Plus most say "I don't judge" or "I've seen worse", because Rebecca just got to work I realize I've never quite believed it. The photo is the result of only four hours of work, two of which I simply hid. Some is trash, obviously, although I do have an excuse for the hamper. The rest is donations, things I don't use or wear which other people actually need. I'm not attaching inside photos: I can finally get to the entire floor but haven't vacuumed it yet. It's like this: once things started to go bad it had just kept getting worse. My walk-in closet and bedroom had gotten so cluttered I didn't have a place to put clean laundry, had sheets in various places, rope baskets piled on top of boxes - all with a jumble of crafts and clothing and books and whatever. I couldn't even find space to pull it all out to sort it. Rebecca arrived, I hid in my study. 2 hours later she had things to the point that I could come in and start making decisions. And she'd found four cat brushes - I kept buying new ones and duplicates because I couldn't find what I had. My homework is getting all the laundry done and put away. She's gathered other groups of small things I can easily sort through to keep only what I need. And collecting all the paper including stuff to be filed so old I don't need it and old files. Only some of it needs to be shredded and I don't think she knows what she's getting into but know that she can handle it. Then we tackle the next stage. my living/dining room. We all had good intentions: during the lockdown we pulled things out of places to organize them then were too overwhelmed to actually do it. Three years and Rebecca got this part done in little over three hours.

Both times they did a wonderful job handling all of the mdetails. When Mom moved, AFCM identified things from the house that would work in her apartment, and helped us buy beautiful furniture and affordable furniture. And they moved everything, so when we checked in with Mom all she had to do was turn on the TV and relax. Getting the house ready was a huge project, and Beckyanne at AFCM helped us plan what we needed to do and connected us with good, reliable contractors when we needed that help. The estimate from the plumber she recommended was thousands less than others. WAFCM got the house looking great, and we had all of our things either moved or shipped to family members. They even got Mom's things shipped to California when she moved. Moving older relatives and selling family houses can be very busy, stressful things, and I highly recommend Beckyanne and AFCM to help if you are making these kinds of moves. Beckyanne is a joy to work with and kept me informed every step of the way. We had fifty years of things to move out of the house, and lots of cleaning, painting, carpet removal, floor polishing, to do--the house really shined and we had an offer within a few days of showing it. AFCM did a great job with these very important life transitions for our family.

First, there were visits where I said what I wanted to keep. They measured the furniture and helped me map out the new apartment. On moving day they packed items quickly and professionally. The even managed to move some decades-old flimsy Ikea cabinets and my delicate cactus houseplants with no damage. They then set up my new apartment and by evening I could walk in and live there. I found that having my old furniture and pictures on the wall (which they hung) lessened the shock.

As a real estate agent, I've worked with her on two listings. At one, I noticed that Meredith had very meticulously organized the owner's home files, carefully organizing maintenance records and warranties into labeled binders. The owner was a high-level traveling executive who loved the order she brought to his home. When he would come to town, she'd make sure his windows were spotless, the apartment professionally cleaned and the fridge stocked. Even his dry cleaning would be waiting in place in his closet. She coordinated the transition of the sale so well, the new owner asked Meredith to work for her as well! Meredith is highly principled and discreet - a perfect match for the most discerning clients.
