This month is our 2 year anniversary of receiving house cleaning services from the Purrfectly Kleen…read moreteam! Despite the fact that adding our house (in Alexandria) to their rotation of clients mainly in Arlington had its logistical challenges, they have not let that interfere with providing timely service. They send dates of service for 1 year in advance and coordinate at the beginning of the week for the exact time of arrival. These reminders are perfect to help us deconflict with our busy family schedule (and to remind us to straighten up before their arrival!). When it comes to the cleaning, their work is thorough and spotless. The first thing I see when I get home is the gleaming kitchen sink!! They do a wonderful job in the bathrooms, bedrooms, and with our floors. Any tricky area we ask about ahead of time (like a shower) is given extra attention at the next appointment. We appreciate the services of the folks at Purrfectly Kleen for keeping our house clean and safe (and as a working parent allowing me to keep my sanity)! I highly recommend their services to any household in need!!!!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We have used this service for over a year now, and throughout…read morethat year, they have continually canceled on us day of or day before, left our home without it being thoroughly cleaned, thrown out towels, and were just overall unapologetic for any of this behavior. The only reason we continued to use them is because they would fix their issues after we complained, and then kept their prices lower than their competitors. However, the most recent cleaning involved them canceling literally the morning of, without responding to our questions on rescheduling. When I finally heard a response, they asked us for a higher price. We have continued to use them for over a year and this is how they treat their most loyal customers? Adding screenshots of the texts with them so you can see. NEVER USE THEM!!!! Edit (1/15/2023): if you read her response below, she never addresses their tendency to cancel the morning of, without responding to when they can reschedule. That's because there is no excuse for that kind of unprofessionalism. Not cleaning the place well because they have to use vinegar is one thing, but setting improper expectations and frequently canceling is another.

I'm torn between giving this business a 3 vs a 4 star, but ultimately I believe 3 is an accurate…read morereflection of my experience. I will preface by stating that the coordinate I interacted with (Yulissa) was kind, courteous, and had excellent customer service. The cleaners however were another story. They arrived 1 hr earlier than the agreed upon time, took their time cleaning (I found them sitting around chatting), and when I confronted them about the speed of their work, they said they were here early and blamed my house for being too big. Afterwards I was informed by Yulissa that the cleaners claimed I agreed to a 4 hr cleaning when I said no such thing. Their cleaning however was decent, and after confronted, very speedy and efficient. Price is also some of the best that I could find. Give this place a try, but be prepared to supervise the cleaners closely.

Our office was on a tight schedule to close their current location. I tried calling a couple of…read moreplaces before Chappell's. One didn't answer the phone, not even an automated machine, the second couldn't accommodate my time line. Then I called Chappell's and an actual person answered the telephone! She was not able to connect me with Tonya immediately and took a message, but I had a call back within a few minutes. I knew I was giving late notice, but Tonya was able to get me in before the end of the month. They started on time and were able to shift gears as the office was a bit worse for wear. She came out with a carpet cleaner and we were able to go from a basic clean to a deep clean with carpet cleaning at a very reasonable price. I was pleased with how everything looked and I highly recommend Chappell's Cleaning Services.

It took me a while to write this review because I was internally battling with whether or not to do…read moreit. As I was preparing to move into my new home in February 2021, I decided that cleaning the home was not something I wanted to deal with during the move-in process. After doing research and reading through reviews, I decided to go with this company. They are definitely more expensive than other cleaning companies in the area but I figured it was due to them being thorough. On the day of the cleaning, I allowed 3 of their staff, including one of the co-owners, into my home to clean the vacant house. I had other tasks to handle so I left them in the home and came back an hour later. Upon my return, Mr. Chappell started walking me through the home (in a rushing manner), directing me to give the okay for each room. I informed him that I saw dust in several places as well as the floors not completely vacuumed. After he walked away from me, I had time to review the cleaning more thoroughly to discover that there were several areas their team had missed. When I informed him of the continuous issues I kept discovering, he told me that I cannot go back and say something needs to be corrected after I've already given the okay. I politely informed him that he was not going to tell me what I couldn't do in my home and that I would not have had to request better cleaning if his team had done it properly in the first place. Words were exchanged and his team corrected the problems but by this time I was frustrated and ready for them to leave my home. He subsequently called me and I thought it was to apologize for his tone and the inadequate cleaning services they had offered. BUT NOPE. He called me to tell me that he wanted to up-charge me $50 for cleaning my EMPTY refrigerator since it wasn't on my already $500 cleaning bill. At this point, I requested to speak with his wife, the other co-owner, who I had previous correspondence with. I explained the issue to her and she agreed to waive the refrigerator cleaning fee and give $40 off. I was exhausted by the whole situation and ready to just be done. To add insult to injury, I had an exterminator come in the same day and I told him about the cleaning service. He looked around and said the home didn't look thoroughly cleaned and it didn't even smell like any cleaning products. I would have left the situation alone if I didn't have to bring a friend in subsequently to help me actually wipe the inside and outside of my cabinets, thoroughly clean the bathrooms him and his team were suppose to clean, and numerous other cleaning tasks that should've been covered by their services. After speaking to several people about the situation, everyone told me it was important that I wrote this review because I would have done things differently myself had I known this level of service would be provided. Talk about a making a moving process more stressful and $450+ wasted. My hope isn't to scare people from using this service but for them to understand the impact they had on my moving process. I ended up pushing my move-in date back a week because I had to find time to actually clean up behind them.
