I look for service, responsiveness, and most of all quality and workmanship. Dr Wheel covers all the bases. I'll be honest, I was a little suspect at first. Their process seemed a little too good to be true. After getting various quotes from a range of others, the price was all over the place from too cheap to extraordinarily expensive. Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

Jonathan showed up promptly and got work immediately on my rim. His work and skills are impeccable. It only took him roughly about 20-25 minutes to leave my wheel looking "Good as new" for less than the cost of a new wheel. I definitely recommend Dr Wheel for your curb/parking mishaps. Herbert was a big help for me with getting my 2016 Honda accord touring fixed. I had taken it to…read moremultiple mechanics AND the dealer, and no one could tell me exactly what my issue was and just be straight with me. I had an emissions system issue that gave me the code 'P0139'. The first mechanic I took it to last year told me that it was a simple o2 sensor issue (rightfully so considering the code I was getting), yet when he replaced the sensor, the light continually came on. So he replaced it again, and replaced another o2 sensor on the vehicle (according to him). When none of that worked, he told me that my catalytic converter was faulty, and that I was going to have to pay roughly 8k for a new one. Safe to say I didn't believe him, nor did I stick around and simply take his word for it. I started making calls and, at first, genuinely believed that I was going to have to come up with the 8k by summer 2026 (when my smog inspection was due). I thought at one point I was sold a faulty vehicle too and even tried to receive compensation for the error. Turns out that wasn't the case, and even if it was, there wasn't much I could about it anymore. I took it to others who quoted me ridiculous prices for a simple diagnostic, I took it to others that just simply couldn't tell me what was wrong, and then to make things more confusing, the light would go on and off and would even go off long enough for me to pass smog!!! (Even though the first guy I went to said my catalytic converter was bad). Then, I looked online and found Master Tech. Great reviews, great location in the South Bay (Torrance), and fair pricing. Diagnostic was about 160, which would go toward repairs if needed, and if they couldn't find the issue I'd pay zero dollars! When I first got there, already Herbert pointed out things no mechanic pointed out before. I was told and under the impression that all my sensors were new and changed... they weren't. He also informed me that my vehicle was an American built one (not Japanese or Canadian, which I heard can make all the difference in quality). That's information that, although wasn't a huge concern, let me know that this guy paid attention to detail and really cared about what he was doing. He then told me to leave it with him later on in the week so he could give the vehicle TLC (tender love and care), and to be comfortable with not having my vehicle for a couple days (wasn't a problem at all). Eventually he gets back to me after a day and lets me know that the sensor had to be changed out with an oem one, as the previous mechanic put in an aftermarket one. On the day that I picked the car up and paid for the install, we both hopped in and took it for a ride, and the engine was running smooth like butter now. No more rich running (causing my gas to burn faster), and no more harsh shifting. He then hands me over the old sensor and informs me that I should go get my money back from the other mechanic. It turns out, the other guy was trying to screw me over (surprise, surprise!), whereas Herbert was honest and righteous. The piece the other mechanic put in was a Bosch sensor, made specifically for German made vehicles. Smh. It was for VOLKSWAGENS and the like ONLY. He was just trying to get me to pay him thousands, and perhaps allow me to further damage my engine and transmission from the issues he was forcing my vehicle to go thru for the time that it wasn't working properly due to a lazy, incompatible o2 sensor. I was relieved that I found Herbert who was able to help me and install the correct piece for a fair price (443 roughly, as opposed to the almost 700 dollars the dealer would've tried to charge me). Luckily Fernando put me at ease and let me know that he could try and fix it and if he couldn't he wouldn't charge me a cent. Fernando let me know everything he was doing under the hood and was nice enough to explain to me the process of diagnosing AC issues. He was very transparent compared to what you get at an official dealership. He finished the work within an hour and quoted me at a fair and reasonable price compared to the Subaru dealership. Two weeks ago, I attended the 4WP event at the Ontario Convention Center and made a significant purchase from your sales representative. I was convinced that they were the experts and spent $10,500 on the installation. Despite being promised that someone would contact me in a few days to schedule the installation at the Gardena store, I was not contacted until two weeks later, on the original order date. When I finally called the store, I was scheduled for installation. I brought my truck to the Gardena store and left it overnight, but no one contacted me for an update, and the store was already closed. I went onsite and spoke to an employee, requesting more time to complete the installation. Around 7 pm, I received a phone call informing me that my truck was ready. However, I was unable to inspect the work due to the late hour and darkness. I even gave the technician a $100 tip for their work. Upon returning home the next morning, I discovered that both of my rear fox suspension components were damaged. I immediately reported the issue to the manager, who apologized and offered to fix it. He arranged for a replacement and even called me to inform me that the wheels (which should have been included in the original order) were ready. I am unsure why they were not included. The manager assured me that Friday would be the day for the installation, but no one called me again. This is a second instance of poor customer service. Additionally, my skid plate was not reinstalled on my truck because the screws were too short. I had informed them from the beginning of the installation that they were the experts and should take the initiative to fix the issue. I expected them to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. Why did they not sell me the long bolts necessary to fix the problem? What is a few dollars for long bolts when I have already spent $10,500? I am deeply dissatisfied with the recent experience I had with your company. The sales representative failed to fulfill my order for method ring wheels, resulting in poor installation and a lack of communication regarding the installation and follow-up orders. I wasted my time visiting your store multiple times, which could have been avoided if the issue had been resolved promptly. I also noticed that I do not have an upgraded spare tire wheel and tire that was supposed to be part of the package deal when I bought the sets during Ontario convention 4WP event. I was very upset and felt being mislead of your marketing sales and installation. I demand a partial refund for the damage to my suspension or you will remove all the parts you installed and receive a full refund. I expect a resolution to this matter promptly.
