I was so disappointed with this maid service. When I came home I was expecting to see everything neat and tidy. I walked in and nothing looked organized and there was barely any indication that anything had been cleaned at all. I had requested cleaning for 2 and 1/2 baths, living room and kitchen cleaned. And, in fact, they totally FORGOT the 1/2 bath. I was having company the next day which is why I got this extra cleaning. I ended up cleaning the same areas from 8:00-10:00pm that night. Easy to book services and efficient cleaning, however, cleaning was not thorough on hardwood floors. This was mentioned during one of the post-cleaning surveys but did not improve on next visit. Dirty tupperware left in dishwasher with lids on. We were on a monthly service and this last time, no one showed up during the 2-hr arrival window and no notice was given. We were hoping to use them for long term cleaning service but unfortunately had to cancel our subscription. read more

I originally needed a cleaning service because I had knee surgery and was unable to clean my apartment on my own. Booking a cleaning with Ecoverde was insanely easy and scheduling all my subsequent cleanings has been easy. The team who actually cleans my apartment has been wonderful and my apartment smells so clean after every visit. The management team is quite responsive to any concerns and/or emails. The concern is my very first deep clean was not a deep clean at all. They had to do it over again with the second crew. Simple things like dusting and my shower doors were not cleaned. I asked the woman to please clean thoroughly and she refused. Unfortunately, this kicked off a terrible business-client relationship. Finally, this past Friday I caught the cleaners using the bottom of the vacuum cleaner to vacuum my upholstery bar stool seats, accent pillows and sofa. That ended my business relationship. Amid COVID-19, this is highly unsanitary and unprofessional. The company and cleaners shared that they sanitize the bottom of the vacuum cleaners before each job. That's unacceptable an no excuse. No customer should experience that, even when we're not in a pandemic. They should've used an upholstery tool as part of a vacuum handle. There was an offer to "disinfect" my pillows and places where the vacuum cleaner was used. I refused because it's impossible. I now have to buy new pillows and potentially a new sofa. I requested a refund for this visit. I hope I'll at least be afforded this as promised. We'll see. I'll never refer this company to my network, which is wide and deep. Their loss. read more

Great service! This company makes it easy to schedule an appointment online. You are able to select the exact services you want and schedule a one hour arrival window. Prior to my appointment I received two reminder emails with cancellation/rescheduling information. The day of the appointment a team of two showed up and immediately reviewed my order with me before getting to work. They estimated that move-in/moe-out cleaning for my two-bedroom two bedroom would take 80 minutes. I left for the day and when I cam back home was VERY happy with the work they did. I was given a Christmas gift by my son for cleaning of our condo in Alexandria-3 bedrooms, 2 & 1/2 baths. They were punctual, offered great service and were gone in less than 2 hours-3 of them. I already have a housekeeper that comes every 2 weeks so don't need a new one. Ecoverde is more expensive than mine and doesn't offer anything different from what my housekeepers do now. Ecoverde Maids is by far the most reliable and thorough cleaning service I have used in DC. In the 12 years I have lived in the District, I have worked with many agencies, and none have been as professional, pleasant to work with, prompt and fast as the wonderful women of Ecoverde. I most recently hired them weeks after bringing home a new baby, when I just couldn't handle getting all the pet hair and dust up from my two floor, three bedroom townhouse by myself. The team of three came exactly when they were scheduled, spoke great English, listened to my instructions and requests, were kind to my baby and dog, and worked like magic to get the house spotless in no time. The bathrooms had some pretty bad residue in the shower and they made them look brand new. And man do we have a LOT of pet hair they were able to get up even in the random corners of the house. The first thing I loved about Ecoverde was the straightforward pricing on their website. Most other cleaning services required you to put ridiculous information such as square footage. Once you put the information in you still had to wait for a "quote" which is basically them calling you incessantly for days. Ecoverde was so much easier! We scheduled an "impact clean" with Ecoverde in place of the "move in/move out" because it looked like you got more for the same price. I booked the service for the day and time I wanted and received confirmation and reminder emails in the days leading up to the cleaning. The maids came and did a fantastic job of cleaning an apartment that hasn't been cleaned in 2 years and had 3 guys living in it. The place looked spotless. The maid who came to my studio apartment was really nice and overall I was very pleased with how my house looked and smelled after her service. There were a few spots on the wood floors that didn't get clean even though we paid extra for a deep cleaning service, but this was the only issue I noticed. Everything else was very clean. I think the prices are about the same at the different companies, but if I wasn't pregnant I think next time I would probably just clean myself and save the money. Their website was very easy to process specifics, such as the details of my space and their options to select from in order to quickly provide estimated pricing. I've scheduled cleanings monthly, and have had two appointments so far. On both occasions, a team of two came together and they did a beautiful and thorough job on my 2br apartment. I've decided to schedule them monthly indefinitely. They charge on the day of service, which I really appreciated. And I'm very happy with the quality of their work. They are all about their business, and keep careful track of their time. The service behind the onsite cleaning has been great too, very responsive. On my first scheduled cleaning, there was a problem with my credit card because I had a fraud alert and my bank wasn't processing some charges. The day of the charge, we worked it out quickly and there was no interruption with the scheduled time of service. And there have been other specific details we've worked out in regards to scheduling, they're flexible with rescheduling as needed. Again, I have been very pleased with the quality of the cleanings, the website, and the personal customer service. I very much appreciate and value the services Ecoverde Maids provides. We scheduled their move out cleaning with oven, fridge, and window cleaning. They showed up on time and did a great job. Our old apartment looked immaculate. The staff was friendly and prompt. Called us when they arrived and when they were about 15 minutes from being done cleaning so we could come, check on their work, and lock up. We were very impressed and I'm sure we will not get any surprise "cleaning" charges from the old apartment's property management company. I also very much like their website and their online scheduling system. It puts it far above the other maid services in the area who have very bad websites and need to schedule a phone call to set anything up. Ecoverde did a good job cleaning my 2-bedroom apartment. The team they sent was very professional -- they showed up on time and were friendly. And the products smelled great. They could have a bit a little more thorough in terms of moving things to clean better (e.g. vacuuming under the couch, dusting behind objects). I don't usually do that myself so I would hope that when I pay someone to come clean (especially at a premium), they do those things. I'd use them again but be more specific about my priority areas for cleaning. Compared to other services in the area Ecoverde is one of the best. read more

My apartment was a disaster; both my partner and I work full time jobs and we have a very heavily shedding pup and I finally waved the white flag on cleaning. Two ladies came from Ecoverde maids right on time; I showed them around my apartment and with very little instruction beyond that (I had never hired a cleaning person before) we left. They texted me to let me know they locked the door behind them, and when we returned later that day it was like magic! (I literally said that to my husband when we walked in). I just had them come for the first time, and I thought they did an excellent job. They dusted everywhere, vacuumed, etc., etc. My only complaint was that they could've gone over the bathroom floor one more time, as I still saw some dust. But I didn't notice that until after they left (and in fairness, they did ask me to check before they left to make sure everything was to my liking, so I'm not holding that one against them). They sent 3 people, although only 2 of them did the cleaning (there was a parking issue). It took them a little over 1 hour, but that made sense to me because it's just a one-bedroom apartment. I did pay for 2 hours, but I don't see a reason to punish them for being efficient. Also, they made my bed very well! They did a great job, and I would definitely recommend them! read more

Still happy! I've started asking for unscented products, as the scent in the regular products is unbearably strong. That has helped a lot. I recently had surgery and have not been able to clean for a while. While this means the house hasn't gotten too messy, it had gotten pretty dusty. Ecoverde Maids did a great job doing a move in cleaning for me this week. The staff arrived promptly, was communicative about their location and parking issues, and they were eager to clean. My move in cleaning was done well, the apartment is sparkling. We chose Ecoverde because of the ease of the online scheduling system and they had availability within 48 hours, at the right day and time for us. I only took off a star because they were pricey (again, we went with them because we had time constraints), but the pricing set up adds up really quickly. I agreed to pay their higher price based on needing the time, but if I had had more time to shop, their pricing wasn't necessarily competitive. read more

Not dependable. Last minute cancellation and ignored emails. This company started off well and then things changed. I had an appointment scheduled almost a month in advance and they canceled at the last minute...right before Christmas. They told me there were no teams available. This was very difficult as we had guest coming in from out of town and I have a newborn baby. Imagine trying to clean your house while taking care of a newborn baby, being weeks out of the hospital, and healing after an emergency csection...not pretty! I explained that they were creating a hardship and they offered no solutions. I explained that I have been a long time, regular customer of this company (over a year) and the hardship that their cancellation was creating. They ignored my email and it has been over a week now. I am so disappointed because I actually like my cleaning lady, so much that I had a Christmas gift for her. Unfortunately, management is subpar and does not value its customers. read more

I am really happy with the work that was done on my condo. It was very easy to book an appointment, and it was even at the last min. I had guests coming over for a housewarming the end of the week and I needed cleaning basically the next day after booking, and they were still accommodating! The team of 3 ladies did a great job on all the surfaces, inside the ovens, on counters, on floors, and dusting everything. They left it spotless! No complaints about that at all! The place had not had a good cleaning in at least a year, so I booked an "impact clean," and it was worth the extra money. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because Ecoverde did not notify me that they were running late. I was worried they weren't going to show up, so I had to call Ecoverde myself to find out. And after speaking to the receptionist, she said she would call me back and never did. Instead, she emailed me, but I didn't see the email until a couple min before the team was arriving. I think in that sense, the customer service needs to be improved. Other than that, I'm a really happy customer, and I am trying to see if a monthly cleaning from them is feasible in my budget. Thanks a lot, Ecoverde!
