We were very displeased with the service we received from Ecoverde and will not use them again. They texted us a question while their cleaner was in the house; we responded immediately, and they never replied. As a result, they did not clean the first level of our home, because they wanted to charge extra for a "basement." A basement is underground -- ours is not. Not only did they completely skip one full level of the home, they still charged us for the total square footage of the entire house AND tried to overcharge us for extra services we clearly stated we did NOT want. This was a deeply disappointing experience from start to finish, and they have absolutely lost us as customers. read more

OK, fair enough, they quickly rescheduled me for the weekend through a text message, but apparently forgot to send me a confirmation email (and maybe forgot to actually schedule me?) I did some dogsitting and soon realized I'd want a professional cleaning afterwards. Many other services don't have availability on short notice - but I've found Ecoverde does! *Easy to use website. Very simple to schedule an an appointment online through the website. They helpfully send a reminder a few days before as well. *They don't bombard you with messages trying to get you to book another appointment. Their work speaks for itself and you will want to book your own next appointment with them! *I like the cleaning options they offer - deep cleaning, fridge clean, green cleaning products, etc. - it's nice to pick and choose. Really mixed results with this service. On their first visit they broke a luckily relatively new mirror, and the insurance claim for that took forever. We paid for eco products and they were not consistently used. We had multiple conversations with each cleaner (changes each visit) about not using scented products and that if they needed something other than what they had to let us know- and we almost always ended up with a house smelling like fake flowers. We told them not to touch our bed, and yet they kept a doing so. My spouse (who the booking was under) had multiple conversations with the office staff about this and then when she finally cancelled the future cleanings got called and told 'we had no idea there were problems'. In the end, we expected a higher level of service for the amount of money spent, and they were not able to deliver. To be clear, we offered to provide all cleaning products to meet our specific low scent requirements, communicated regularly about what was needed and not needed, and were very patient as we've both cleaned houses before and understand it can take time. I think for people who want a basic clean they're fine. For us, not a fit. read more

Unbelievably inconsiderate and unprofessional. They wasted so much of my time just to keep canceling, it honestly felt like a complete scam. I told them on the phone when i initially booked/confirmed that i havent been staying at my place but i would be there to let them in and provide directions. They rescheduled my initial 5 pm time to 8 pm, which was fine, but then rescheduled the 8 pm to an 8 am to 10 am timeframe the next day. A little annoying since i wasted my time but things happen. Then, after 8 am and after i arrive to my apartment for their services, they texted me to reschedule again. They said there were car issues for the reason of the 2nd and 3rd time they rescheduled, which is fine but they could have had the decency to give me a realistic appointment so i would not waste my time and gas. I asked them to even call me because i really wanted help with cleaning my apartment but they did not pick up the phone or respond to my request to call after their 3rd time rescheduling. They texted that they cancelled and the almost 400 dollar hold on my credit card would be removed, but it is the fact that i relied on the agreed upon times each time and wasted so much time relying on them coming through. read more

I've been using Ecoverde for a couple of years now, and don't want my secret to get out. So please don't tell anyone how great this company and its staff is. Maria comes to my house 1ce a month, is nice to my cats (Charlie Slater isn't interested in visitors, but he loooves Maria), and does a fab job every time. Their customer service is very responsive and reliable. Requests and changes are a snap, and they even text you for feedback. Reasonable prices. I originally booked Ecoverde Maids due to the awesome Yelp reviews, which is why I'm surprised they did such a terrible job. I could've done a better job myself and saved $300. First, they were an hour and a half late and no one would call me back to give me an ETA, despite my calling the call center and them telling me to expect a call. My apartment was almost completely empty. It was a move-out clean. There was no organizing or tidying up necessary - which is why I was surprised the service lasted over five hours (and the bathrooms were barely cleaned). After they left, I noticed the windows were not cleaned (which I paid for) and the bathrooms were only given a once over. There's some mold in the showers and they need to be re-caulked, which obviously I didn't expect the maids to take care of that. But the tiles themselves were not cleaned. Nor was the shower floor. There was still soap scum on it. The faucets weren't cleaned either. The light fixtures weren't dusted. The surfaces weren't wiped down. There was just so much that flat out wasn't cleaned. I sent a cordial email to customer service later that day about the sub-par (which is putting it nicely) cleaning job. I also included pictures in the email of the CLEARLY un-cleaned apartment. The person I spoke with defended the cleaning and refused to offer a re-cleaning or refund. I pushed back, and he eventually offered a re-cleaning almost a week later - AFTER I had to get another company to come in and clean. Mind you - upon seeing the apartment (particularly the bathrooms) the second cleaning company actually said - "You PAID someone to do this?" They were shocked and straight up told me I got ripped off. It took them an hour to clean all the stuff the Ecoverde maids didn't. I declined the re-clean and explained I already had the apartment cleaned by a different company, and was rudely told I would be receiving no refund. After looking through how many of the 5 star reviewers for this company have only one review ever, I'm fairly certain this company creates profiles or has friends/family leave positive reviews. I mean, the service was just so terrible there's no way these reviews are all accurate or honest. EDIT: in regard to the owner's response, I did leave a generous tip. That's the kind of person I am. I hadn't seen the horrible cleaning job yet, but would've probably left a good tip anyway. I'm a sucker (clearly). There is absolutely no exaggeration when I say they were an hour and a half late. The appointment was at 10am, they showed up at literally 11:30. To say that I'm exaggerating is a full-blow lie and an indication of the dishonesty of this company. What wasn't cleaned in the bathroom wasn't mold, it was dirt and grime buildup. Which another cleaning serve cleaned in an hour. Which is why, I already explained, i declined the re-clean. This company is deceptive and untrustworthy. I am completely shocked by how awful this experience was. They took my credit card info to schedule the appointment and promised not to charge until after the cleaning. The charge appeared on my card the morning they were supposed to come. The cleaners were scheduled from 2-4. By 4 pm, they hadn't arrived. I called several times and no one answered. The cleaner (not a team, but one person) arrived around 4:30 and broke my shower in the first few minutes she was here. Now my shower won't turn off. I sent her home because, heaven forbid she touch anything else in my apartment if she broke the first thing she laid a hand on. I'm sitting in a dirty apartment waiting for an emergency maintenance person to come turn my shower off. I wasted my entire Saturday. Please do not hire this "team" for your home. *Updating: maintenance arrived shortly after the cleaner left. They are still trying to fix the shower. The window they provide for arrival is large and yet most of the time the cleaner was late. While I certainly understand that happening occasionally, I would say about every third time is inappropriate for a business. Not particularly challenging to clean but housecleaning is not a great skill of mine so with this in mind, I sought out Ecoverde Maids based on a good recommendation. I was not, in the slightest, disappointed. Three very kind and friendly maids showed up right at their scheduled time, and looking to get out of their way so that they could clean, I left for a few hours and got lunch. Around 1-2 hours later, I was scarcely finished with my meal before I received a call that my apartment was fully-cleaned and that the work was done. The maids let themselves out and that was that. Upon my return, I came to find a beautifully-spotless home: all my clothes had been neatly put away, all trash and debris thrown away, and all surfaces made immaculately-clean. I have scarcely encountered such friendly, courteous, and thorough service from any commercial service with which I have contracted. Ecoverde has always had a solid response rate- very quick, thorough, and willing to adjust your cleaning schedule last minute if needed. This place is a sham and I'm in the process of reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
