, or you can come back here and dissect your movie over a lovely meal in a casual atmosphere. Even when crowded we've been able to find a decent spot at the bar. The ambiance becomes particularly energetic during the Florida Film Festival in April, which is always a great time of year for the Eden/Enzian combo. There's also the Elixir Mixer in November, which is a great time to meet new people and enjoy cocktail tastings from Eden Bar and its neighboring vendors. The outdoor setting is comfortable and especially romantic during and after sunset (can't go wrong with those tall willow trees). Service-wise, we never have to wait too long for our order. The Eden Burger, while a bit overpriced, remains one of the better burgers in town (make sure to add the mushrooms and onions), and the already-tasty Chicken and Fries are kicked up several notches by Eden's homemade honey mustard. On a recent trip to Florida, I stopped here with a large group for a celebration. The space is amazing! The bar is the centerpiece, surrounded by a variety of tables to fit your group whether you're on a date or enjoying drinks with friends. There is a fountain off to the side where a lot of kids end up playing and more tables for hanging out. Another section is a large, grassy lawn which is always a great feature. My favorite is inside the theater which has rockin' air conditioning if you need to get out of the heat! The server came over and we started to order food. She informed us that she was there to take drink orders. Okay, whatever you say. The evening started off with ordering a soft drink and two lemonades for my table. My lemonade was delivered to another table (same group) even though the other two people at my table got their drinks. No problem - we moved it to our table where it belonged. When the server came back again, we asked if we could order food. She said that she could take the order. I'm not sure what the deal was about her hesitation about us ordering food. We ordered chili fries, a turkey club with fries, a pear prosciutto pizza, and raspberry beignets. After half an hour, the chili fries came out. Sadly, this was the best thing we ate (and it wasn't that good, it just wasn't as bad as everything else). The turkey club came out about 10 minutes later. The fries were cold. The turkey was dry and very unpleasant. Of the four pieces of quartered sandwich, we ate 1.5 pieces. The pear proscuitto pizza came out 5 minutes later. I was excited - it looked really good! It wasn't. The crust reminded me of a dry saltine cracker. The flavors, which should have worked well together, didn't. I ate two pieces. Throughout the evening, the server refilled the other two drinks at my table. Despite the fact that I had a lemonade, just like someone else at my table, she refused to refill mine and had to be asked to do so twice. After a full hour of waiting for the raspberry beignets, I asked the server where they were. She said they should be coming right out. She returned saying that they were out of them but I could have bread pudding instead. I asked her very clearly if she put the order in. She said that she did but the kitchen did not communicate that they were out. I explained to her the difference between beignets and bread pudding and requested the check. We were eating at 5:30pm and our group hadn't eaten since 8am. I'm certain that if we weren't starving, we would have sent all the food back. Because we were traveling and were about 45 minutes away from our destination that night, we packed the food in case were got caught in thunderstorm, ran out of gas, or our car broke down and we needed food to eat. We also didn't want to offend the hosts of the large group we came with. The food sat in our hotel fridge for the remainder of our week long trip - uneaten. Our roommate came back to the hotel about an hour after we did and her fried chicken sat right next to ours in the fridge until she begged us to throw it away. Overall, the server was very even tempered in her ability to not let anything bother her, including appropriate customer service that she should have been providing. I gave her the standard 20% tip because having been server, I know it makes a difference in earning a living wage. However, I wanted to leave her 8% because that's what she deserved. One of the bartenders was very friendly and gave our kids a soccer ball to play with. That was a very kind gesture that I appreciated. read more

I can count on one hand the number of times we've actually walked out of a restaurant and two of those times have been our last two visits here. They may have good intentions where their food is concerned and be supportive of the local food movement, but I will not give business to a place where the servers ignore me. I don't care how good your food is or how cool of a location you have, there is no excuse that justifies running a business like this. If your staff can't be bothered to help us, we sure as anything are not going to give you one more dime of our hard earned money. There are plenty of other places around town where we can get a good burger and a beer. The last time this happened we had sat down at a table near the fountain which is a step below the bar level seating. We watched as the nearby server dealt with a party of 6 woman who were sitting one table over on the level of the bar. As she dealt with them she also honed her skills at avoiding making eye contact with us at all costs assumingly since she knew that once she looked at us, she would actually have to deal with us. Let me tell you, she and her co-workers had that skill down pat. So we sat ... and waited ,,, and waited ... and waited ... for just one of them to acknowledge our existence and make an effort to, I don't know ... serve us. Had they been busy I would have almost understood it but there were only a few tables of people up by the bar and several servers wandering about. After about 10 minutes, we simply got up and left. Thinking that perhaps it was just an off night and trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, we decided to try them again last night. We were under some time constraints though so rather than tempt fate we walked right up to the bar area and sat down at the closest table. And there we sat while the bartender chatted with another customer and a collection of servers huddled together, backs to the bar area, in a far back corner. After a few minutes, the bartender took an order from two girls sitting directly at the bar and as he did I got up, walked over and asked for some menus. We already knew what we wanted but just needed to verify that it was still an option on the menu and he quickly hunted two down for me and without another word continued about his business. Back to our table I went. Back to his chatting went the bartender while the other servers continued to huddle as far away from the serving area as they could possibly get without ending up in the grass by the side parking lot. And there we sat ... and waited ... and waited ... and waited. The only attention we got from that point on was from the bugs that started biting Marty about the ankles. Perhaps they were tired of waiting to get served too and just decided to feast on him. This time there was no doubt that someone was aware of our presence since I had interacted with the bartender. Besides us, there were maybe six other people sitting around between the bar and the tables so it's not like they were slammed. When it became clear that once again, no one was really interested in dealing with us, we got up and left. Fool me once, shame on you ... fool me twice, shame on me. But we are no fools so we will take our business elsewhere from now on. read more

It's like a hidden secret! My favorite spot in Orlando for drinks and a quick bite. The fact that it's attached to the Enzian theatre makes for a nice spot to go on a date with my wife. The surroundings are beautiful. Large trees and plants, along with a large yard make you forget that you are on a main road with heavy traffic. The staff is super cool and they serve quality beers. The list isn't huge like some places, but there are some craft beers as well as higher quality domestic brands available. The crowd here is also super cool and respectful. The food used to be excellent, but now I would just say it's good (sometimes very good, sometimes just 'good') Whenever we go to a movie at the Enzian, we like to get here 60-90 minutes beforehand to relax at Eden. Looking for a place to have a weekday lunch or kill time before a movie at the Enzian? Eden bar is your answer! The bar offers a pretty decent selection of brews on tap as well as an array of delectable munchies. I stopped in on my lunch break for a quick bite and was sold on the half a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of tomato soup combo (pick two for $9). Here's where it stops making sense. The menu also offers a whole grilled cheese sandwich with a side of tomato soup for $8. Yup, for a dollar less you can have an entire sandwich, not a half. Nevertheless, the sandwich practically melted in my mouth and the tomato soup was one of the best I've ever had. Just a heads up for the other grilled cheese/soup lovers out there! read more

Even though I've been here a few times, I can't remember actually ordering a full meal. Maybe appetizers a couple times and some drinks, but not a meal. Since I usually come here before watching a movie inside Enzian, it's possible I don't have time to eat a whole meal. What I have done is order a couple drinks with friends, while sharing appetizers. Once we smoked a cigar, sipping some Macallan, while wearing my Guayabera, sitting along the side in a tropical setting. Yes, I can be sophisticated sometimes. If you can't finish your drink, I have brought it inside. This is good because some of the drinks you can't order in the theater, such as anything with liquor. Beer and Wine are available in the theater. I haven't tried to bring a meal in, but next time I should try and ask, since the menu outside has a bigger and nicer selection. As many have mentioned, the ambience is nice here. It's quiet, almost as if you're up in the countryside, even though a bustling 17/92 is a few feet away. The outside movies on the lawn, to the left of the bar, are a lot of fun. I've only seen a couple and wish I would have seen more. You can bring your ordered drinks and food here, and they had pitcher of beer specials last time I went. It's all for a sort of outside picnic feel. Bring a towel or blanket to sit down too. They have some Adirondack chairs, but are limited. Check their calendar for their outside showings, which are free and usually occur more than once a week. Don't expect a new movie, but something at least 5-10 years old. Last time we saw the 1980's film Commando, which was a hoot to watch. I really need to try some of their food next time though. A good community bar is hard to find. A good community bar with enjoyable character is even harder to find. Eden bar--an extension of the Enzian theater--offers an all-outdoor bar experience with some of the friendliest service and excellent food and drink options. I tend to go to Eden bar just to kill time or meet up with friends, but it's also a great incentive to arrive an hour [or two!] early before your Enzian showtime. I'm a sucker for truffle fries, and order them whenever I see them on a menu. They are on the menu here, and I highly recommend them. read more

Eden Bar is one of my favorite places to get away from the usual rock n' roll crowd. As you approach the entrance to the Enzian theater, you'll quickly notice that the Eden Bar layout is very appealing. Nestled amongst the tropical canopy of trees and plants sits this well-designed and highly functional drinking spot. There are numerous tables under the trees, and a large circular bar underneath a rooftop. A prominent artist painted a nature-inspired mural across the entire back and side walls of the bar to give the place a very Florida-type feeling. It works nicely. The bar is full liquor, and the beer and wine options are definitely sufficient. Domestic and craft beers on tap, or in bottles. And if you're hungry, you can order food from the Enzian's kitchen. The crowd is a mish-mash of young artsy types along with Winter Park types. It's a mix of Park Ave and Stardust/Peacock Room... sort of. Just go with it. If you're a cheap drinker, you may be happy to know that they carry PBR talls. During movie premieres, special events and holiday festivities, this place gets packed. If you want to go for a quiet drink with a friend or paramour, it may be best to go during the week. Or just avoid movie start times, as that's when people are juicin' up before they get into the theater. read more

This place has a great ambience. Tucked in the green lush foliage, you can hardly believe they are located off a busy road. I went for lunch. The happy hour deals are great. They have both beer and liquor. The shrimp appetizer looked dull but happened to be full of flavor and the shrimp were large. My burger tasted as if it was right off the grill. I do really like this bar, particularly now when the weather is so nice. In the precious few months where there is a chill in the air, they have gas heaters up to help keep the Floridians warm. Haven't yet dined here, but the drinking is good! The specialty cocktails can get pretty pricey, so I stick to the standards. The beer selection is decent but the alcohol options are where it's at. I tried a gin there, Nicholas gin, it was awesome. It is distilled in Tampa and they infuse hibiscus flowers so it has a floral taste, which is really nice. The bartenders are friendly, though the crowd can get a little too hipstery sometimes. Still though, worth the drive to WP, just make sure you've got a driver to get back to O'do! read more

I'm torn on this review because there are some things I really LOVE about Eden Bar, but I'm not a huge fan of the food here. The good: The ambiance here is one of my favorites in Orlando. I'm a sucker for lights, plants, and outdoor dining, and Eden Bar really nails all three. Definitely visit or at least walk through in the evening when it's lit up and cooler outside. I noticed couch seating on my last visit and am definitely a fan. Comfort swag is important. The drinks here are reasonably priced and consistently good. The beer and wine selections are quite decent, and I prefer to stick with what's on tap. The cocktails, particularly during happy hour, are good and a good price. I've found the staff here to be consistent, attentive, and pleasant. The eh: I'll say it, I don't really like the food here that much. I've found it to meet expectations, but I would love for the appetizers to be tastier and a little larger. The Truffle Parmesan fries are what I've ordered the most, but the amount of fries you receive can vary. Still, it's fine and I'm being picky. Happy hour prices are definitely on point, so I recommend shooting for that. Sometimes the service is sloooooooooooooow, but that issue also arises inside the Enzian too. Although I have attempted to visit Eden Bar many times, I had not succeeded before tonight. Mostly minor issues like changing of schedules and the selling out of tickets. However, the last time I tried to visit Eden Bar, my car died...in the parking lot...blocking the only exit for several other cars. I am very familiar with their parking lot. I spent a long time crying in it. THIS time, I had someone else drive and I think it broke the curse, because not only did I make it there, but I had a lovely time. The surroundings are lushly landscaped and the whole scene is very Florida. Our bartender was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and had some pretty rad dreadlocks. The drinks are crazy inventive mostly including combinations of items I have never seen before -and I've been to a lot of bars- using ingredients like basil and celery. I had a malted pear cider that I thought tasted a bit like coffee and although that sounds maybe not good when you're expecting a sweet and refreshing fruit beverage, I assure you, it was yummy. Barring any unforseen incidents, I hope to visit again and try more of the food & drinks on the menu. read more

My view of Eden Bar has changed since my step into Enzian addiction. Yes, specialty drinks are insanely overpriced. My favorite drink, the Enzian Martini, is $9.60 and isn't that large. Still, it's delicious and strong and, according to the bartender, utilizes elderberry, an ingredient that sounds fancy shmancy. I've managed to hit Happy Hour a few times, and while the $5 Mimosa is lousy they've got a spicy and strong $5 Bloody Mary. I now intentionally arrive early to the Enzian so I can sit at this outside bar for a while and chill. It's a quiet spot to sit among the trees, meet fellow movie snobs, and hear inane conversations such as: "Yes, I'm a student at UCF and I'm majoring in acting." read more

Happened to stumble into this restaurant after other plans fell through and getting on yelp. Over all I think we were very pleased with the service and food, but really the atmosphere is what made it stand out. There was quite a bit of outdoor seating with a nice garden feel around it. Just really quaint and relaxing. We came on a Wednesday around 6 and it was pretty dead, but I guess that could be expected for any restaurant at that time. I got the burger and girlfriend got the chicken tenders. The burger was really good and the tenders were huge; I don't think she even ate 2 of the 4 they severed. If in the area again looking for a nice relaxing evening, we would definitely consider going here, as the experience was really enjoyable. read more

The atmosphere here at Eden is beautiful and definitely low key. The bar could use a little more seating and staff! Long wait but worth it !
