Leo is the man. Just stopped in on a Monday morning and he ran the smog check right after he was done with the car he was working on. I didn't pass the 1st time because one of my monitors was in a not ready state. He tried to help me brainstorm what the issue could be and recommended I go drive around and come back. I did some research online and found that the vvt monitor does its check if you follow a specific drive cycle. Drove around trying the cycle a few times. Went back to Leo and asked him if he could check with his OBD scanner if the monitor was ready. He checked it right away and it was good! Told me to come back the next day for a retest and didn't charge me extra. Dealer and mechanics wanted to charge me $200-$300 to diagnose this simple thing, but thanks to Leo's quick support I was able to resolve the issue and pass the smog check. Honest and friendly service with competitive pricing. Will be back in 2 yrs for the next one. If you're in the area and need a smog check, hope you try this place out. read more

The owner saw me pull up in my vehicle and didn't move from his seat. In fact he had a scowl on his face. Mind you, he wasn't busy at all because he had no customers. He completely ignored me and when he did get up from his seat he pretended to do some work. Never greeted me. I got out of my vehicle and he finally muttered something unintelligible with the same scowl. I asked a few questions about my vehicle and he was very unaccommodating. The guy who runs this place is hands down the most professional and genuine businessman in the automotive industry who I have ever met and worked with. He does not try to up sell, never beats around the bush, is efficient and forthcoming, and most of all incredibly reliable. My car failed smog when I took it in, he didn't give me any BS he just told me as it was and was totally honest about it. He charged me 4/5 of the service and said as long as I come back within 30 days I would only owe him the additional 1/5. I went out and got the part fixed (he even genuinely expressed to me that he would love to fix the part for me but that he was not authorized to do so) and brought it back 2 weeks later, I was done in under 10 minutes. There are plenty of south bay smog checks around, I have no reason to check out any of the others, this man is legitimately that good. Highly recommend! read more

I went to that place because its close, they charged me $60 and they promised to retest for free I went to them after I fixed the car they refused to test for free and wanted another $60, claiming that they do it within thirty days which was not marked on their receipt. They are unprofessional, rude, stay away from that place, there is so many places better and cheaper. read more

Came here because I needed to smog a car that I just bought. Smog was done 96 days prior to sale, DMV wouldn't accept it. Needed to be less than 90 days. Went to another shop that ended up having a computer issue and needed to close up right before I could get mine done. Needed this done ASAP and called A2Z to see if they were available. Owner told me they had no one at the moment so I rushed over. Got me in and out in less than 20 minutes. Great value. Will definitely come here again when I need another smog check. read more

I went for Smog this place and will never recommend any one to go this shop again. He charged $60, which is lot more than other places.

Service was excellent and superfast, it took me only about 10 minutes to get everything done (Saturday noon)
