He was very polite and did a very good job clearing out the webs from my house.

this is such a scam . do not sign anything from this company. if you try and cancel they charge $200. this is a scam and they should be ashamed of how they are going door to door selling services . read more

Esteban did a very thorough job for this visit under cold and snowy conditions. Thank you!

DO NOT USE ECO SHIELD!!! The company is a complete fraud. Their service did not stop the bugs (ants, silver fish, fleas, centipedes, etc.). The chemical they sprayed left a toxic odor in the house. I had to leave the windows open all day to air out the house. They also missed the 2 re service appointments they were scheduled for. I was left to battle the ants myself all summer. I finally get fed up and cancel the service and now they are threatening me if I don't pay them another $145, so now they resort to extortion. Nice work Eco Shield. read more

So after blowing a whole bunch of smoke up my ass, rave reviews and signing me up for a contract and taking my payment, I am left out in the cold. Your website CLEARLY shows and advertises you service Chicago IL. I get a phone call 4 days before my initial inspection to get things going and am told that Ecoshield will not be honoring their contract and I will not be serviced. What kind of crap is that. I called asking for help with a serious situation and it looked you would be my knight in shining armour. Just got a slap in the face instead. No resolution, no alternative just an "yea sorry man". I will be going on all social media platforms and hope I can keep at least someone else from being duped by your company and letting everyone know what a fraud you are. Should have never agreed to help me. Shame on you read more

I will Never use this company or advise any other person to use them. My family lost our beloved 14 year old dog on Tuesday. On Wednesday my 94 year old mother in law and 20 year old son heard a knock on the door. The man claimed to know my neighbors and said that my neighbor told them about our dog passing and he wanted to come back later and offer condolences to my husband. When my son texted me this information I was trying to figure out who was this man and how did he know my husband Then around dinner he shows up at my door again and thinking he knows my husband and wanted to offer condolences I had him answer the door. It turns out to be a Salesman for a pest company?!? Why was he talking about my pet with my neighbor and what in his mind made him think that the death of a pet was information he should use to gain entry into my home! What kind of business tries to gain access to a grieving family by mentioning their newly deceased beloved pet? He is lucky I did not answer the door! Deceitful sales practice. Shameful. Do not let them near your yard! This is really 0 stars! read more

EcoShield Peat solutions is a fraud. They are the worst company I have ever been exposed to. I got conned into signing an agreement with them. Majorly overpaid for crappy service. One day a ring was stolen from my bathroom when one of their employees was working there. I called to cancel my subscription, it seemed like they allowed it but then a few weeks later an employee came to spray my house. He spent about 30 seconds at my house (I have it on camera and send it to them) and they charged me another $200. They did this one more time and now I have a $400 balance for work they claim they did which took a total of 30 seconds. And I didn't even want them coming back to my house because they employ criminals. They're harassing me and trying to get money out of me. LEAVE me alone ecoshield!!!!!!!! read more

We were actually very impressed with all of the technicians from EcoShield, they were prompt, answered all of our questions and emphasized if there is a continuing problem they will come back free of charge. Automatic renewal clauses always have to be put in your diary if you are unsatisfied, but I found the technicians to be great. I sure did not want to deal with the several giant wasp nests near our house and they did a great job of removing them. read more

Horrible service and customer support. Product is not effective at all. Even after service i still find problems. I called to schedule a follow up to have them take care but no improvement. The sales person falsified information to my neighbors to upsell. Overall i had the worst experience with this provider. Stay away !! read more

I've never given a 1 star review before. For EcoShield I'll make an exception. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They try to rope you into long term plans and penalize you if you try to end service with them. They showed up 3 hours late to their first appointment, 2 hours late to the next attempt. Never completed a full service and tried to charge $150 to get out of their "contract" which won't hold weight anywhere. Predatory. Fraudulent. read more

Khiree is great! Thank you for the great service! I highly recommend eco shield to everyone

A door to door sales rep came to my door selling pest control. I told him from the beginning that I'm moving before the year contract is up. He assured me that I could cancel whenever and only pay for the services that are completed. He told me I had to accept a text that came to my phone which was to verify my address in the system. Turns out it was a two step verification. verifying that I was aware of the cancellation fee. The representative actually pushed the verification button on my phone himself. Total scam! I called to cancel service after my initial service which I paid $169 for. They informed me that I had to pay $400 to cancel. Everyone else has paid a $200 cancellation fee, why mine was double is beyond me. I was completely scammed, this companies reviews speak for themselves. I've already filed a complaint with the BBB. This company is a total scam!! Please beware, don't let them scam more people. read more

Our technicians, Connor M. and Jesse Y., were helpful, efficient, and polite. They do good work!

I'll start by saying the employees themselves, with the exception of customer service were very friendly. Unfortunately the service itself did not yield the results we had hoped for. I spray myself, inside and out with commercial off the shelf products from Home Depot and feel like that was as effective if not more so. They offered to come out, in between scheduled appointments, but not sure how that would have helped. We actually had more insects appear inside then usually and long after the period they said where that was normal to experience. To get the fantastic discount deal, you have to sign up for a year of service. That should have been my first red flag. My family next door signed up for service with a different company and they were much cheaper with no penalties for cancelling. I just called and they offered to discount the service and/or come out again. You can ask them to come out many times if needed between service, but if the primary applications aren't effective, I fail to see how additional sprays with the same products are going to do anything different. Einstein's definition of insanity applies here for me, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Their remedy makes no sense to me logically. The customer service employees are not well trained. They certainly aren't empowered to make decisions on their own. No one is happy paying a cancellation fee, but the kept repeating the scripted remedies "we can discount" or "we can come out again" and that was their only recourse. If you 're going to lose a customer for now, don't let them leave with a bad taste in their mouth. If they'd have waived the cancellation fee I wouldn't be writing this review. Nor would I be going to NextDoor website next to tell all my other neighbors and surrounding neigborhoods to not use their service. So that 150 dollars they just made from the fee, may end up costing them thousands of dollars in future business. read more

I have a scheduled appointment today at 2pm to 4pm but the technician came over to my house between 7am to 8am and did the exterior part. Left without doing my interior but I was inside of the house, didn't ring the door bell, missed the call and left the voicemail that service was done? Really??!! Charged me for $135 for bimonthly that I signed up for $100 quarterly?? Really again??!! On time to take money from my account that cannot complete the service on time that was agreed??!! This is RIDICULOUS!! A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. No wonder lots of my neighbors cancelled the contract with them and changed to another company. Cancelled the service for $135 incomplete service and cancellations fee for $150. UNACCEPTABLE!!! Do not do service with this company. read more

I give the overall company 1 star where the servicing department bears most of the blame. They clearly have issues with their scheduling, following through with committed dates and the effective communication thereof. We have had them for many years but recent servicing was delayed up to two weeks for simple indoor appointment. Bugs don't usually allow you to wait that long and the issue naturally passed with the season. The complication appeared to be in how they prioritize their servicing routes. The supervisor also refused to speak directly to us to hear our concerns. However Steve G. The on-site tech did a great job and performed all required services. It was just too little too late. But hoping the review of him (5 stars) allows for his assessment to not be tainted by the recent overall customer service issues of EcoShield. read more

Initially prompt with service, became increasingly difficult to service over time. No showed the last 2 appointments and then left me a voicemail that they could not find parking which is a total lie. They clearly never came. Save your time, try another company. read more

Ugh, this is why I should ALWAYS look at reviews before being silly and signing up with a company that walked to my front door. My husband and I have a dog and worry about ticks in our backyard, where he roams and does his business. So we were planning on finding something to spray or treat our yard for ticks. When a couple weeks later a salesperson from EcoShield comes to my door (even though I have a No Soliciting sign) and is wondering if we were interested. I wasn't, I hate solicitors, I was on my way out of the door though so he kept talking to me while I was getting the kids in the car. Well long story short he offers me the 1st service for $75 (regularly $125 he claimed) and I would be contracted for 12 months, or 4 more services. I was hesitant because of the contract but it included the tick/flea treatment so I went with it. I asked him several times if I could cancel at any time. He said it would be no problem to cancel I would just have to pay the 1st treatment full price fee in order to cancel. What he told me: 1st treatment and each following treatment is $125. I pay $75 for today's treatment and $125 for 4 more treatments. I can cancel at any time for $50 discount I was given on the 1st treatment. What I was told when I called to cancel: 1st treatment is actually $325. I can pay $250 to cancel. If I don't want to cancel I can pay $99 per service, of which I'm contracted for 4 more. WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm NOT happy. They don't care I was lied to by the salesperson. They prey on this type of transaction. So here I am stuck paying $99 for 4 more treatments that I would prefer not to have. I'm too pissed about their business practice, lying, and lack of customer service to care if their service works. I will say though, at the very least, I haven't seen one tick yet this summer. read more

I am so dissatisfied with this service. You get roped into a 2 year co tract with the idea that after a couple treatments you should see a big difference and I have had 4 treatments since mid July and the spiders aren't going away. In fact they are moving closer to the house. read more

We had a guy show up at our door last year and totally sell me on signing up for this safe spray. We were actually looking into pest control at the time and the paperwork they showed me looked and sounded great. So we set up our first appointment and a follow up to kill any newly hatched insects. During the first few weeks, we were told not to expect much because it takes time for them to die, etc. About 2 weeks after our second spray, we were still not noticing a decrease in bugs, so they came out and did another spray, followed a couple of weeks later with our regularly scheduled service. Still no change, so I called to cancel. I was talked into letting a specialist come and check things out. The original guy that sold us on the service showed up. I walked him around the house showing him the still alive and very large silverfish along with some spiders, and he agreed the spray was not working and we would need to schedule a heavier spray that would require us to be out of the house for 4 hours. I let him know I would have to call the office to schedule it because it is hard to leave the house for 4 hours with my grandmother in her condition. When he left, we had agreed that we would end our contract as the regular spray was not working. They did not cancel our contract and the man showed up to spray. Not being home he only sprayed the outside, but should not have been there at all. I called immediately when I got home as well as sent an email that we are not to be getting sprayed anymore and relayed what the field specialist had said. I was told it would be taken care of and we would not have to pay. I got a notice from collections today regarding our account. I called to let them know we received it, remind them that they were not supposed to be doing anymore spraying and letting them know that we have no intention of paying. I was told we still had to pay because we were under contract and that we were not allowed to end the contract early or we would still have to pay. When I told the man I was speaking to that we ended the contract because the spray was not working, I was told it did not matter, it was still a contract. At this point, I am sending all of the email correspondence as well as a thumb drive with all phone calls to the collection company and probably to the BBB. I highly recommend not using this company. read more

Ecoshield came and left without a call, knock, or a ring. This has been the worst pest control company that I have ever experienced. You will be locked into a superficial binding contract for cobweb removal and intermittent spraying of watered down chemicals. What they are very good at is collecting the equivalent of a $500 per hour rate for a cursory visit. The sales pitch is great, including the infamous neighbor's name drop.... The service and customer service is 3rd rate. Stay away from this outfit. Buyer beware. read more

Rep cold-called me and left a message, red flag. Said he was servicing my neighbor tomorrow, and I could get a discount if I signed up right away, red flag for false urgency. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!! They come to your door claiming they were at your neighbor's house and have extra product on the truck that they are getting rid of for cheap. What they DON'T inform you of is that you are receiving the cheap product only for signing up for a certain contract period that you must complete. Even though they TELL you that you can cancel at anytime. Should you attempt to cancel services at any time, their fine print indicates you owe the discounts they provided back to them. What a JOKE! Their product DOES NOT WORK!!! By the time you realize this you've already overpaid for their service only to have them charge you a FEE upon cancellation. If you want to THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY, allow EcoShield to do a job for you. When you try to reach customer service, or better yet, a manager to deal with your issues, you are transferred to an OVERSEAS call center where they barely speak English and will do everything under the sun to sell you more of their products and services that DO NOT WORK for an even better price. SAVE YOUR MONEY! They do not provide any US based Customer Service or Corporate phone numbers. THIS COMPANY IS A FARCE!!! DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY!!! I'm confidant that all their reviews are the millions of overseas workers they hire for pennies to listen to irate customers. read more

Why I just give one star is because they simply are not willing to do what we pay for. If there is zero star on yelp, I will give them no star for the review. I called EcoShield about the mice activity on our property. They came and checked the place we have. I pointed them out where I noticed the mice and they finally found them, a whole family of mice, 6 of them. I was asking how they were going to do and get them out of my property because they do the Rodent Extermination as advertised on Yelp and their home page. We also subscribed for this service (Rodent is listed in our contract). The funny thing is they found mice but don't want to exterminate them from our property because they said "We are not a licensed exterminator". They asked me to do my own research and call other companies to get rid of the mice we found. If they are not licensed, why they can do the business and charge us for the subscription? Mice are not pets. They are rodents. Because we called you to find and exterminate them, you should find and exterminate them. That's what you advertise and charge us for. So disappointed! read more

Avoid this company at all costs. I was willing to pay more for EcoShield because they made me promises about how outstanding their service is. I quickly learned their service is awful, their technicians are rude, and their customer service team is very dishonest. We have had a contract with EcoShield Chicago since August 2021. It is now May 2022. We are billed for bimonthly treatments. Our pests still persist. The treatments seem to do almost nothing, as though they are spraying water. We were told the service had a money back guarantee. They will not release us of our contract without a $200 fee, let alone provide the money back guarantee. They have offered "fill in services" in between bi-monthly services, which have not been effective either. Now they are changing the terms of the fill-in services as only being offered 2 weeks after a treatment. The customer service is horrible. They don't listen to customers, they just talk in circles. The treatments are completely ineffective. I wish I had found a different pest control provider to begin with. DO NOT EMPLOY THIS COMPANY. read more
