I found this service through Thumbtack, they were one of the most popular businesses in this requested service. It was really easy to communicate and book. They reached out by text and through the app and were available to answer any questions I had. I chose their available time frame and unfortunately they showed up later than anticipated. However, when the two maids showed up and started working immediately and didn't rest. At this rate I felt I was the one being lazy so I started cleaning right alongside them in another room. They were friendly although I wish they took more care with some of the items. Like in my kitchen, instead of moving things over in an orderly manner, she just kind of tossed everything in an area to clean. So some things spilled out due to this. But aside from that, the place was left sparkling and spotless. They do have a maintenance price when you want them to come back to maintain the home. I fully intend to use them again.

My weekends have been FULL and cleaning hasn't happened. Other than kitchens and bathrooms, trash and laundry there has been NO cleaning here in weeks AND, despite living here for 5 months, we haven't fully unpacked. In despair I placed a Yelp! Project bid request for another company and Bright also responded. They were the only company who offered three people at an amazing rate and almost immediate time. I could have cried They have an amazingly professional portal AND they take credit cards, which is super nice. The time was set for 8:00am. My doorbell rang at 8am! They brought all their own stuff and they are SO QUICK, efficient and well-trained. With my minimal instructions, they got my six spaces done and 20 boxes emptied, broken down and stuff put away within 6 hours. This is the cleanest and most organized my space has ever been. I loved the experience. They were SO SWEET AND RESPECTFUL. They saved my sanity. SAVED IT. I cannot tell you how awesome this experience was. I have five kids and most people take a LONG TIME to get through the clutter that my kids can create. Not these ladies. When I tell you, they finished my sons (9&4) disaster area of a room in 30 minutes, including putting away and folding clothes, I'm not joking. Every time I thought I'd just set them up in a space and let them work, they were like "we're done!" Bottom Line: Whatever you're booking them for, or thinking about booking them for, do it!! And be prepared to tip these ladies, they WILL EARN IT. (And no they don't ask or expect it), they're Uber professional. Saved my sanity.

In the last few times I've used them, Daniel would change the rate price on me at the last minute and would notify me either day prior or day of so it would be impossible for me to find another cleaner at the last minute. He increased my rate because I renovated my home and added a bathroom. Then from there he increased the rate again significantly the night before the appointment stating that it was because I didn't do a cleaning last month. I was away for work for a few weeks so I obviously wouldn't need a cleaning but I did try to book them that month in question and they weren't available before my trip so I opted to have them come after my trip which is why I couldn't book them last month. Felt like they were extorting me and putting me in the last minute situations knowing I had no other option to be fulfilled in time.

Review from a Pet Owner!!…read more So as someone who has a pet, she's my everything - and I wanted to find a cleaning company that understands what that means to own a pet. Which also meant, they understood what it means to clean a house with a pet and they use non-toxic cleaning chemicals. With this company - they just get it. And I'm finally writing today because of what happened at my home today. The cleaners arrived as normally scheduled, on time, and all that jazz - and I'm at work about 20 minutes away when I get a call from Shawn. He told me that the cleaners were concerned about my cat because she was in the bathtub and seemed very stressed out. She's normally very friendly and calm, so this unusual behavior prompted them to call Shawn (I guess he runs the office) who called me immediately. I told them to ignore her if she didn't look like she was in any danger, and just ignore the tub for now. I left work and drove 20 minutes home, to find her in the bathtub. Apparenlty she got spooked at something, jumped in the tub, and because it was wet from my shower, couldn't get out. They were willing to get her out, but I told them to leave her if she was stressed because I would be home soon - and a stressed cat is not one you want to pick up as a "stranger". I feel most cleaners would have ignored her, and wouldn't have recognized her unusual behavior. Had I not been called, my poor baby would have been sitting in that tub, wet, all day long. SHe was so happy to see me home, she was totally fine, she wasn't in any sort of actual danger - and now she's in my lap dry and happy as a clam :) Now, in terms of the cleaning service itself! they are fantastic. Especially as someone who has some serious cat hair everywhere, they do an amazing job getting it all. Coming home to a cat hair free apartment is a god send. They use green, pet friendly products - everything is spotless, and they really take care of everything. This is a class act service!!!! If you own a pet, stop looking anywhere else - and call these guys up, seriously - from one pet owner to another, you can thank me later :)

Then, I began searching a house cleaning company and have hired four companies and fired one after another. I'm not picky, but I hate when your cleaners don't show-up and never bother to call you if there is a problem. Finally, I expressed my dissatisfaction of my cleaners with one of my lady friends at work, and she has suggested to call this company. First, I was skeptical due to my previews experiences of other cleaning companies, but I made the call finally and scheduled an estimate. The estimate went very well, and I scheduled the initial cleaning the cleaning next day. I received a feedback call from one of their staffs, and the rest was history. I'm very satisfied with them and what I love the most is sending the same cleaning crew. I hated letting in my house new cleaners every other week. So, if you need a maid service, do your homework first; schedule at least three estimates and don't hire any company that does not provide their own supplies. Liz

I live in a studio one bedroom apartment in DC. Upon moving here a few months back, I always…read moreassumed that I could get it cleaned relatively easy for an affordable price as I had in the past. However, I did not realize how difficult finding a reputable cleaning company at an affordable price was here in DC that could clean on your schedule. Most cleaning companies in DC are either booked solid or they want you to enroll in a recurring plan to get the affordable prices. I literally struck out twice when scheduling a cleaning company to come clean my apartment prior to finding CharmClean. Below is my review of of the company. BOOKING- The booking process was extremely straight forward as I was able to make a reservation on the company website. They had plenty of availability which fit my schedule. In addition, they emailed me constant reminders about my appointment. 5/5 PRICE- To clean my studio one bedroom apartment, the price was $119 for a one-time clean. However, I was able to use a discount code from Yelp that allowed me to save $15 which made it about $100. Although in other places I have lived that would be considered pretty expensive, it was actually the cheapest place (after using the discount code) here in DC. 5/5 SERVICE- To be clear, my apartment was pretty disgusting which is why I made the appointment. The company sent one maid and I was unsure if she would be able to clean everything within the allotted time. However, Milanos arrived right on time and did an excellent job in executing each task within the timeframe. My apartment looked like it did when I moved in when all was said and done. In addition, she brought her own supplies (which isn't a given with some companies). 5/5 In the end, CharmClean is as good as it gets here in DC and I would recommend them to anyone who was looking for a company to clean their apartment/house. Don't waste your time or money looking for anyone else.
