I messaged her on August 25 and we eventually scheduled for today, September 8, 2021. She told me they would arrive between 1-3pm and that I would I would get a more concrete time as we got closer. I received no communication from her. At 12:02pm today I reached out and asked for a more definitive time. She did not respond. No one showed up today. This is very unprofessional. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We have used this service for over a year now, and throughout that year, they have continually canceled on us day of or day before, left our home without it being thoroughly cleaned, thrown out towels, and were just overall unapologetic for any of this behavior. The only reason we continued to use them is because they would fix their issues after we complained, and then kept their prices lower than their competitors. However, the most recent cleaning involved them canceling literally the morning of, without responding to our questions on rescheduling. When I finally heard a response, they asked us for a higher price. We have continued to use them for over a year and this is how they treat their most loyal customers? Adding screenshots of the texts with them so you can see. NEVER USE THEM!!!! Edit (1/15/2023): if you read her response below, she never addresses their tendency to cancel the morning of, without responding to when they can reschedule. I have been using this service for a couple of months now and they have been great so far. They do a quick 1.5 hr bi-weekly clean of our house. Fast and thorough. I haven't had them do a deep clean yet, nor clean appliances, so I can't speak about everything they do, but it's been a great experience so far and definitely worth it! I'm giving a 4/5 stars only because they have only been our housekeeper for a few months and haven't done the deep clean and appliances and that sort of thing yet, but happy to revise this review at around a year mark. read more

I'm torn between giving this business a 3 vs a 4 star, but ultimately I believe 3 is an accurate reflection of my experience. I will preface by stating that the coordinate I interacted with (Yulissa) was kind, courteous, and had excellent customer service. The cleaners however were another story. They arrived 1 hr earlier than the agreed upon time, took their time cleaning (I found them sitting around chatting), and when I confronted them about the speed of their work, they said they were here early and blamed my house for being too big. Afterwards I was informed by Yulissa that the cleaners claimed I agreed to a 4 hr cleaning when I said no such thing. Their cleaning however was decent, and after confronted, very speedy and efficient. Price is also some of the best that I could find. Give this place a try, but be prepared to supervise the cleaners closely. read more

The service I requested was not the job they completed . I asked for a deep clean of my entire home..to only throw away dirty damaged items and save as much linen ,apparel as possible . I was quoted at 800 $ and they would be finished no layer than 8pm..they started a little after 1200 .took them a little over 4 hours to throw away almost everything I owned. When trying to get them to understand that what they did was wrong and that I needed to be reimbursed in some way she said 200 maximum was the best she could do and that her cleaners know the difference in trash and items that would never go in there. Best they did was grab 10 of the bags out the dumpster and put them back inside but that was all..it was well over 40 bags plus that they threw out there. My memoirs..my daughters late fathers clothes and crystals ..centimental stuffed animals..they threw hundreds of dollars in hair products away. My book I was trying to finish writing .. journals papers...out of about 10 bags or more of me and my 2 small girls (4)(8) entire possessions. We hadn't been in that apt for 3/4 months until today. All we grabbed back then from home was the one bag per person rule at the shelter we lived in until tommorrow..I figured sense they could finish by tonight we could go back home tommorow. Instead I have a shiny new empty apartment I can't afford to live in now . Your services have ruined my life . I can't believe why anyone who ran a house cleaning business would through everything away .well now I'm in a worse position than before I hired them to complete this job.andnsense I already exited the shelter this afternoon...me and my kids have nothing but what is in the pictures below.i asked them to be honest on if they could do what I need and I repeated it over and over.i even kept getting her maids to call her every 5-10 minutes because they started cleaning before I even received the estimate . To make matters worse.they knew what I asked for .they did what made them less work ...which in turn is trashing pretty much everything .I am just.. it feels like a nightmare ...I just got out of a really dark placein life with both my kids hand in hand. Only to have nothing to go back to. I really don't know what to do now. It's all gone.i paid 950 to 2 women who decided they were doing what they felt was best to do. These had to do with communication, scheduling, and cleaning products. The company was shorthanded and unable to stay in touch with me to get things resolved. Unfortunately I feel the need to post this review to save others from employing this service in the NOVA area. We just tried them last week. - The crew was 45 minutes late with no explanation - The team did an absolutely subpar and lazy job of cleaning our home. Floors were still dirty, surfaces haphazardly dusted, bathrooms and sinks not adequately cleaned, fans not dusted, no cleaning solutions or sanitization done as the house didn't even smell as if it had been cleaned, the crew was done in a little over an hour (2000sq/ft), they ransacked our holiday candy jars eating half of a full sized jar. - Redmaids refused to send a different crew to remedy the subpar effort as we did not want this team back in our home. - They offered a partial refund but as this crew seems to be the only one they employ in the area, we will not be using again. read more

We had a scheduled cleaning service with agreed price but then they changed the time they would come over and five minutes before the rescheduled time to come over they tell me I forgot to mentioned they charge 30 dollars per maid per hour. I don't know why some people think they can attempt to rip people off but this behavior is classless and should not be tolerated. I just used the moved out cleaning service from A&H last week. 1. Customer Service: 6/5 for sure! Yulissa is very helpful and she will give you the fastest response. Her approach is very polite and professional. She will give you the quote, the details, and all the answers that you want. If you need help or have any questions, just let her know. She will answer and there is no pressure for choosing the service or whatsoever. She is just have perfect customer service skill. 2. Cleaning Service: 5/5!!! The moving out service was for 2 A&H cleaning employees in 3 hours. They came on time, cleaning the apartment very well. We did move out before the day they came, so the apartment was empty. However, they did cleaning the whole time and I was really impressed with the kitchen. They clean inside and outside of the oven and fridge. After they done, the fridge looks super shine and brand new. The two employees are very nice and professional. One of them could communicate in English very fluently, so it really was a plus. 3. Price: 5/5!!! Very reasonable. Not the cheapest you can find, but for sure, will be one of the best service you can receive. I can't say this was an excellent experience, but it was very, very good. We had a stumble initially where for some reason, the owner (or person I was in contact with) was under the impression that I only wanted one bedroom and one bathroom cleaned, when I had booked them for an apartment clean. That was initially frustrating until we got it resolved, and though it did end up costing me more than they had quoted me to get the whole apartment cleaned, they WERE able to pivot and clean the whole place, and I appreciated that. My place was really dirty, and I knew they had to work hard to get it done, which they did. Everything wasn't quite SQUEAKY clean but pretty darned close, and I appreciate all the hard work they had to do. I didn't give them an easy place to work on. Make sure you are communicating clearly about the task at hand from the onset, but other than that, you should definitely give them a try. Very pleased! read more

Booking through Yelp was very easy. I requested a quote through the app and Red Maids Cleaning got back to me within a few minutes. The next day, a team of two were at my door 30 mins earlier than expected. Overall, they did a good job and my home is much cleaner than before. However, I'm glad I did a walk through before they left as I noticed a couple countertops in the kitchen had been missed. After they left, I noticed one of the bathrooms had not been thoroughly swept, and the baseboards were not dusted. As I had requested a "deep cleaning" I was a bit disappointed. Red Maids Cleaning sent me a follow up text to inquire how the service was. I let them know my concerns and they very graciously offered me complimentary services for my next appointment, and a good discount for the current service. They also offered to have the cleaners come back to clean any missed areas, but I was not available. Very great management. It is clear they care about their customers and reputation. I used this service for a move-in clean in February. Of the five or so quotes I received, theirs was by far the most reasonable. They were able to clean my single-family home with a few days notice. I thought they did a great job! And I was able to pay using Zelle, which was convenient. Since then, I've had A&H come clean my home every other week because I like working with them so much. They're flexible when I need them to adjust the cleaning day, and when they occasionally ask to move the cleaning, they are also willing to accommodate my timing requirements. Last week, for example, when they asked to push into the next week, I said I had guests coming. So they sent a smaller team to clean a day later. Marisa and her team really do try to go above and beyond. They asked if I knew how to take down hanging light fixtures in the kitchen so they could clean the inside of the glass (they always clean the exterior). I wish I had before and after photos, my house was not dirty but I wanted to get it cleaned for the holidays and just do general dusting. The staff went above and beyond! I appreciated them taking the time to really make sure things were scrubbed, especially in the living room and kitchen. The best part is they charge per hour and not just generally by rooms or other standards, so if you want up to a certain amount cleaned (and your house doesn't need a deep cleaning) you get value based on that metric. I initially reached out via email and I received a response within 48 hours. We set up a day that I was to be called, I heard nothing. I had a large surface area to be "move-out ready" and the service provided did not disappoint! Too bad I can't rate them a negative 10. I scheduled them for a cleaning on Dec 23 @ 8am. We discussed price and agreed on $130 for my 2 bdrm 2 bath condo. I'm scheduled for hip replacement surgery on the 27th, and wanted a thorough cleaning before my operation since it will be difficult to manage this task for a while. The 23rd rolled around, and I waited from 8 to 10am, which is when I had to leave for my preop COVID test. Between 8:30 & 10, I called and left messages about my appointment. Nada. Around noon, I got an apology text from Red Maids with some story about how their Yelp system had gone kerflooey, and could they reschedule. Sure - they could come on the 24th. I advised them that I was available then, and that I'd wait for their call to apology and set a time. Advised them that their Yelp difficulties did not create an emergency for me. I used this service for my first deep cleaning of my new construction townhome (I've been here for 8 months). No pets, no kids just my partner and I. I would recommend this service and will most likely use them again What I liked -customer service/responsiveness. Yulissa is very responsive via text, and will answer any questions you have. She was able to accommodate a quick turnaround time. I also liked her responsiveness to my request for a quote and her follow up. Made her stand out above the rest -cleaning professionals-they were professional and pleasant. Didn't mind taking their shoes off and were quiet as my partner and I were working while they were cleaning. They don't speak a lot of English. They didn't seem to rush. Not timely, but wasn't big deal for me at all they were about 30 minutes late. -'Extras'-they organized my closet. I was not expecting that at all, and when I tell you my closet was an absolute mess. You literally couldn't see the floor. They also washed 2 glasses in the sink. It's a little thing, but I always hear cleaning services don't do dishes, so I was appreciative. I have a 3 story and my stairs are always a hot mess, so the attention to the stairs was also nice. I think I saw one of the cleaners hand cleaning and sweeping. Why a 4 instead of a 5 -cleaning supplies-I noticed when they arrived they didn't seem to have a lot of cleaning supplies. Everything was clean, but If you're super picky about products, I would ask Yulissa or have them use your products. They also don't mop with a bucket and water, if that's your thing. It's more of a swifter/dry/wet sweep and mop type situation. Overall the floor is clean, but there are a couple of spots in high traffic areas I'll have to go over with a mop and bucket. -missed spots-no cleaning service is perfect, inevitably they will miss a spot here and there. But they hadn't touched the baseboards on the entire second floor or the bathroom baseboards, and that was basically the reason I opted for a deep cleaning. There was also a noticeable spot on one of the toilets, and the window sills in the dining room were dusty and weren't cleaned. But as soon as I bought it to their attention, they fixed it right away. Similar to another customer's thoughts, not sure how thorough they would be if I wasn't here.
