I'm also very impressed by how professional and respectful the team was. This was the first time I've invited cleaners into my home and I was nervous about what the experience would be like. But then I get a text from the company saying that the cleaners need to change the arrival window from 8-10 to 11-12. There is some back and forth because I'm trying to figure out how we went from "I'll be there in 15 minutes" to changing the arrival time to 11 to 12. At this point, I'm annoyed. There must have been bad information on the corporate side, because the cleaners arrived by 9:25. I'm irritated, but just happy they arrived. Spekless said "a goodwill $25 credit will be added to my account for the day's service. At this point, I'm like "that's nice of them." But then, I notice that when I was getting ready to leave out about an hour after they arrived, they were finishing up. I have a 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo and it's about 650 sq feet. But I paid for a deep clean so I'm wondering how are they finished in 60 minutes. I didn't pay it too much attention. I left for my appointment and when I got back they were gone. I did a check of the spot, and my God. My TV and Alexa screens were dusty. But my biggest shock was my stove was still filthy; it was greasy with caked on gunk still everywhere. And they didn't even bother to clean under the hood. Is that not part of my kitchen? There was a stain on my floor by my dishwasher. You know what was still on the floor by my dishwasher when I got home after they just finished cleaning? The stain that was there before they arrived. I continue to have issues with cleaning companies, but this is by far the most egregious. Then I reached out to corporate and told them what happened. They said they'd issue a $50 credit. For the way my house was left, they should have covered half the service, not $50. They also charged me the full $226, so now I'm waiting for a $50 credit back to me. I doubt I'll ever receive it. Either I'm a super picky person to please, or the reviews being left are from their family and friends. Because no way I'm an anomaly in this situation. The service sucked. Bad. Oh, they also said if I book a regular cleaning, they'd add on a deep cleaning at no charge. I'm not spending another dime with a company that did me dirty (literally) the first time. No thanks! I received a few replies, some two days later (!) but Helane at Maid 4 You answered right away. After some back and forth via Yelp, we began to text. By far the easiest! She told me her minimum fee was $100 and asked what else could they clean to make it right. Long story short, it was by far the best quote I received so I booked for today. The two people who cleaned went above and beyond (I think, more later). My bathroom and the one on the main floor as well as the one on the third floor are sparkling! Just to add a tip here: they don't give a "window" appointment, so when the cleaning crew finished another job early, Helane texted to ask if they could come but it was an hour and 15 minutes earlier. We weren't ready! We had so. much. stuff. The clutter struggle is real. Here is one more, very important tip: the "lead" cleaner spoke a little English but the other one I think none. It was delightful to listen to them speaking Portuguese! But if I was doing this again from scratch, I would ask the boss to come to the house so we could be very clear what was and wasn't to be done. I honestly don't know what they were told, but if it was their normal cleaning routine it was beyond excellent!! I just didn't know - having never hired anyone for this before - what to expect or how to direct them. Will we have them back? You bet.
