Ants were suddenly taking over my home. In a matter of only 24 hours, I went from thinking I could fix it myself to knowing I needed a professional. A mass colony of sugar ants was living in a crack of my foundation in the basement and you could hear them pushing broken cement out and onto the ground constantly throughout the day. And tons of carpenter ants were both in my kitchen, and all over my stoop in the front of the house. I called them late morning and they were able to come by late that afternoon. Sprayed the entire house for a reasonable price, and didn't try to shove an ongoing plan on me that I didn't need. They guarantee their work for a few months too which is a great bonus. Jason was the one that sprayed my house and he was extremely professional and knew what he was doing. Within only a few hours I started seeing carpenter ants in the basement dying off. By morning, there were more dead ants. By noon, a carpenter queen had come out clearly almost dead. Within 48 hours after spraying, I had killed 4 queens, haven't seen any more normal ones, no more ants in the concrete crack, nothing. It's only been 3 days since the spraying, but I really feel like this worked. And if they come back soon, I think maybe the problem was just worse than we thought and I'm sure a second spray would clear them out so I still wouldn't be disappointed. He just came yesterday so I can't really comment on the effectiveness of the insecticide, however he does offer a 6 month guarantee on his work. I would HIGHLY recommend Able Pest Control. The service is extremely quick. I called Able in the morning because of an ongoing fly issue and was able to make a same day appointment. Jason arrived on time, and found and dealt with the fly issue quickly. While he was working, I casually mentioned that I sometimes have ants along my house's perimeter and he took care of that for me as well. I contacted Able Pest Control after finding a wasp's nest and arranged for a visit betwen 8am and 12 on the same day. This was important to me as I am allergic to wasp stings and so was prepared the pay the extra costings for this service. However, 12 came and went and no pest control person arrived. Aftrer 2 phone calls I was told that they had made a mistake and I couldn't get anyone until the next day at an inconvenient time. Therefore I cancelled my visit and arranged for someone else to do the work a couple of hours later. Well done to them. I can't recommend Able Pest control. read more
