We've had Ecoverde come 3 times now and are satisfied customers in for the long haul. We started with an impact cleaning and have continued with standard cleans since then. At first we had a minor kink with the floor cleaning because the smell of the products bothered us, but we switched to the "green" products and have been happy since. The service is very receptive to feedback and is always inquiring about how the cleaning went. I really like the reminder emails and the web scheduling; it's *much* more convenient than having to call someone! Not dependable. Last minute cancellation and ignored emails. This company started off well and then things changed. I had an appointment scheduled almost a month in advance and they canceled at the last minute...right before Christmas. They told me there were no teams available. This was very difficult as we had guest coming in from out of town and I have a newborn baby. Imagine trying to clean your house while taking care of a newborn baby, being weeks out of the hospital, and healing after an emergency csection...not pretty! I explained that they were creating a hardship and they offered no solutions. I explained that I have been a long time, regular customer of this company (over a year) and the hardship that their cancellation was creating. They ignored my email and it has been over a week now. I am so disappointed because I actually like my cleaning lady, so much that I had a Christmas gift for her. Unfortunately, management is subpar and does not value its customers. read more

I booked this because of the great reviews here on yelp. To me it is not understandable why people like them. Extremely unhappy with both service and result. Booked them three times, and not once did they come on actual time, every booking included them texting wanting to change times. But what made me cancel my subscription was simply the sloppy cleaning. I had a girl living in my apartment during the second month, and two days after cleaning she wrote and asked me where she could find vacuum etc. I asked why since place had just been cleaned, and she responded that she didn't want to bother me but that it felt like they hadn't been there at all, she wanted to clean bathroom and kitchen and vacuum because it was so dirty still. I emailed the company that replied that "sorry, 24hour window to complain". Then the last time I had them was before I moved back in, after the girl. It was all these places that simply wasn't cleaned properly, bathroom, floor, kitchen. So I emailed them - six hours after they had left - and said that it was poorly done and that I wanted to end my subscription. They didn't offer to clean better. They didn't offer any refund. They just canceled subscription. Will never recommend them to anyone unless you feel like throwing $170 in a pond for nothing. read more

I have been using Ecoverde Maids now for two years. At first I used them only occasionally, but this past year I used them at least twice a month, and sometimes more often, to help clean my house for our Airbnb rentals. I love that I can do the booking online, at my convenience, and the online scheduling shows me what times are available for the day I want. I can always get a slot that suits my schedule, and I have an online record of all my cleanings. I have been able to have the same crew nearly every single time, which I really like and I think contributes to my house being cleaned the way I like it. The women are friendly and thorough and careful with my home and belongings. I also love that payments are handled with my credit card on file so I don't have to scramble around for cash. Mariela and Griselda run the two crews that I have had most often and they are both lovely, professional, and have a great attitude and happy to help with anything I need. They are always prompt and let me know if they end up running late (only once or twice in two years). The office staff are great also - I have communicated with Jorge via email a number of times and he is polite, flexible and accommodating as well. Commissioned one-time for move-out cleaning - would commission again with conditions. Although my experience is limited to a single occasion, I wanted to make note of Ecoverde Maids flexibility in meeting my schedule in such short notice. I booked service with one day's notice and they were able to fit me in, I appreciate their prompt delivery. A few notes on performance though, I pre-cleaned my apartment and anticipated a bit more 'white glove' service with the extra move-in/move-out option however, there were some items that I would have preferred received more 'attention to detail'. Namely, a bit of noticeable grime remained on the main bathroom tub/shower unit and the kitchen window, and either grime or cleaning residue was evident on the drain hardware. Despite these 'attention to detail' issues, I am satisfied with results considering all aspects. One thing to notice is that the refrigerator cleaning service does not include the freezer part, which I didn't know. Ecoverde Maids did a fantastic job with my move out clean. They were very thorough and diligent about providing a quality cleaning. I had a 1 bedroom apartment that I moved out of. The online scheduling was very simple and easy to use. I scheduled the service for right after my movers would have left. But when my movers didn't show up I had to reschedule the entire move, including the cleaning. Ecoverde was very understanding and accommodating about rescheduling. SECOND UPDATE: Still no response from Carolina with regards to this matter i.e. obtaining a refund (although no issue on her part to respond to Yelp / google reviews). Have begun a CC transaction dispute process with the bank. My advice to other potential customers, if you do decide to go ahead with this company (or any maid service company). DO NOT pay by CC, provide payment in check or cash AFTER service. Ensure scope of service is agreed upon when maids arrive. Also note the strong correlation between the 5/4 star reviews and the the 1/2 reviews by users... something fishy going on here. What a mess UPDATE: Carolina It is amazing how you are available to read and respond to Yelp reviews yet cannot pick up your customers phone calls during your stated business hours. My wife and I had tried to reach out to you many many times yesterday to sort out the issue. The maids were calling their 'co workers' during their visit. When we had asked to speak to the co workers they refused. Lets get a few things straight, there is only one bathroom in the house that we asked the maids to clean. The steam cleaning was agreed upon with whoever my wife spoke to over the phone when we booked the cleaning. The maid was less interested in completing the work than deciding on the scope of the work. And in the end she straight out refused to do any work and said 'job cancelled'. We did not have any aveneue to appeal and when I checked our bank statement it showed that you had already taken the money out. This is what lead to the heated argument. Yes i did close the door, I did not want the maids to leave until the matter was sorted and this was taken the wrong way. Lets get another thing straight while there was yelling it absolute lie that I swore at your maids and my family members. We do not care for your scam of a business either. Just give us our refund and move on. Two maids came in refused to steam clean the house which was agreed upon at time of booking. Maids left saying the service was 'canceled'. Unable to reach the company straight to voicemail. Needless to say the full $179 was taken out of the account. Will be following up with BBB to obtain refund (if at all possible). I just used Ecoverde for the first time two days ago, and am definitely going to use them again! This was my first experience with a professional cleaning service, and they did a great job. The team arrived on time, thoroughly cleaned, vacuumed and dusted everywhere, and left my one-bedroom apartment looking fantastic. I added the impact clean, plus oven and refrigerator cleaning to the basic service, and my apartment (especially the oven and refrigerator) have never looked better! Ecoverde was very flexible in finding a time to come that worked around my job schedule. They showed up on time and the house looked great after they left (especially the fridge). They put everything back where it was on shelves and in cabinets, which was great. My only complaint is that they didn't seem to have cleaned the dining room table or the floor under the overhang of the cabinets, but otherwise, everything was great. read more

We have used (or tried to use) Ecoverde on two occasions. The first experience was OK - easy to book, they came earlier than promised but offered to wait outside if we weren't ready for them, and cleaning was acceptable - items were moved and not replaced and one of the hallway floors was not cleaned but otherwise OK. The second time we booked a week or so in advance for a cleaning before family came to town for a prolonged visit. Shortly before they were due to arrive I received a call saying there'd been an emergency and they needed to reschedule to the following day. Ok - stuff happens, no problem. The next day I receive an email - not even a call - stating that again there was an emergency and they'd need to reschedule. I replied letting them know this would be too late as our guests were arriving to a dirty house that evening. The booking was canceled with an automated message and not so much as an apology. I've used Ecoverde for house cleanings three times now and feel comfortable recommending them as the best cleaning service I've yet experienced in DC. Their website allows you to request exactly what type of cleaning you want with add-ons for special services such as green cleaning products, oven cleaning, window cleaning, etc. I've booked as late as a couple days before without any issue, and they have always been prompt with confirming my requested time or working with me to reschedule for a nearby time window. The cleaners have always arrived promptly right at the beginning of their scheduled time window, and are friendly, and work hard and efficiently. They've done an excellent job cleaning everything from moldy bathroom tile to burnt-on spills on the stovetop. My only reservation in recommending them is that the service is fairly expensive, but you will get a reliably excellent cleaning for your money. read more

Scheduling with Ecoverde Maids was so easy. However, I don't know if they had a bad day, but I did not receive the same service that other reviewers experienced in the cleaning of their home. I felt like the cleaning was below par. Baseboards in some rooms were still dusty and not wiped down, places that were not vacuumed, spider webs were still found in corners, on top of shower doors were not wiped down, areas where shower doors slide back and forth were not touched, still finding dust in places that should have been cleaned, etc. I even took pictures of some of this stuff overlooked. Had to stop the woman from cleaning my maple wood floors with a very wet mop(which is a no no for any wood floor). The woman in charged apologized for the mistakes, stating that some of the girls she has to stay on top of in regards to cleaning things properly. Very disappointed in the impact cleaning(paid extra for that service). It was more of a wipe down type of cleaning. And no one even offered to send a cleaning team back out to make it right. Emailed them about my disappointment and initially they offered 10% off or $58.20 off the $388 cost. I emailed them back and informed them that was not enough and they ultimately gave me $144 off so I end up paying $244. I will never use them again. Still had to clean my home. Was not worth it! Still in search of a descent cleaning service. It should be noted that on their website it says 200% guarantee. read more
